Connor received the impression that Yolanda must have felt she had no option but to sell her body.
"No matter how difficult so things are, as an adult, you still have to rely on yourself to solve them," he sympathized. What's the point of pleading with now? Your master isn't that old, and you should have plenty of ti ahead of you. You may utilize this ti to build yourself up."
"It is too late..."
"I don't have your talent in ancient martial arts, Mr. Connor," she said, shaking her head in despair. Even if I were given 50 years, it is possible that I would take a long ti to beco an old martial arts grandmaster. Furthermore, the Profound Sect is now dealing with both internal and external issues. Even if I fix those difficulties inside the group, others outside will still be coveting us!"
"Given your lack of aptitude, why did your master choose you as the next Sect Leader of the Profound Sect?" She had enough ti to train a new applicant!"
Connor frowned and inquired, a little perplexed.
Yolanda softly bit her lower lip after hearing her comnts. Her face was a bit apprehensive.
"It's fine if you don't want to answer my question!" he murmured quietly, sensing her hesitancy.
She took a big breath and stared at him. Then she said quietly, "Mr. Connor, if I tell you why, I hope you won't tell anyone!"
"Don't be alard; I'm not as bored as you think. Furthermore, I am unfamiliar with the situation in the Profound Sect. Even if I wanted to tell soone, I don't know who to tell!" he said flatly.
"Actually, I'm the master's daughter!"
Yolanda turned to face Connor and said.
"So, that's how it is!"
He nodded slightly, but he showed no surprise. On the contrary, his deanor was serene.
"Mr. Connor, aren't you surprised?" she inquired, perplexed.
"I had previously predicted that this would happen. Furthermore, there's nothing to be astonished about, is there?" he stated it softly.
"You... You don't feel surprised at all?"
Yolanda fixed her huge, tearful eyes on Connor. Her face was filled with astonishnt.
"What's there to be surprised about?"
He questioned, looking at her.
She was dumbfounded this ti. She wasn't expecting such a response from him.
"Mr. Connor, you may be unaware that disciples of the Profound Sect are not permitted to marry or have children." If they are found, they will be imprisoned in the dungeon for the rest of their life..." she stated pathetically to him.
"I see!"
Connor stared at her, nodded, and quietly said, "So you can't tell anyone you're your master's daughter, right?" Otherwise, your master will suffer the consequences!"
"Yes! Mr. Connor, I've told you this secret so please keep this a secret!"
"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone about this!"
He gave her a small grin before assessing her. He understood that, despite her appearance as a chilly and sophisticated fairy, her thoughts were really incredibly basic and naïve. This might be why she said that she wanted to marry him!
"That's good to hear..."
Yolanda gave Connor a kind grin.
"Since the Profound Sect disciples are not permitted to marry or have children, why did your master allow you to be with ?" he inquired.
"Because you are the marriage partner, Mr. Connor." As long as my master informs the others in our sect that you made the initiative to propose the marriage, they will be scared to say anything because they are terrified of your might!"
"Moreover, if you truly agree to the marriage, then I will be your woman," Yolanda said after a little pause. Even if they had the courage, they would not put in the dungeon!"
Connor glanced at her hopelessly and grinned. He was at a loss for words.
Xandra was a cunning lady anwhile Yolanda was too ignorant to see the solution she had devised. Yolanda had previously told him all she knew, and all he did was just inquire lightly on the situation.
This might have anything to do with her surroundings. She had been at Xandra's side since she was a child, and she had seldom socialized with others, so she was naturally quite naive.
"What are you laughing about, Mr. Connor? Did I say sothing incorrectly just now?" She wondered.
"No…"
He shook his head and added, "I believe you're a good person. We may be friends, but I will not be with you, and I will not allow you to be my lover. You should call it quits on the marriage as soon as feasible!"
"I just can't give up!"
Yolanda gave Connor a determined look.
"It's not a question of whether or not you want to give up. It's simply that I won't agree no matter what you do. You can't possibly tie up and let be with you," he answered flatly.
"I'm not Mr. Connor's match. Of course, I wouldn't dare to do so, but I also won't give up. My master said that you are the only one capable of saving the Profound Sect!"
"You may not agree now, but it doesn't matter," Yolanda said after a little pause. "I'll just follow you around! I believe you'll agree sooner or later."
"You'll be following around?"
When Connor heard Yolanda's remarks, he was dumbfounded.
"That's correct. I don't intend to return this ti. I'll follow you wherever you go. I'll always be there for you," she said solemnly.
He couldn't say anything as he looked at her exquisite face.
"Aren't you afraid I'll kill you out of rage?" he inquired quietly.
"I'm sorry if I offended you, Mr. Connor. Despite the fact that I am following you, I will not interfere with whatever you do. If you truly want to murder , do it!"
Yolanda even placed her neck in front of Connor while she talked, as if she was at his rcy.
