The actual tour lasted only four to five hours, with the rest of the ti spent waiting for the manufacturing process. For instance, a high-temperature slting furnace takes over an hour to reach a ’super-high temperature’ state, due to relatively low demand, and is only used once a week. The rest of the ti, it simply needs to maintain a high temperature. The ’super-high temperature’ state could not be activated especially for the expert group’s visit; it had to remain in its normal production state. Therefore, they had to wait.
Of the four people in the ’expert group’, this was the first ti Zhao Yi and Shen Binghe had visited the steel plant.
Zhang Hongtao had been to the steel factory a few tis, but he had little experience and lacked a depth of understanding of actual production.
Wang Zhifang, on the other hand, was very experienced. The process of making nickel-iron alloys offered no surprises to him. He simply took a close look at the details, asked specific questions, and spent most of his ti watching the process.
Zhao Yi and Shen Binghe both lacked experience. Shen Binghe, a complete layman, spent most of his ti listening to He Guilin’s explanations and buried in the docuntation.
Zhang Hongtao interacted the most with He Guilin, frequently asking questions about research and manufacturing. His pertinent and seasoned questions left He Guilin impressed and wishing, "If only such a young genius would join our research team."
Young capable researchers represent hope and potential future achievents.
He Guilin was very warm to Zhang Hongtao. Initially, it was fine, but it gradually felt like Zhang Hongtao had beco the ’leader’ and everyone else was supplental, with him taking the lead in the dialogue during the inspection.
Zhao Yi, Wang Zhifang, and Shen Binghe silently observed. Wang Zhifang was, indeed, pleased with Zhang Hongtao’s capabilities. Zhao Yi and Shen Binghe showed no reaction.
Zhao Yi was just indifferent.
Shen Binghe, who was always last, had no input whatsoever. He might as well have carried a sign saying, "Just passing by."
He was rely a supplentary mber and his involvent in the project was passive - what opinions could he possibly have?
Two days later.
After conducting inspections on the final cooled materials and taking a tour around the research and developnt office building, the visit was basically concluded.
He Guilin chatted warmly with Zhang Hongtao and saw everyone out. He appreciated Zhang Hongtao and considered him an extrely capable young man with imasurable potential in the field of alloy materials.
Nothing needed to be said about Wang Zhifang.
Academician Zhao didn’t speak much throughout the whole process. But as soone who was elected an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering for his contributions in alloy research and was also a pillar of Aerospace University’s materials science departnt, his abilities were beyond doubt.
Zhao Yi was just a layman.
Shen Binghe seed like an assistant who seed to understand so alloy issues but also seed to know nothing.
"It’s said that it was Academician Zhao’s decision to research and improve nickel-iron alloys. I wonder why..."
"An outsider commanding an insider?" He Guilin couldn’t understand and decided not to dwell on it since his job was done.
The group reached the main entrance.
He Guilin gave a symbolic salutation, "Thank you all for coming! You are all experts in the field of alloy materials. After visiting our production process, if you have any valuable suggestions, don’t hesitate to share!"
Wang Zhixin laughed and waved his hand, saying, "Don’t ntion anything about being experts. Your technology is already very advanced."
Zhang Hongtao said, "We were just here to visit and learn."

Zhao Yi said, "Team Leader He, after observing the entire process, I found many problems."
He Guilin laughed sowhat awkwardly.
Zhao Yi continued, "However, as long as we don’t tinker with the ratio, they aren’t major issues. There’s one area I suggest could use so improvent. When you mix silicon-iron and nickel-iron, you use a tumbling mixer. Disregarding the technology aspect, I believe that to prevent the temperature from dropping, continuous heating should be applied during this process to keep the temperature constant."
"Once the mixture is ready, maintain the high temperature and proceed quickly with the deoxygenation treatnt without any interdiate steps."
He added, "That’s my suggestion. You can give it a try. I think it would likely improve the performance of the final product."
He Guilin was sowhat taken aback.
He didn’t expect Zhao Yi to co out with such a comprehensive critique that involved detailed aspects of the manufacturing process. He was at a loss for how to respond.
Zhang Hongtao was quick to respond and said to him, "Team Leader He, Academician Zhao is a real expert. His suggestions are truly valuable. You must try them out!"
He again reminded He Guilin, "Listen to , give it a try. There’s nothing to lose!"
"Ok, ok, definitely, definitely!"
He Guilin didn’t know how to react but quickly nodded and agreed, and then escorted them to their car.
