Yurika carried a beautifully ornate box, filled with the Eyes collected as commission fees at the Ritou port, and made her way to Tenshukaku in the heart of Inazuma City.

"Yurika, it’s not ti for the offering yet, is it?"

Naoe Hisamasa, a stern-faced hatamoto guarding the entrance to Tenshukaku, looked sharply at Yurika and said:

"At this hour, you shouldn’t be here at Tenshukaku..."

"Today, a group of distinguished guests from overseas arrived at Ritou port and paid quite a handso commission..."

Yurika smiled. "Among the Eyes, there were so I’ve never seen before—truly breathtaking!"

"So I thought, why not let the Lord Shogun see them a little earlier..."

The next mont, a bolt of lightning cracked through the sky, and a voice followed:

"Let her in. I’m curious as well—what kind of Eyes could be described as breathtaking?"

"If they please , I shall reward you."

"Thank you, Lord Shogun!" Yurika imdiately dropped to her knees, kowtowing repeatedly before standing up and entering the inner chamber of Tenshukaku, where she placed the box filled with Eyes in a designated spot.

Then, with a flash of lightning, the entire box vanished into thin air.

Yurika was already lost in pleasant thoughts, imagining what kind of reward the Shogun might bestow upon her.

If the Shogun allowed her to make a request, could she perhaps ask for a house within Inazuma City?

That way, she could worship and admire the Shogun’s radiance from up close...

However, in the very next mont, a deafening thunderclap roared through the sky, accompanied by a voice filled with overwhelming fury, crashing down from above!

"Yurika! You dare deceive and mock ?!"

"I will make you pay a terrible price for this!"

Yurika froze... What did the Shogun an by that?

Deceive and mock her?

How could she ever have the audacity to do such a thing?

"I told you, didn’t I? The Eyes I require must be natural, real—genuine. And yet you dare to bring forgeries?!"

"W-What?! The Eyes are fake?!"

At first, Yurika’s face showed utter shock—then quickly turned into pure terror...

She couldn’t understand it.

She had checked those Eyes thoroughly, using every thod she knew—short of cutting them open herself...

Whether it was the appearance or the texture, they should have been real Eyes...

"Lo... Lord Shogun, please, let explain..."

Yurika kowtowed repeatedly, her forehead long since bloodied and staining the stone floor red.

But the Raiden Shogun gave her no chance to explain.

A terrifying bolt of lightning crashed down from the heavens, striking Yurika with unerring precision!

She let out a scream of agony—and in the next instant, she vanished from this world without a trace.

Not even ashes remained...

"Kujou Sara... she’s not at the Tenryou Commission right now, is she...? Then—Okuzushuu, hear my command! Bring every last one of those who dared to deceive —leave no one behind!"

"They are enemies of eternity—and I shall personally let them witness the might of thunder!"

"Yes, Lord Shogun!" the Okuzushuu within Tenshukaku responded in unison.

.............

"Uh... Kujou Sara, is this what you ant by ’no abnormalities’?" Aether looked at Kujou Sara, speaking a little helplessly.

"I’m not sure what’s going on either. At least in front of the public, Kamisato Ayaka appeared completely normal," Kujou Sara replied, clearly at a loss for words as well.

"Ahh, sorry about that," Thoma quickly spoke up, "I thought since Lady Ayaka hadn’t had an episode for several days, she had already recovered..."

"But it seems... she hasn’t fully healed after all."

"Ever since Lord Kamisato Ayato—the clan head—disappeared, although Lady Ayaka returned safely, she’s occasionally shown signs of ntal instability, saying strange things and acting in ways no one can understand..."

"But don’t worry—while Lady Ayaka may be like this, she’s not aggressive at all."

Everyone nodded in agreent.

Although Kamisato Ayaka did seem a little strange, there were no signs of any eerie powers on her...

Of course, they couldn’t completely rule out the possibility that she was just pretending.

So, to summarize the current situation with the Kamisato Clan:

First, Kamisato Ayaka’s eyes caught the attention of the Raiden Shogun.

In order to save her, Kamisato Ayato left Inazuma in search of a rare and precious eyes.

However, Ayato didn’t manage to find such a eyes, and so he attempted to fight the Raiden Shogun, hoping to take Ayaka back by force.

Although the outco of that battle is unclear, it’s highly likely that Ayato lost...

But now, several questions remain unanswered:

When exactly did Kamisato Ayato begin to undergo Eerie transformation?

Why did Kamisato Ayaka ultimately return safely, while Ayato disappeared?

Where did Ayato go?

Is he still alive?

And as for Kamisato Ayaka—why is her ntal state the way it is now?

What exactly did she go through?

Just as Su Yuan was about to ask Kamisato Ayaka sothing, a commotion erupted at the front gate of the Kamisato Estate.

"Out of the way! We are the Shogun’s direct forces—the Okuzushuu!"

Several towering figures in purple uniford armor barged in aggressively and without restraint.

"Where is the head of the Kamisato Clan? Co out—we have orders from the Shogun!"

"Send out your Shuumatsuban ninjas imdiately to track down the people who arrived in Inazuma today!"

"The Eyes they presented to the Shogun turned out to be fakes!"

But soon enough, the Okuzushuu caught sight of Kujou Sara and the others.

"Oh? We’ve searched high and low and yet found you right here—what luck!"

"Kujou Sara, you heard that, didn’t you?"

"These criminals who dared deceive the Shogun—seize them all and deliver them to her for judgnt!"

"Kujou Sara, why are you just standing there? These are the Shogun’s orders. Or do you intend to defy them?"

Su Yuan and the others all realized—the thing they feared most had happened.

If the Raiden Shogun had truly ordered Kujou Sara to turn against them, then this was a dead end.

There would be no other choice but to fight her—to the bitter end.

Kujou Sara seed to notice the look on Su Yuan’s face and calmly spoke:

"Su Yuan, I know what you’re thinking. But things haven’t reached that point yet..."

"Her Excellency the Shogun has always issued her orders to directly—she would never delegate them to others."

"If the Shogun did not personally give the order to arrest you, then I see no reason to obey the demands of these Okuzushuu."

"So, Kujou Sara... we understand now. You intend to betray the Shogun, is that it?"

The lead Okuzushuu agent stepped forward and said coldly:

"To think that the loyal Kujou Tengu, once the most devoted to the Shogun, has now beco an accomplice—protecting those who dared provoke her wrath!"

"I follow only the direct orders of Her Excellency," Kujou Sara replied flatly.

"You Okuzushuu have no authority to command ."
