Almost all of the extraordinary beings quietly stared at the lines displayed on the screen,
their emotions more complicated than ever before.
For nearly every viewer,
the point of identification had always been with the countless characters hard by Otto.
When Otto committed atrocities,
their anger and condemnation toward him were instinctive and justified.
And indeed—
those sins were real,
and Otto was never exempt from bearing them.
Yet without realizing it,
everyone had overlooked sothing.
They had overlooked Otto's achievents.
Yes, they had been shocked and moved by his final act—
by his burning himself away,
by deceiving the Imaginary Tree and reclaiming Kallen.
But that alone was not the full picture.
Almost everyone had ignored
the contributions Otto had made
across countless events, one after another.
Otto…
was only human.
He was not a god.
And yet,
he left an indelible mark upon the long river of human history.
His feats
were enough to stand shoulder to shoulder with the divine.
He confronted the Honkai
with nothing but a human body.
He never possessed overwhelming talent or unparalleled combat strength—
yet he united and wielded the strength of humanity itself.
He did not uphold ideals of radiant selflessness—
yet he established and propagated the spirit of the Saint.
He caused the deaths of countless people,
and yet he also saved countless lives.
He was an evil man—
but also an evil man who sheltered humanity for over five hundred years.
[Keqing: …So Otto actually did all of this?]
[Hu Tao: ?!]
[Kamisato Ayaka: Did we… unconsciously overlook far too much?]
[Jean: …]
[March 7th: B–But Otto really was extrely annoying at first!]
[Herta: Otto has always been this way.]
[Herta: Most people simply choose to overlook his achievents.]
[March 7th: The bad things he did were just… way too morable!!]
[Kafka: People usually only see what they want to see.]
[Kafka: From the mont Otto appeared, he was placed on the opposing side of most people—that is, the role of the villain.]
[Ningguang: And yet, no one expected that such a "villain" would make so many contributions to humanity.]
[Fu Hua: Indeed…]
[Fu Hua: Even in humanity's struggle against the Honkai, Otto's accomplishnts are worthy of being written into history.]
[Durandal: Even if the Archbishop's motives were impure, and these contributions were rely byproducts of reviving Kallen…]
[Durandal: Schicksal—and humanity—should still rember him.]
[Einstein: Those hard by Otto will carry hatred for him forever.]
[Einstein: But even I cannot deny his contributions to humanity.]
[Einstein: He deserves Anti-Entropy's hostility—but also its respect.]
[Tesla: Hey! Einstein! You said everything—what am I supposed to add?!]
[Kiana: Hatred and respect don't always conflict.]
[Raiden i: Kiana actually said sothing like that?!]
[Kiana: ???]
[Honkai · Hiko: I honestly don't know what to say about Otto…]
[Honkai · Hiko: That guy is really infuriating.]
[Silver Wolf: The human heart really is complicated…]
[Sparkle: It's rare to see soone this interesting.]
[Otto: …]
Inside Schicksal Headquarters.
Otto had more or less steadied his emotions.
And the conviction in his heart
had not wavered in the slightest because of that final ending—
because of the falling Tianhuo.
The prematurely revealed future
only made his resolve firr.
It strengthened his belief
that this path was correct,
and that it was possible.
Reviving Kallen.
That goal had never changed—
and never would.
What Otto needed to do now
was to turn that beautiful future
into reality.
Even if it ant
sacrificing Otto's existence once again.
As he looked back at the screen,
watching the ssages flooding the chat,
Otto felt sothing unfamiliar for the very first ti.
Since when…
had he stopped being the target of universal hatred?
This is the final chapter for now.
