Chapter 996: Chapter 57 Third Question_2

“Generally speaking, I believe that the death of an individual, or even dozens or hundreds of people, may not be sufficient to break through Space-Ti Elasticity and cause a shift in the world line. Our previous experints have also confird that ti-space itself is very inert and resistant to change, far less sensitive than the intuitive butterfly effect.”

Speaking,

Liu Feng walked to the blackboard.

He picked up a piece of chalk and drew four parallel lines on the blackboard.

The bottom three parallel lines were spaced quite far apart, about five or six centiters; but the topmost parallel line had a much larger spacing of about thirty to forty centiters.

Liu Feng, holding the chalk, pointed to the bottommost parallel line:

“This is the 0.0000000 world line when we calibrated the Space-Ti Clock; then moving up one line, after Jask destroyed the Entangled State of Ti-Space Particle, it shifted to the 0.0000042 world line.”

“Later you went to Dragon Science Academy, established the second Rhein Laboratory, and the world line shifted again, reaching the 0.0000084 world line; today, due to the death of that digital human, the world line, like running wild, has reached the 0.0000336 world line.”

“Logically speaking… this change is so significant, shouldn’t The Future World have been drastically altered? Otherwise, how are we to understand the value of space-ti curvature?”

On the way here,

Lin Xian had also been pondering this issue.

But he believed that the magnitude of space-ti curvature change might not solely be indicative of the extent of future world changes.

For instance, the shift from the 0.0000000 world line to the 0.0000042 world line, from the perspective of Earth people, the change in the future world between these two lines is imnse… ‘drastic change’ is an understatent.

However,

the change in space-ti curvature was rely this minimal value of 0.0000042.

And looking at the change from The Fifth Dreamland to The Sixth Dreamland,

even though the shift isn’t major, it’s also marked by this minimal value of 0.0000042.

From a setup standpoint, isn’t this contradictory?

“I think, currently, there are two conjectures.”

Lin Xian raised a finger:

“[The first conjecture is that the Space-Ti Coordinates themselves are arranged in disorder; proximity between two coordinates doesn’t necessarily an great similarity or minor change.]”

Then, he raised a second finger:

“[The second conjecture is that the Space-Ti Coordinates are indeed orderly, it’s just that the magnitude of space-ti curvature change and the degree of change in the future world are not judged and asured from a human subjective perspective.]”

“I don’t know if you can understand what I’m saying. Let give an example… For humans, if all humans on Earth were to go extinct, that should be a significant change in space-ti curvature, right?”

“But for Earth? Is this change really significant? I think it’s not significant at all, as humans were neither the first nor will be the last inhabitants of Earth. Therefore, from the perspective of Earth, the change in space-ti curvature is not significant. The mountains and rivers are still there; it’s just that humans are gone, which for Earth is rely a scratch.”

“So… how should we understand the magnitude of changes in space-ti curvature? Including the so-called ‘drastic changes’ and ‘minor disturbances’ of the future world… from what perspective, reference system, and benchmark are these judged?”

Lin Xian’s words

once again sent Liu Feng into deep thought.

He pursed his lips, thought for a long ti, and looked up:

“Your two conjectures, I believe the first is necessarily incorrect. Nurous results indicate that the universe and the space-ti must be orderly, must be concise and beautiful… hence, a greater movent in space-ti curvature surely signifies a greater deviation angle of the world line.”

“But the problem lies in your second conjecture… who’s perspective is the change magnitude observed from? Where is the reference system?”

“From the Primitive Era to the information industrial era, this is considered a drastic change for humans; but for Earth, this key leap of human civilization doesn’t even fully utilize the resources of the Earth’s crust layer, can it be considered a drastic change? Only a minor one.”

“Global temperature rising by 5 degrees, is this a drastic or minor change? Atmospheric oxygen concentration increasing by 5%, is this drastic or minor? For Earth, it is certainly a minor change, but for all living beings on Earth… it’s absolutely a drastic change.”

Liu Feng smacked his lips:

“Lin Xian, you have provided with a very valuable idea—”

“[How do we define the magnitude of changes in space-ti curvature?]”

“We definitely can’t judge from our human perspective, this is absolute, because humans are not special in the universe and space-ti; we do not qualify as a benchmark.”

“But if you ask what the correct answer is… I can’t figure it out at all, it feels like it involves the most fundantal rules and laws of the universe, even… the ‘Space-ti Law’ we haven’t ntioned for a long ti.”

“Perhaps we still need more experintal data.”

Liu Feng walked to the experintal table and patted the Space-Ti Clock displaying 0.0000336, an eight-digit number:

“We first need to determine whether the future of this world line has a larger change in magnitude compared to the previous world lines, and then we can make further judgnts and summaries.”

Lin Xian nodded.

He thought so too.

Originally, he had planned to quickly find out the third question of the Genius Club test and then sleep to visit The Seventh Dreamland.

But Zhao Yingjun’s call delayed everything.

Might as well handle everything tonight, after returning ho.

“By the way.”

Lin Xian turned his head, looking at Liu Feng:

“Do you rember anything about the na [Du Yao]? Earlier, when you heard the na Nangong ngjie, you knew who she was… Du Yao should be a genius scientist in the field of neurological, have you heard this na before?”
