Lin Xian waved his hand:
"That isn’t the focus, what I an is, Copernicus and Newton could have added another assistant to the Genius Club, but in the end, likely out of caution, they chose to seal the invitation."
"Because of this, including Einstein, the Genius Club could only have 8 mbers. The appearance of the 9th genius is implausible... unless soone managed to steal the invitation from Newton."
"But the probability of that is too low. There are three exam questions behind the invitation that need answering, not sothing that can be completed quickly, nor is everyone capable of answering them."
"So... from the mont I joined the Genius Club, Copernicus and Newton clearly knew that amongst those joining the Genius Club after acquiring this invitation... there must be soone who obtained the invitation through space-ti travel or transmission thods!"
VV mimicked Lin Xian’s gesture and spread his hands:
"If we think of the worst case, Copernicus and Newton only found the invitation and hid it after Kevin Walker joined the Genius Club... then the person able to communicate with the future is obviously you; your appearance effectively confesses itself."
"However, based on the situation at the ti, your sudden appearance in the Genius Club did leave them flustered; this could also easily explain why Copernicus was deceived by your false ’space-ti particle intelligence’ because your words and identity were indeed too convincing, Copernicus didn’t dare to gamble on you lying."
"Moreover, if they didn’t know much about space-ti travelers, they might have even suspected you from a space-ti traveler perspective."
"But I do have one question, Copernicus was strangely obsessed with 42 and claid it was out of respect for scientists. He always upheld his principles and never killed innocents, only those mathematicians who calculated 42, even using other scientists as a guise to conceal the true agenda."
"But Newton is different; Newton is obviously far less principled than Copernicus; he never adhered to principles nor cared for ceremony or obsession... so why did he never trouble you?"
Upon hearing VV’s analysis,
Lin Xian shook his head:
"The answer is simple, and Newton himself just provided it—"
"[Everything is for the sake of maintaining world-line stability.]"
Lin Xian leaned back in his chair, exhaling through his nose.
He spoke slowly:
"Although Newton and Copernicus were in collaboration, they had differences in the details."
"Copernicus valued respect and ceremony, whereas Newton spared no effort to ensure the stability of the perfect world-line; their focuses were different."
"The fact that I killed Copernicus was certainly known by Newton, which is why Copernicus smiled before his death."
"Because with his remaining life, he fully exposed as the one disturbing history and communicating with the future, locking the target onto ."
"Afterwards, when Einstein announced the achievent of the perfect world-line, Newton had already accepted my existence as part of the world-line’s stability, so he certainly wouldn’t trouble ."
"His only goal was the world-line, only the most beautiful future of humanity spoken by Einstein, and even... including Einstein’s death, his willingness to die by suicide rather than reveal any intelligence to , was also part of maintaining world-line stability in his eyes."
...
For a long while, Lin Xian and VV said nothing.
VV’s deep green light slowly flickered, eventually fading away:
"Lin Xian, I suddenly feel a deep sadness."
It lowered its head:
"It’s not Newton’s death that saddens , but... have you noticed, whether it’s Einstein, Copernicus, or Gauss who led to the separation between you and Zhao Yingjun Yu Xi, or Kevin Walker who attempted to kill you..."
"[Every genius in the Genius Club isn’t inherently evil, nor are they criminals who kill for joy; everyone holds a heart to save the world, but ultimately... they are deceived by the false future fabricated by the Black Hand and tread on an erroneous and extre path.]"
"I imagine, they must’ve once tried using other gentler, more acceptable thods to save the future, just like Da Vinci and Jask. But Einstein’s feedback was all negative; forced by circumstance, they could only veer off course... and mistakenly believe the false future."
Lin Xian remained silent.
He certainly understood VV’s point.
The Genius Club mbers, though most of them are now deceased, undeniably possessed world-class intelligence and talent.
If they were given proper guidance, proper feedback...
Perhaps, even when faced with the mysterious power’s World-Ending White Light, this group of geniuses standing at the pinnacle of human intellect could unite and possibly overco it.
Suddenly.
A flash of inspiration crossed Lin Xian’s mind.
Indeed.
The Genius Club itself wasn’t wrong;
Einstein himself wasn’t wrong either;
The initial intentions of the geniuses were good;
It was only the false future of the mysterious power that deceived everyone, leading these geniuses to steer the world astray.
What if...
Gather the real geniuses!
Forge true unity!
Provide genuine feedback about the future!
Take on genuine responsibility!
Would it.
Be able to save all of this, redeem Einstein’s regret, rectify the mistakes of the geniuses, reclaim humanity from the brink of extinction?
Lin Xian took a deep breath and stood up.
He kneaded the Genius Club Golden Badge in his hand, looking at the moon rising slowly outside the window:
"The Genius Club itself isn’t flawed, it’s an organization that enshrines ’higher position entails greater responsibility’ in its rules, aid at ’a beautiful future for humanity,’ asserting that ’geniuses have both the power and the duty’ as a saving entity."
"I have never regretted joining this club, and I understand, that the establishnt of this club and its badge design largely ties back to Douglas... which is due to ."
"So, in that sense, I am sowhat a co-founder of the Genius Club, right? Therefore, at this mont, higher position entails greater responsibility, and I must take on this responsibility!"
"VV."
Lin Xian looked down firmly, gazing at the Hafnium alloy trash can:
"[Let’s establish... a new Genius Club!]"
