"Unexpectedly, Connor's arrival has caused such a significant change," murmured Wilvera, looking at the people in the hall.
Originally, during the period when Connor was absent from Davenport, many believed that his influence in the Four Provinces had diminished. However, they now realized just how crucial he was to these people in the Four Provinces.
"I wonder what's your plans to deal with this now?" At that mont, a middle-aged man approached her and asked softly.
"How do I plan to deal with this?" She paused upon hearing the question and then spoke softly, "What I'm considering right now isn't very important. Unless those people appear, Saul's takeover of our companies is already a fait accompli. I can't change anything by myself."
"I didn't expect things to turn out like this in the end," the middle-aged man sighed, seeming to have accepted this reality.
Just then, Saul walked onto the stage and smiled as he asked the crowd below, "So, how have you all decided?"
The attendees turned their attention to Saul, their expressions notably troubled.
"I've given you all quite so ti to consider," he continued. "I believe you should have made your decisions by now. If you agree to cooperate with , step forward and tell . If you don't, you can leave now."
Clearly, he was issuing his final ultimatum, as he had no intention of wasting more ti. Regardless of whether these people ultimately agreed or disagreed with cooperation, he had the ans to acquire their companies.
"Could you at least let us return and think it over properly?" one person pleaded with him.
"What is there to think about in such a trivial matter?" he sneered.
"This may be a small matter to you, but it's a matter of life and death for us!" the crowd lanted.
"Yes, if we agree to your conditions, it's as if we're working for you!"
"Exactly, if you want to cooperate with us, you must provide conditions that satisfy us!"
"Even Mr. Connor didn't behave as arrogantly as you!"
"Mr. Connor?" Yannick couldn't help but sneer upon hearing this and then said expressionlessly, "Why are you guys are still ntioning that useless Connor? Don't you know that Connor is already dead? In the Four Provinces now, it's and Saul who call the shots."
"Since when did our Davenport beco subject to your authority?" But at that mont, a voice rang out in the hall.
Upon hearing this voice, everyone turned to look toward the entrance, curious to see who had the audacity to openly challenge Yannick and Saul.
A few seconds later, the crowd naturally made way for soone.
Kyle walked out expressionlessly.
When Wilvera saw him, her expression showed signs of excitent. The person she had been waiting for had finally arrived.
Connor had two trusted lieutenants by his side: Thomas from the business world and Kyle from the underworld.
While Thomas had lost control over thecompany, Kyle had never made an appearance. She believed that if he could unite all the underworld forces in the Four Provinces, there might still be a chance to counter Saul's power. After all, the influence of the underworld could not be underestimated in the Four Provinces.
"I thought soone important had arrived. It turns out to be Mr. Kyle," Yannick sneered upon seeing Kyle, then asked dismissively, "Mr. Kyle, what do you an by this?"
"In Davenport, it has always been Mr. Connor who called the shots. Without his orders, no one can replace him," Kyle said emotionlessly.
"Kyle, Connor has long been dead. Don't you know that?" Yannick widened his eyes and retorted.
"Without Mr. Connor's orders, no one can replace Mr. Connor. Otherwise, even if I, Kyle, must die, I will still make sure you all pay the price!" Kyle calmly responded.
"Mr. Kyle, do you really think your ager strength can stand against everyone in the Four Provinces?" Yannick laughed scornfully.
"With your limited strength, why don't you consider including ?" Another voice chid in.
The crowd turned to look, and then froze in place.
"It' Jonathan Steel! I never expected that Mr. Jonathan would also co," soone exclaid.
"Yes, Mr. Jonathan is here too."
The attendees began whispering among themselves.
