"By the way, Connor, you ca to see for sothing, right? What is it?"
Luna softly asked Connor.
"I do have sothing to discuss with you. Is it convenient to talk here?" he asked.
"There's no inconvenience. Just say it. My cousin isn't a stranger!" she replied directly.
"Alright then!"
Connor nodded and looked at Luna. He said, "You should know about the news that I've taken over the Heavens Club, right?"
"I know." She nodded.
Upon seeing the subtle change in his expression, Yerba realized that he was the new owner of Heavens Club. She hadn't expected it since he seed quite ordinary and young, not matching the rumors.
"In a while, I plan to hold a grand opening ceremony. I heard that your uncle is Blake Layton. Can you help talk to him and invite him to be our guest of honor for the ribbon-cutting?"
Connor looked at Luna and asked.
"Well..." Luna's expression seed sowhat helpless, and she turned to glance at Yerba before saying softly, "I think it might be more reliable if you ask my cousin for help..."
"Ask your cousin for help?"
Connor looked at Yerba, his eyes revealing a hint of confusion.
"Yes, my cousin is Blake's daughter!"
Luna explained helplessly.
"What?"
Connor was dumbfounded when he heard this. He hadn't expected Yerba to be Blake's daughter.
"Don't we look alike?" Yerba asked with so helplessness.
"It's not that, I just didn't think of it that way..." He realized his reaction was too intense and quickly explained.
"I heard what you said to Luna earlier. You want my father to attend your opening ceremony, right?" she asked.
"Yes!" He nodded quickly.
"Then, I advise you to give up on that idea. My father won't attend such entertainnt events...," she replied directly.
"Is there really no other way? As long as I can get your father to attend my opening ceremony, I'm willing to agree to any conditions..." he asked.
"I don't have any way. My father won't attend, no matter who asks him. Even if I speak for you, it won't work because my father dislikes others ddling in his work. So, don't waste your ti on my father. You can try finding another way or ask soone else..." she explained with a hint of resignation.
"Oh..."
Connor was at a loss for words, not knowing what to do next.
He hadn't expected her attitude to be so resolute.
"Yerba, long ti no see! I heard you won several races just now!" a voice suddenly interrupted.
Just as Connor was about to continue speaking, a voice interrupted. He turned to see a blond youth walking towards Yerba and there was a large group of people behind him.
"Ferb, I won or lost doesn't seem to have anything to do with you, right?" Yerba said with a disdainful expression.
"Co on, Yerba, I just ca to ask if you dare to race ..." Ferb Gray looked at her with a lewd expression and asked softly.
"You want to race ?" Her face showed a slight smile. Then she said, "Can you compete with ?"
"Whether I can or not, we won't know until we try!" Ferb said with a smile.
"I don't have the mood to waste ti with you. Whatever you want to do, just do it!" she said with a frown.
"Race for one million. Do you dare to bet?" he asked herdirectly.
"What did you say?" She was astonished to hear Ferb's words. Her expression was incredulous.
After all, his racing skills were quite average and not comparable to her.
Yet now, he was suggesting a bet of one million, practically giving money away.
"We will only know once we try," he said with a sneer.
"Fine, I'll bet with you!" She wasted no ti. She snatched the car keys from Connor's hand and said to Ferb, "Let's go!"
"Wait, my n are coming soon. Wait a bit!" he sneered.
"Your people haven't arrived yet?" Yerba's expression froze, looking surprised.
As Connor heard this, he realized that she seed to have fallen into a trap.
"Yes, they will be here soon!" He nodded lightly.
"I'm not in a hurry to race with you. I'll find soone else to take my place for the race," he continued with a grin.
"How shaless can you be? It's obvious you're being deceitful!" Luna couldn't stand it and shouted at him.
"Being deceitful? Haha, little girl, do you not understand the rules here? It's allowed for soone to substitute for in a race. If you're not satisfied, you can find soone to substitute for Yerba as well. But I haven't broken any rules. If you don't believe it, you can ask others!" Ferb said with disdain.
"Right, what Ferb said is correct!"
"We do allow substitutions here!"
"I wonder who Ferb found this ti. I'm quite curious..."
As Yerba usually kept a low profile, nobody knew the extent of her powerful connections. Therefore, everyone sided with Ferb at the mont.
She stared at him with wide eyes, her expression full of anger.
However, she had no other choice now because he was right, he hadn't violated any rules.
"Ferb, don't you dare to race yourself?" she asked with a furrowed brow.
"Of course not. I never said I would race you. I only said I wanted to bet with you, but I'll find soone else to race in my place," he replied with a smirk.
"How can you be so shaless? You're clearly resorting to dirty tricks!" Luna couldn't help but speak out, her voice filled with anger.
"If you dare not bet with , just say so. I'll go find soone else!" he said with a smug smile.
"What... What are you doing?"
Yerba was in disbelief when she heard this, and her expression turned extrely angry.
At this mont, Connor realized that she had fallen into a trap and felt sorry for her.
