Dai Tianqing silently scoffed, although the news still seed quite unbelievable. "You are ready to finalize the project, does that an you’ve figured out the chanism?"
"Yes!"
Zhao Yi, quite naturally, replied, "We wouldn’t finalize it at this point if we hadn’t completed the research. Director Yan wouldn’t even approve!"
Saying this, he continued walking.
Dai Tianqing hastened to catch up, a mixture of bewildernt and intrigue on his face. "But... but... what were your findings? This is too fast! Can you explain again?"
Zhao Yi stopped and said, "How about this, wait around until nine and we’ll go to the director’s office."
"Are you serious!"
Dai Tianqing still found this hard to believe.
Zhao Yi, deciding it was not worth wasting any more ti arguing, simply moved on.

"This isn’t gossip!" Dai Tianqing replied seriously, "This is a major project. We are all here to ensure everything goes smoothly."

Despite several researchers, including the director, being present in the office, Ai Lixin remained composed. They had been colleagues and superiors for over a decade, so there were practically no outsiders present.
Ai Lixin started explaining the research project, using the whiteboard in the office to illustrate as he spoke.
"We began by studying the effects of Streptococcal infections and based on the data from our experints, we identified the impacts of the infection on the blood..."
