Power departnt, operation room.
A lot of staff mbers are gathered around a large office desk, attentively listening to the suggestions brought forward by Zhao Yi in the middle. At first, many people perceived Zhao Yi as a layman trying to direct the professionals, probably just wanting to add their two cents to the design regardless of whether it was right or not.
So higher-ranked leaders and academicians from the engineering academy, after understanding the design of the electromagnetic launcher, would also find so places to chi in.
Under normal circumstances, it is all aningless, and soone would explain the reason for the design later on.
Zhao Yi was no different.
Although he is a top mathematician, a computer expert, and a biodical expert, he has nothing to do with electromagnetic launchers, and when he cos here, he is purely an outsider. After understanding the design of the electromagnetic launcher, he probably wouldn’t be able to resist saying a few words out of concern for his pride.
At this point, it is just a spectacle.
However, after Zhao Yi repeatedly brought up several issues, the relevant researchers and staff mbers shifted their expressions from amusent to surprise. They discovered that what Zhao Yi was saying was indeed very professional and logical, with no basis for refutation. Instead, it would lead them to think further, finding it to be better than the original design.
How... could this possibly be?
Ma Mingwei was already ntally prepared. Among the surprised crowd, he was the first to react, "Hurry up and write it down, hurry up and write it down! What are you all just listening for! Quick! Make sure to write down everything! Don’t let anything slip!"
"Yes, yes!"
Other people also reacted, hastily picking up their pens and papers to note down, and one swiftly started typing on a nearby computer.
When you say sothing and several people around you are taking notes, it gives you a trendous sense of accomplishnt.
Zhao Yi sowhat understood why leaders enjoyed speaking. Everyone would listen attentively, and so would even take serious notes. He felt as if he had beco a guide, leading everyone forward, and this made him increasingly enthusiastic. He said all the points he knew.
At the end, he waved his hand wholeheartedly and said, "Brother Ma, I am a true outsider. I just thought so things could be revised, so casually said a few things. If anything I said was wrong, please tolerate ."
"No, not at all..."
Ma Mingwei didn’t even know how to respond at this point. Facing Zhao Yi, he could even panic. He quickly waved his hand and said, "You are anything but an outsider. You are a real expert! Don’t put yourself down like that, it’s making feel ashad."
"Oh, co on, that’s an exaggeration!"
Zhao Yi laughed.
After a few pleasantries between Ma Mingwei and Zhao Yi, Ma Mingwei quickly assigned work. He asked everyone to sum up what had just been said, record them in the sa notebook, and discuss each point in turn.
They had started off as a group of people discussing. Later they found the environnt to be not so good and decided to move to the eting room next door.
It then resulted that Zhao Yi was left alone.
Zhao Yi knew that a group of people were busy researching and it was OK if they didn’t have ti for him. He simply left the power departnt and strolled around outside. The environnt at this research base was superb, covering a very large area and having excellent greenery. He located a small pavilion on the roadside and sat down leisurely in a chair to sunbathe. After a while, he noticed a line of people approaching from a distance.
He imdiately recognized the person walking at the front, dressed in cowboy attire and carrying a large bag on his shoulder, "Brother Zhang?"
"Brother Zhang!"
Zhao Yi walked to the side of the road and waved to call out.
A few people imdiately turned their gaze in his direction, and quickly recognized Zhao Yi. Zhang Hongtao warmly said, "Zhao Yi, you got here pretty early. I thought I would be first!"
"Soone picked up, so I wasn’t really sure." Zhao Yi shook his head. He didn’t have any idea about the ti as he had been brought by a dedicated person to the research base.
Zhang Hongtao quickly introduced a few people to Zhao Yi, all of whom were experts in material science, and one was an old academician from the engineering academy.
Zhao Yi shook hands with each of them.
Zhang Hongtao ntioned he was heading to the dormitory and would look around later. Zhao Yi didn’t have any particular place to go, so he decided to ’hang out’ with them.
After all, they were all ’experts’ that had co, so they could practically be considered on the sa journey.
All the way.
Zhang Hongtao elaborately explained to Zhao Yi the matter of inviting an expert team to visit the research base. "Simply put, we ca here for a tour, to take a look around, and if there are projects of interest, we can also take a look and learn a bit. After a eting at the end, we can leave."
"Is that so? What’s the point then?" Zhao Yi asked with confusion.
If it was just to invite a group of experts to tour, it did not seem to have any particular significance, as the research and developnt of the aircraft carrier’s technology is certainly highly confidential, so there is absolutely no need to do this.
"Of course it has significance."
Zhang Hongtao explained, "The aircraft carrier? The technologies, the research and developnt, and the projects involved are nurous, a single research base naturally cannot handle it all. Think about it, the issue is not only about seeing an aircraft carrier now. If we were just assembling the aircraft carrier, it wouldn’t matter whether the research was conducted or not. But we have to accumulate our technologies and progress. Surely there will be a second and third aircraft carrier in the future, and all this research is in preparation for the future."
"If we have the sa level of technology reserves as the developed countries in Europe and Arica, wouldn’t the second one be able to be a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier that has electromagnetic launch, the highest-level radar, communication, and is super advanced?"
