For example, if a person weighs 100 kilograms and experiences a force of 100g, then the overload is 1G.
When a fighter jet is in high-speed flight and suddenly turns at a large angle, an ’overload’ condition occurs. Imagine a high-speed car suddenly changing direction; the trendous inertia forces the car to withstand a great force. Generally, a fighter jet with high agility is designed with a maximum overload not exceeding 10G, aning the fighter jet can only perform actions up to 10G.
This design mainly considers stability. Beyond 10G, a fighter jet could risk disintegration.
Additionally, the pilot must also be considered.
The pilot, being part of the aircraft, can withstand overloads of about 5 to 7G. Even those with a greater capacity cannot withstand more than 10G.
Warhawk-1’s outstanding feature is here, as its nurous variable design components make big maneuvers smoother, hence an action that would normally be ’10G’ overload, in reality, only amounts to ’8G’ for the aircraft itself, significantly enhancing its capability to withstand ’overload’ actions.
In ergencies requiring 10G overload actions are rare. During normal flight and combat, overloads surpassing 2G or 3G occur often.
For example, during rapid takeoffs or deceleration descents.
For most fighter jets, limitations during acceleration takeoffs or deceleration descents are not entirely due to engine performance but also include bodily limitations of pilots due to rapid acceleration or deceleration, which must be restricted. Warhawk-1’s design allows the sa acceleration to result in a smaller overload on both the jet and pilot, and the direction changes are not stiff but very smooth.
"With a cockpit that offers better shock absorption, the overload cushioning could be further enhanced," Liu Jiankun stated confidently.
He then proceeded to introduce aspects related to agility. For instance, Warhawk-1 could support ultra-low-altitude accelerated flight, even skimming the sea surface, as its agility design gave it a significant advantage, allowing it to adapt to various combat environnts.
