Charles's Boss!

Charles's appearance shocked many people present.

Previously, many people didn't know Sabrina's father's true identity and thought that she was just an ordinary rich girl.

But now they knew that her identity was unexpectedly powerful!

"I can't believe that Sabrina's father is Charles. This is truly unbelievable..."

Yara exclaid, covering her mouth.

"Yes, it's no wonder Harold has been pursuing Sabrina for so long and never dared to force her..."

Laila whispered.

It should be noted that everyone present knew Harold's temperant.

Whenever he set his sights on a woman, he would do everything possible to get her.

But when faced with Sabrina, Harold appeared very patient.

This indicates that he must have known about Sabrina's father's identity in advance; otherwise, he wouldn't have been so patient.

After a long ti of not seeing each other, Charles and Sabrina exchanged greetings.

After their conversation, Charles walked to the front of the crowd, smiling, and said, "You must all be Sabrina's good friends. Due to work reasons, I have been living abroad for a long ti and haven't spent much ti with Sabrina. I'm grateful to all of you for taking care of her, so I want to express my thanks here..."

"Mr. Charles, you're too polite..."

Sheldon replied with a smile.

When Charles saw Sheldon, he couldn't help but pause for a mont and then asked softly, "Are you the grandchild of Deputy Mayor Sutton?"

"Yes, Mr. Charles, we t briefly at my grandfather's birthday banquet..."

Sheldon quickly nodded.

"Is your grandfather doing well recently?" Charles asked softly.

"Thank you for your concern, Mr. Charles. My grandfather has been in good health..."

Sheldon replied promptly.

"That's good..."

Charles nodded lightly and then looked towards Harold's position, engaging in a brief conversation with him.

It was evident that among the many people, Charles only knew Sheldon and Harold. He didn't recognize or show interest in the others.

"Co on, let's continue celebrating Sabrina's birthday..."

Charles cheerfully invited everyone and sat at the dining table. Sabrina naturally sat next to Charles.

"Harold, co and sit here..."

Charles gently waved to Harold, gesturing for him to sit next to Sabrina.

At this point, Charles's intentions were quite obvious. He clearly wanted to matchmake Harold and Sabrina.

Although everyone understood his intentions, no one dared to speak up.

anwhile, Connor sat alone in a corner of the dining table.

Although Charles had an impressive background, he had a very affable personality. He gave off a gentle and courteous vibe, and his way of speaking didn't resemble that of a powerful figure, but rather that of an ordinary person.

As a result, the others were no longer as nervous as before and chatted with him while eating.

Almost everyone present actively tried to please Charles, except for Connor, who kept his head down and focused on his al.

Occasionally, Sabrina would glance at Connor, seemingly worried about him.

"Charles, how long do you plan to stay at ho this ti?"

Sabrina's mother, Penelope, asked Charles softly.

"I should be staying in Porthampton for a few more days this ti…" he replied softly.

"Really?"

Sabrina shouted happily when she heard this.

"Well, I encountered so problems at work, so I need to stay in Porthampton for a while longer..."

Charles nodded gently.

Upon hearing this, Penelope's expression showed so concern, and she softly asked Charles, "Is there a problem with the company?"

"It's not a problem with the company..."

Charles shook his head lightly, then looked at everyone and said expressionlessly, "Actually, here's what happened. I've been assisting my boss in managing the company's business overseas. But recently, our company's chairman suddenly passed away, and now we have a new chairman, who is likely a relative of the forr chairman. So, this ti I ca back specifically to et the new chairman and discuss matters regarding the company..."

Upon hearing his words, everyone was stunned, and their expressions were filled with shock.

Because no one had expected that he had a boss behind him.

Although they had heard about the powerful figure behind him, they never imagined that he had been working for this influential person all along.

Upon hearing Charles's explanation, Connor's eyes flashed with doubt, unable to help but glance at Charles.

Because he felt that the situation Charles described was sowhat similar to his own!

Could it be that Charles was also affiliated with Steven?

But just now, many people said that Charles and Thomas were in competition!

"Oh, I see!"

Penelope nodded thoughtfully and continued, "The chairman you ntioned should be the sa boss behind you and Thomas, right?"

Upon hearing Penelope's words, everyone was dumbfounded, their mouths hanging open, their expressions extrely shocked.

Charles actually shared a boss with Thomas?

Connor's expression was even more shocked because he had previously suspected whether Charles had any connection to Steven.

But now, upon hearing her words, Connor could be a hundred percent certain that Charles's boss was none other than Steven.

Connor was now Charles's boss!

He couldn't help but sigh inwardly, realizing how small the world was. He had inexplicably beco the boss of Sabrina's father!

"Mr. Charles, weren't you in competition with Thomas? How can you have the sa boss as him?"

Sheldon asked Charles with great confusion.

"Hahaha..."

Upon hearing Sheldon's question, Charles couldn't help but burst into laughter and calmly said, "Although Thomas and I are in competition, we both have the sa boss..."

Upon hearing his words, everyone remained stunned in their tracks, their expressions filled with disbelief.

If this matter were to be known, it would surely cause a huge stir in Porthampton!

Moreover, what kind of terrifying figure could make both Thomas and Charles serve him?
