"York's Wallace family?"
A strange look flashed across Connor's face.
"That's right, since the founding of the country, the Wallace family has been the number one family in York. Although we're no longer the number one family in York, we're probably still ranked in the top five!"
Rachel said softly.
"Then, why didn't you tell your true identity before?"
Connor frowned and asked.
"The reason why I wasn't willing to tell you my true identity was because I was worried that you would get soone to investigate . The Wallace family's network is very large, even larger than the Empire World Corporation. Once you investigate , the Wallace family will see you as a key observation target."
Rachel looked at Connor and explained.
"What are you talking about? I'm a little confused. Didn't the Wallace family ask you to deal with Rockefeller?"
Connor frowned and asked Rachel with a puzzled tone.
"The Wallace family asked to do that?"
When Rachel heard Connor's words, she couldn't help but sneer. After which, she said indifferently, "You're too naive. Why would the Wallace family ask to deal with Rockefeller for their own benefit? All these years, everything I've done has been hidden from the Wallace family. The only person who really knows what I've done is my grandfather."
"I see!"
Connor nodded thoughtfully. Then, he looked at Rachel and continued to ask, "Then, why do you want to deal with Rockefeller so badly?"
"Because my parents died in the hands of Rockefeller's people. I want to avenge my parents!"
Rachel said in a low voice.
"I didn't expect our fates to be so similar…"
Connor said softly.
"When I was very young, my parents died at the hands of Rockefeller. At that ti, the Wallace family was unwilling to offend Rockefeller in order to protect their own interests. Even though my grandfather was the head of the Wallace family, there was nothing he could do. After all, if everyone opposed to it, my grandfather alone would not be able to deal with Rockefeller. I lived with my grandfather since I was young. My grandfather forced to learn martial arts when I was young. At that ti, I was still young. When Connor heard what Rachel said, he was extrely shocked.
He didn't think that Rachel's grandfather had already known that he might inherit Steven Lee's inheritance.
"Are you saying that your grandfather already knew about ?"
Connor asked after a mont of hesitation.
"I think so, yeah!"
Rachel nodded and continued, "Not only does my grandfather know about you, but he should also know you very well. He knows that you will beco Steven Lee's heir in the future. I could only choose to cooperate with you to defeat Rockefeller. Otherwise, my grandfather would not have asked to wait for you at the Porthampton University!"
Connor was extrely shocked after listening to Rachel's explanation because he did not expect Rachel's grandfather to know in advance that he would beco Steven Lee's heir.
If it was really like what Rachel said, then it ant that Rachel's grandfather definitely knew so other insider information.
So, Connor had rather complicated feelings. He thought that he was only here to pretend to be Rachel's boyfriend, but he never thought that this matter would be related to Rockefeller.
"How did your grandfather know in advance that I would inherit Steven Lee's inheritance?"
Connor asked Rachel in a puzzled tone.
"I'm not sure about that. You can ask my grandfather yourself when you see him!"
Rachel replied.
Connor took a deep breath and didn't say anything.
Now, Connor finally knew who Rachel really was. Rachel and Connor had the sa fate. Both of their parents had died in the hands of Rockefeller, and both of them wanted to take revenge for their parents, so they wanted to deal with Rockefeller.
Rachel's grandfather must know so inside information about what happened back then. Otherwise, he wouldn't have asked Rachel to wait for Connor at the Porthampton University.
Connor had many thoughts running through his head. After all, Rachel's words contained a lot of information. Connor was unable to digest it in a short period of ti.
"Connor, didn't you say that you wanted to do you a favor? What do you want to do for you?"
Rachel spoke again.
"Phew…"
Connor took a deep breath. He was prepared to put Rachel's matter aside. After all, as long as Connor t Rachel's grandfather, he would be able to ask about the matter.
"The thing is, I need you to help investigate the Collier family in York!"
Connor looked at Rachel and said.
"Investigate the Collier family?"
Rachel was stunned when she heard Connor's words.
"That's right!"
Connor nodded gently and told Rachel everything he had done in Newtown recently. After all, Rachel had no secrets now, so he trusted Rachel a great deal.
Rachel's grandfather had left sothing for her, and Steven Lee had left sothing for Connor. If the two of them joined forces, they might really be able to defeat Rockefeller.
After hearing Connor's words, Rachel was a bit surprised. She said softly, "I didn't expect you to do so many things while I was away."
"You're not the only one who's anxious to deal with Rockefeller. I'm also anxious!"
Connor said lightly.
Rachel looked at Connor and smiled. Then, she said softly, "You an that Yaakov Ward's hard disk is in the hands of the Collier family, so you ca to York to steal it?"
"Yes!"
Connor nodded.
"Alright, I'll help you investigate the Collier family. This shouldn't be difficult for !"
Rachel imdiately agreed.
