Zhao Yi ntioned the related plan at the laboratory eting.

The main difficulty of the experint was creating a vacuum region. Creating a vacuum region itself wasn’t difficult; for example, a region of a few cubic centiters could be completed with so small components, but when expanded to a space asured in cubic ters, the difficulty would geotrically increase.

The experintal equipnt for creating vacuum regions available on the market could only create up to half a cubic ter, or an even smaller vacuum space.

So physics labs also had the technology to create vacuum regions, but the areas they could create were not very large, and due to the need for sealing, it was very difficult to add equipnt inside.

There was no physics laboratory in the country with a super-large vacuum area.

It would be sowhat inappropriate to conduct the experint in the lab, mainly because it was difficult to remodel the lab and they needed to add a lot of things, unless the lab was "seized for their own use".

Obviously.

Even for research related to the latest technology, the cost of directly taking over a lab and heavily modifying it was simply too high.

So, the eting decided to look for other thods instead.

The Z-Wave experint group would report the problem to the higher-ups and consult other departnts, perhaps finding the relevant large-scale equipnt or space.

In fact, a large vacuum environnt could also be created, especially after the developnt of compressible materials. Many compressible tals could withstand high pressure, but required specially manufacturing them, which could take too long to prepare.

The eting discussed for a long ti but still decided to look for a solution.

anwhile, the Z-Wave experint group could proceed without making other preparations in advance.

Zhao Yi didn’t need to worry about these issues with the experintal equipnt; he just needed to wait.

So he went ho.

Zhao Yi did not take a leisurely rest; he kept thinking about the findings of the experint—the spatial connection device transferred air, which was equivalent to achieving material transport.

Why did this happen?

That was the question.

Because he had so understanding of space, he imdiately thought of the answer: during the space compression process, the properties of particles had changed.

This change only occurred during the space compression process; it could be understood that the particles in compression turned into sothing similar to energy.

This was just one way of understanding it.

But undoubtedly, the ability to transfer matter was definitely directly related to the change in particle properties; otherwise, particles with mass alone could not be transferred by spatial connection technology.

This then led to a big question: What is space?

Although many analyses had been made of space, no clear definition had been established all the way up to the present.

Most of the properties of space were learned through the reactions of the latest technology.

For example, space could absorb energy, and when it reached the limit of energy absorption, it would create an anti-energy barrier that isolated energy.

Moreover, space could be compressed by Z-Waves.

And so on.

These were all external reactions, not direct descriptions of space.

What space was exactly still remained a question without the slightest clue, mainly because understanding of space was too limited, similar to how the physical properties of Z-Wave regions had yet to be explored.

Similar research would require a collective effort of many scientists, just like constructing the standard model of particles—it needed a series of large experints and observations of unimaginable scenarios to improve the particle model.

The research on space was the sa; rely understanding it mathematically couldn’t fully comprehend space.

After returning ho, Zhao Yi pondered over the problem of space, but no matter how much he thought, he couldn’t find a clue. Knowing that staying cooped up would lead to no progress, he decided to go out and wander around.

He visited the nearby park, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, and even large malls, but he gained no insights from wandering around.

In the end, he returned to Yanhua University, partly to check on the lab situation and also because he was familiar with the university environnt. Being in the university might help with his research.

Zhao Yi arrived in front of a familiar building.

"Information Experint Building?"

He glanced at the na of the building and entered with a smile.

This was the Intelligent and Automation Laboratory.

The last ti he ca to the Information Experint Building was two years ago. Mainly because he was always busy and often not around Yanhua University. Even when he was at Yanhua University, he wouldn’t co to the Information Experint Building as his research didn’t involve computer science.

Upon entering the Information Building, he headed straight for the second floor, and at the door, he happened to run into Qian Zhijin.

Qian Zhijin thought he was a student and imdiately reminded him, "Young man, it’s almost ti. Who are you here to see?"

"To see you," Zhao Yi said with a smile.

"Ah?"

Qian Zhijin was taken aback, recognizing the familiar voice, and after a careful look, he realized it was Zhao Yi. He joyfully said, "Zhao Yi, Academician Zhao, such a busy man, what brings you to ?"

"Just passing by, so I thought I’d co up and take a look."

"Is that so? Please co in!" Qian Zhijin was about to leave work for the day, but upon seeing Zhao Yi, he imdiately decided to ’work overti.’ He invited Zhao Yi into the lab.

There were people still working in the lab, likely doctoral and master’s students doing research.
