After wiping the blood off the blade of the warrior's knife, the woman turned her head and asked in a soft voice, "Are you Albert's daughter?"
"Yes!"
Aida forced herself to appear composed and replied in a low voice.
"You can go. I'm not here to kill you!"
The woman said calmly.
Aida hesitated for a mont upon hearing this statent, but without further delay, she turned and ran into the distance.
After a while, she had completely disappeared into the night.
Now, the square was only left with Connor, the unfamiliar woman, and the bodies of Bill, Hardik, and Gary.
Connor struggled to stand after hesitating for a mont. He looked at the woman and said, "Thank you for saving earlier. Are you the helper Rachel sent?"
"Rachel?"
The woman paused upon hearing his question and then shook her head lightly. "I don't know this person."
"You're not the helper Rachel sent? Then who are you?" he continued to ask.
"It's none of your concern who I am."
The woman's voice was icy cold in response.
Connor looked at the woman with a helpless expression. He found her behavior extrely strange. Although she had just saved him, she wasn't willing to reveal her identity.
Taking a deep breath, he said in a low voice, "Fine, regardless of the circumstances, you saved my life. Thank you. I'm leaving now."
At this point, he didn't want to waste any more ti with the woman. He wanted to leave this troubleso situation as soon as possible. If the Collie family's mbers caught up to him, things would beco even more complicated.
"Save you?" The woman couldn't help but chuckle upon hearing his words. Then, she said in a soft voice, "I think you might be misunderstanding. I'm not here to save you. Not only will I not save you, but I also just killed soone in front of you. Now, I'm planning to kill you as well."
After saying this, the woman lightly waved her right hand, pointing the warrior's knife at his head.
He was instantly dumbfounded, standing in place with a bewildered expression. He couldn't believe that the woman wasn't here to save him and that she was planning to kill him.
"No, miss, what's going on here? Weren't you helping just now?" Connor exclaid with excitent.
"Of course not. I don't know you, so why would I help you?"
The woman knew that he was seriously injured and wasn't worried about him escaping.
"Then why did you kill Bill?" he asked, looking at the woman.
"I'm an assassin. Soone paid to kill Bill. I've been waiting outside the Collie family's villa for many days. Today, I finally caught him outside, so I killed him. As for what happened between you and Bill, it has nothing to do with . I never intended to help you!"
The woman explained calmly.
Connor was left speechless upon hearing the woman's explanation. He had thought that the woman was sent by Rachel to help him. When she killed Bill earlier, he had breathed a sigh of relief. However, he couldn't have anticipated that the woman wasn't sent by Rachel and that she had no intention of helping him.
Taking a deep breath, he said, his tone agitated, "Well then, miss, you and I have no enmity, and your target isn't . Can you spare ? I promise I won't tell anyone about this..."
"No, I can't!"
The woman answered directly.
"Then why did you spare Aida?" Connor's eyes widened, his expression agitated.
"Because she's Albert's daughter. The Collie family is not to be trifled with. I don't want to provoke them," she explained calmly.
"Then how can you spare ?"
He took a deep breath and asked the woman in a soft voice.
"Give a reason not to kill you," she replied.
He hesitated for a mont, then said, "My na is Connor McDonald..."
"I don't care who you are."
The woman interrupted him.
He was left speechless.
Originally, he had thought that this woman was Rachel's reinforcent, so he had been relieved when she killed Bill. However, to his astonishnt, the woman wasn't sent by Rachel, and worse, she intended to kill him.
"I'll give you one more minute. If you can't provide with a reason not to kill you, I'll take action."
The woman's voice turned ice-cold.
"Wait a mont!" he hurriedly shouted at the woman.
The woman looked at him with an impatient expression, furrowing her brow. "What do you want now?"
"You ntioned that you're an assassin, right?" he asked the woman.
"Yes!" She nodded lightly.
"Since you're an assassin, soone must have paid you to kill Bill, right?" he continued to inquire.
"Yes!"
The woman nodded again.
"In that case, how about this? I'll pay you. Whatever amount you were paid to kill Bill, I'll offer you the sa amount to spare . Just give a bank account number, and I'll have soone transfer the sa amount to you imdiately!"
Connor spoke earnestly to the woman.
The woman glanced at Connor up and down, then said calmly, "You're not worth that much money. Give ten million, and that will suffice."
"You're being a bit unreasonable, don't you think? Why am I not worth eight million? Who decided that?" Connor protested.
