Although the duet between Maya and Chris just now could be considered as one of Maya's best performances to date, for so reason, she felt that sothing was lacking.
Chris's piano skills were indeed impressive, surpassing those of ordinary students by a large margin. However, there was still a considerable gap between his performance and her expectations.
She was fully aware that she didn't have many options left. If even he wasn't suitable, she might end up performing solo. However, the nocturnal symphony required a duet to sound its best. A solo performance would inevitably feel sowhat thin.
Chris stood up and walked over to Maya. He softly asked, "Miss Maya, how do you think I played just now? Can we collaborate?"
"Your performance was decent, but so of the details weren't handled very well. You still need more practice," she responded, despite her dissatisfaction.
Although she wasn't satisfied, she had no other choice at the mont.
"Maya, are you planning to collaborate with Chris?" Mr. Joudan asked excitedly.
Maya's expression seed sowhat helpless as she replied, "Given that none of the male students in our school play as well as Chris, I have no choice but to collaborate with him..."
"Alright, I'll head back now. You two work together and I'm sure you'll dazzle the audience!" Mr. Joudan said with a smile.
Seeing Mr. Joudan about to leave, she quickly spoke up, "Wait, sir. I contacted my friend just now, and she said she's bringing soone over. I want you to see that person's skill level."
"Why not just collaborate with Chris?" Mr. Joudan's patience seed to be running thin.
"I'll make a call and check." She reluctantly pulled out her phone to call Priscilla.
Just as she was about to make the call, her phone suddenly rang. It was a call from Priscilla. She answered with an anxious tone, "Priscilla, have you arrived?"
"I'm already at your school. Where are you?" Priscilla replied with a smile.
"I'm in the music room right now. Let co and pick you up," Maya quickly said.
"No need. I can find the music room. Just wait for ," Priscilla replied calmly before ending the call.
Putting her phone down, Maya turned to Mr. Joudan, saying, "Teacher, my friend is on her way..."
"Alright," Mr. Joudan nodded at Maya's words without saying much.
Chris's curiosity was piqued. He wondered who this friend of Maya's could be.
A few minutes later, they heard so movent outside the music room.
Everyone turned their heads toward the entrance.
First ca Priscilla, followed by a seemingly ordinary young man. It was none other than Connor, who had been coaxed by Priscilla to co here.
"Priscilla, where's your friend? And why did you bring Connor here?" Maya walked quickly to Priscilla's side, puzzled.
Connor also appeared baffled. He furrowed his brows and asked Priscilla, "Priscilla, did you bring here just to see her?"
He was still upset about what she had done last night, so he was probably the last person he wanted to see right now.
"Maya, the person I found for you is Connor!" Priscilla said with a cheerful smile.
"What?" Maya's eyes widened in disbelief, her expression showing extre surprise.
"I know Connor's piano skills very well. He's definitely better than by a lot. So, there's no problem for him to collaborate with you!" Priscilla explained with a smile.
Maya's expression now shifted to unhappiness. She furrowed her brows and said, "Priscilla, are you serious or just joking with ?"
"Co on, silly. Why would I lie to you?" Priscilla laughed gently.
"But no matter how I look at it, I don't think he can play the piano," Maya said, looking confused.
Chris shared the sa sentint. He believed that Connor couldn't pose any threat to him.
After hearing their conversation, Connor couldn't help but ask with a puzzled expression, "Priscilla, what are you two talking about? Why did you bring here?"
He had no idea why Priscilla had brought him here.
