The risk questions have co to an end.

Jiangzhou Experintal Middle School is still maintaining a steady pace, they once again selected a ten-point question for the second round, successfully scored ten points, raising their total to 210 points.

Zhengyang No.1 High School also showed their fighting spirit by choosing a twenty-point question. However, twenty-point questions tend to be trickier, and so they lost 20 points - leaving them with just 170 points, essentially as if they’d gained nothing from the risk questions.

Yongyang Middle School, on the other hand, correctly answered a twenty-point question, bringing their score back up to 180 points.

The rankings of the four teams have shifted.

Jiangzhou Experintal Middle School remains at the top with a score of 210 points; Yongyang Middle School and Zhengyang No.13 Middle School are now tied for second, each with a score of 180 points; with Zhengyang No.1 High School falling behind, left with just 170 points.

The competition progresses to its final stage.

"Next up are the buzzer questions!"

The host introduces the rules, "There are a total of six buzzer questions, each worth ten points. Answer correctly and you gain ten points. However, do bear in mind that each question only allows five seconds for a response. If a team buzzes in but fails to answer correctly, they will lose their chance to participate in the subsequent buzzer questions."

He finishes and allows so discussion ti.

All the teams begin to discuss their strategies. Considering that the buzzer questions total to sixty points, it leaves about fifteen points for each team. With five mbers per team for regular multiple choice questions, their chances of answering correctly are quite high.

The key is timing!

A ti allowance of just five seconds is daunting—upon encountering offbeat questions, there wouldn’t be enough ti for additional deliberation. An incorrect answer would an loss of qualification, leaving the team’s score remaining at the sa level.

Therefore, careful deliberation is still needed.

That’s what Jiangzhou Experintal Middle School’s team is thinking. As they are already thirty points ahead of the second-place team, they only need to answer one or two buzzer questions correctly to secure first place.

Yongyang Middle School and Zhengyang No.1 High School also decide to play it safe.

Jiangzhou Experintal Middle School being thirty points ahead is quite significant, making a coback exceedingly difficult. Yongyang Middle School rely hopes to retain their second place standing.

As for Zhengyang No.1 High School, they do want to move up one or two places. However, the rule that there are no second chances if they answer incorrectly prompts them to wait and assess their situation.

The host picks up the microphone again, "Let’s now begin with the buzzer questions! Please look at the big screen."

A question appears on the big screen.

The mont the question appears, the buzzers in the contestants’ area light up. Zhao Yi smacks his buzzer almost instantly.

"Ding dong!"

"Team one?" The host is a bit taken aback, wondering if it was an accidental hit due to nervousness. But according to the rules, even if a buzz is involuntary, the contestant still has to stand up and answer the question.

The other teams look on, relishing in their misery.

Zhao Yi stands up, skims through the question at a glance, and imdiately replies, "D, Jerusalem."

"That fast?"

"He must be guessing."

Everyone finds it hard to believe.

The host looks down at the answer, remains silent for two seconds and then waves his hand vigorously, "Congratulations, Zhengyang No.13 Middle School, your answer is correct!"

Most people have just finished looking at the question and have a rough idea of the answer. The question was ’Which Middle Eastern city is the holy city for three religions?’

Such an easy question!

Even for an easy question, you still need to read the entire question before confirming your answer.

Zhao Yi was so fast!

When the question appeared, he must not have read it completely. He stood up, glanced at the big screen, and then stated the answer.

Lucky guy!

Looking at the question on the big screen, the other teams silently lant their missed opportunity. If only they knew the question was this easy, they would have buzzed in before Zhao Yi did.

The next question begins.

The big screen refreshes with a new question, and the mont it appears, there’s another ’ding dong’.

"It’s team one again!"

The host imdiately turns his gaze.

Zhao Yi stands up again, takes a glance at the screen, and falls silent for two seconds.

The other teams can’t help but relish in his bout of distress.

The question on the screen is quite long. It’s good enough if you can understand its aning within five seconds, let alone co up with the answer.

Zhao Yi then says, "B."

The host looks down at the answer, takes a deep breath, and looks at Zhao Yi, "Are you sure?"

Zhao Yi looks at the ti, and with a slightly amused expression, asks, "Can I change it?"

"You can."

The host answers with ease, seeming to favor Zhao Yi.

The other teams have not had ti to voice their dissatisfaction when they hear Zhao Yi say, "But I don’t want to change it. If I’m wrong, then I’m wrong. How many tis in life can you take a chance?"

A ripple of laughter sweeps across the room.

The host looks at Zhao Yi for a few seconds, laughing helplessly. He waves his hand and declares the result, "This ti, he’s still right!"

"Zhengyang No.13 Middle School, add another ten points!"

The score of the Zhengyang No.13 Middle School’s competition team jumps to 200 points, prompting the likes of Lin Xiaoqing and Sun Liang on their team bench to cheer in excitent.

Zhao Yi is about to take his seat.

The host does not move on to the next question, but instead walks over to the contestants’ area and hands the microphone to Zhao Yi, "Could you share with us and the other contestants your insights on how to answer the buzzer questions?"

"How did you manage to buzz in so quickly and still answer correctly? Especially that last question, I didn’t even get to finish reading it."

Zhao Yi looks around and chuckles, "Like I’ve said, we don’t get too many chances to take risks in life. If we don’t take a chance, we’ll never know if we can win. We only have 200 points now, still trailing the first place team by 10 points. If we want to win, we must take risks!"

The host gives him a thumbs up, smiles and nods, then walks back to refresh the screen. He also takes the opportunity to remind the other teams, "Get ready everyone, the next question is coming."

"Ding dong!"

It’s not No.13 Middle School this ti!

The mont the next question appears, Zhengyang No.1 High School hits their buzzer.

The students from Zhengyang No.1 High School have also co to their senses. They have the lowest score, and with only six buzzer questions, they must score high if they want to make up for the gap.
