"I... I'll definitely comply..." Eugenia clenched her teeth and replied in a low voice.
Although she couldn't accept the situation, she had no choice. Palr was not soone she could afford to provoke.
"Father!"
Just then, Deryn rushed in.
Palr raised his head slowly to look at Deryn and asked expressionlessly, "What's going on?"
"Connor is here!" he stamred.
Upon hearing this, Palr's expression turned sowhat unusual, and he said in a low voice, "I didn't expect Connor to arrive so quickly. Well, this is good. It ans he's in a hurry too. Let's go et him!"
"Father, are you planning to et Connor?" Deryn's expression showed surprise, and he continued hesitatingly, "Aren't you afraid he might attack you?"
"Connor's enemy is no longer us. He has no interest in dealing with !" Palr replied confidently, then walked toward the door.
Eira and Deryn followed closely behind Palr, and after a mont of hesitation, Eugenia also walked out.
A few minutes later, Palr and his entourage arrived at the mansion's entrance.
Upon seeing Connor, Palr hurriedly went forward to greet him, as if he were an old friend he hadn't seen in years. He spoke excitedly, "Mr. Connor, I apologize for not personally welcoming you."
While extending his hand towards Connor, Palr's gaze fell on Connor's hand, anticipating a handshake.
Connor, however, completely ignored his gesture and said with a straight face, "Don't bother with the fake pleasantries. You must know why I'm here."
"I know, I know..."
He awkwardly withdrew his hand.
"Where is Yelena?" Connor inquired.
"Mr. Connor, let's discuss this inside!" Palr suggested in a hushed tone.
Connor didn't say much but walked into the Bander family mansion.
A mont later, Connor and Palr entered a room.
Palr proactively poured a cup of tea for Connor, then with a smile, he said, "Mr. Connor, this is top-quality tea. Please try it..."
Connor looked at him in a sowhat helpless manner and muttered, "I didn't co here to have tea. Where is Yelena? I want to see her now."
"Connor, why are you so anxious? I wanted to discuss a business deal with you..." He began to say.
"A business deal?" Connor interrupted with a cold smile, "Do you even have the capital to discuss a business deal with ? The entire Bander family is already under my control. What do you have to negotiate with?"
"Connor, your current situation doesn't seem favorable. Wadi is dead..." Palr said, still trying to keep a jovial tone.
"Wadi was killed by you!" Connor retorted directly.
"Hahaha..."
Palr burst into laughter upon hearing his words and continued, "Connor, it doesn't matter who killed Wadi anymore. What matters is that everyone believes you killed him. Moreover, the most critical point is that Faris is now preparing to avenge his grandson. Your situation is extrely dangerous!"
Connor's expression slightly darkened at his words. He asked with a hint of irritation, "So, what do you want to tell ?"
Palr no longer wanted to beat around the bush and directly stated his true intentions.
"Mr. Connor, I can offer you Miss Yelena, and I'm willing to give you my daughter and Eugenia as well. I'm even prepared to offer you a significant sum of money as compensation. However, I have one condition: You must give up all our Bander family's assets!"
After a pause, Palr continued, "You ca to Honduria for Miss Yelena, right? As long as you rescue her, you can leave Honduria, and then Faris won't be able to touch you..."
"Heh..." Connor smiled at him and then calmly said, "I didn't expect you to be concerned about ."
"It's not about confidence. It's because all of the Bander family's assets are now under your control. I genuinely didn't expect you to defeat Wadi..." Palr felt that the condition he proposed was sothing Connor wouldn't be able to refuse. Therefore, he was still quite confident.
Connor reached for the teacup on the table and took a sip.
"Mr. Connor, your strength is indeed terrifying. However, there's still a significant gap between you and Faris. That's why the thod I'm offering you is the safest way!" he continued.
After a mont of hesitation, Connor smiled and said, "What if I don't want to cooperate with you?"
"If you don't want to cooperate, you might not be able to see Miss Yelena, and you won't be able to leave Honduria either!" he replied expressionlessly.
"You're quite confident, aren't you?" Connor laughed.
"It's not about confidence, but you really have no other choice now!" he replied with a smile.
"That's not my plan..." Connor shook his head at Palr, then continued, "I don't just want to rescue Yelena. I also want all of your Bander family's assets, and I need to leave Honduria..."
"You won't be able to do that!" Palr shook his head decisively.
"Heh..." Connor chuckled, then said calmly, "Back before my final showdown with Wadi, weren't you also very confident that I couldn't defeat him? And yet, I defeated him in the end, didn't I? Now you think I can't achieve these things you ntioned. Let show you whether I can or not!"
After saying this, he stood up and directly grabbed Palr by the throat.
"What... what are you doing?" Palr looked at Connor in fear, his expression showing clear unease, and he stamred, "What do you want to do?"
"What do you think I want to do?" Connor coldly chuckled, then continued with a calm tone, "I'll give you a chance. Tell where Yelena is. If you don't tell the truth, I'll kill you right now!"
