Sothing’s not right—sothing feels seriously, almost completely off...

Aether stared at the Wanderer before him, at the madness in his expression.

There was a strange, indescribable sense of wrongness about him...

Could it be... that the Wanderer had already been corrupted by the Eerie?

"Hahahaha... Traveler, will you willingly die here and now—peacefully?" the Wanderer laughed maniacally.

"Or will you force to torture you until you’re begging for death?"

"Make your choice."

"If you cooperate with , I might even tell you sothing you want to know. Help you clear up your doubts before you die—so you can go in peace..."

"Like, for example... Who exactly is the Third Descender? What is your sister really doing? And where is she now?"

"Hahaha!!! Traveler, I’m giving you only five seconds. Hurry up and make your decision!"

"Five... four... three..."

As the Wanderer’s voice rang out, a flurry of doubts surged through Aether’s mind...

Things he wanted to know?

The most important was, of course, his sister...

But as for the identity of the Third Descender—sure, he was curious, but it wasn’t sothing he was desperate to learn...

And then, a terrifying thought suddenly struck Aether—

If he was the Fourth Descender, then logically, his sister should be the Third Descender.

But in reality... that wasn’t the case.

Also, the little Dendro Archon, Nahida, had once told him that according to the Fatui’s intelligence network, his sister was not among the ranks of the Descenders...

If that was the case, then it seed entirely plausible that the Wanderer could use the Irminsul to trace his sister’s whereabouts...

Aether imdiately made up his mind—if so, then he’d pretend to go along with the Wanderer’s plan and draw so intel out of him!

And although Suo Tian had told him that his death-rewind ability didn’t actually belong to him, at this point, things couldn’t possibly get any worse.

It was worth gambling on that possibility!

"...Fine, I agree." Aether nodded toward the Wanderer and spoke,

"You tell the truths I want to know—and I’ll willingly die for you..."

"Alright then, but rember—once spoken, your words can’t be taken back..." The Wanderer smiled faintly, then widened his eyes at Aether.

"Otherwise, I’ll make you suffer a fate worse than death and pay a terrible price!!!"

The Wanderer continued,

"The Third Descender... is your sister!"

But in the very next mont, before the Wanderer could say anything more, a thunderous crash sounded from outside, and a figure suddenly appeared—

"Lumine!" Aether cried out in shock.

"Brother, don’t believe a word the Wanderer says..."

Lumine looked at Aether with a complicated expression and spoke softly,

"Don’t worry—I’ll get you out of here."

"Lumine, you actually showed up here?" The Wanderer still looked a bit surprised at her sudden appearance.

"What’s wrong? Why did you interrupt ? Do you really not want your brother to know the truth that badly?"

"Are you afraid that once he learns the truth, he’ll think you betrayed him... and turn against you?"

"Brother, it’s not like that..."

Lumine looked toward Aether and began explaining:

"The information seen on the Irminsul isn’t necessarily accurate..."

"Teyvat’s history, people’s mories, the records on the Irminsul—any of them can be artificially altered."

"What the Wanderer saw and told you might not be the real truth at all..."

"Hmph! Like I care!" the Wanderer scoffed.

"Excuses are just attempts to cover up the truth—and covering up the truth only proves it! Lumine!"

"There’s no point in talking anymore." Lumine drew her sword and pointed it at the Wanderer, then turned to Aether and said,

"Brother, leave this place at once. I’ll handle the Wanderer myself..."

"Su Yuan and Beelzebul are fine. Once you’re out of here, go et up with them!"

"No, Lumine. I won’t leave you again. I want to fight by your side."

Aether didn’t leave.

Instead, he stepped forward and stood beside her.

"The last ti we fought side by side... was against the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles, wasn’t it?"

"How long has it been since we’ve fought together like this?"

"...Alright, alright. Lumine, since you’ve shown up here, I suppose I’ve lost this round."

The Wanderer waved his hand, looking sowhat resigned.

"Lumine, take the Traveler and go. I won’t stop you anymore."

"However, let make one thing clear—unless you can stay by the Traveler’s side at all tis, the mont I find another opportunity, I’ll make all of this happen again..."

"You’re not like Dottore, who has all those segnts. If I kill you here, it’ll all be over!"

But Lumine didn’t seem to register a single word the Wanderer said.

Abyssal power gathered on her sword as she thrust it straight toward his forehead!

Yet the Wanderer made no attempt to dodge.

He simply stood there, letting her attack co straight at him...

"Did you know, the technology for Dottore’s segntation was actually extracted from ?"

"What makes you so sure that after studying his techniques through the Irminsul, I didn’t go and make a few segnts of my own?"

"Besides, I’m just a puppet. I’m not even the sa species as you."

"After the Raiden Shogun puppet’s body was destroyed, she was still able to retain her consciousness and seize another body—what makes you think I’m not capable of doing the sa?"

"Do you really believe you can kill completely?"

Lumine’s charge toward the Wanderer ca to a halt, and the Abyssal energy surrounding her dissipated.

She had to admit, the Wanderer had a point—there was no guarantee she could truly destroy him here.

"In that case, since you’re not leaving... I’ll go myself."

As he spoke, the Wanderer rose into the air, lifted by Anemo energy.

"Let’s part ways for now. But we’ll et again!"

After the Wanderer disappeared, Aether turned to look at Lumine beside him, his voice trembling.

"Lumine... Was what the Wanderer said true? Are you really the Third Descender?"

"But... wasn’t the Third Descender already dead? Her remains were used to create the Gnoses..."

"...Brother, I’m sorry, but I can’t answer that question."

Lumine gave him an apologetic smile and softly said:

"I know you have many questions in your heart... but we’ve always had enough ti."

"We will et again. I’ll be waiting for you at the end of your journey."

"When that ti cos... I’ll tell you everything."

With those words, Lumine also turned and left.

Aether watched as Lumine disappeared from sight, his heart filled with conflicting emotions.

He didn’t know what to say...

"Lumine... Lumine?" Aether called out her na, trying to reach her—but there was no response. It really seed she had left...

"She’s no longer here, but I still am!"

Just then, the Wanderer’s voice suddenly rang out:

"I never actually left. Now I’ve co back with a surprise attack—Traveler, bet you didn’t see that coming, did you?"
