Chi.

Winds tore apart around Sylas. He held out his scythe, its blade so long and curved it practically wrapped around him. Its black blade glinted beneath the raging golden light, and as Unitaur, Auran, and Golden Race mbers appeared one after another, his own montum only grew.

Sparks of lightning danced between his horns.

An impossible challenge, indeed.

He didn't give a damn.

BANG.

His body entered to a sudden stop around three Unitaurs. He didn't even look like he moved, and yet their bodies were sliced to ribbons, blood filling the skies.

The Monkey King had a nice little strategy. He knew what would happen to these people.

As well as Sylas understood the Sanguara, he understood the mbers of the Golden Race even better than that. He had literally comprehended the Golden Battlefield, a field designed to reflect their creation and allow them to move forward and backward through their own evolutionary path.

How could he not comprehend them?

On the way here, he had even fought against one golden monkey after another, coming to comprehend them a great deal as well. And from what he could see here, the golden monkeys were quite literally the foundation that ford the Golden Races.

Before his scythe…

They didn't even have the right to block.

Chi. Chi. Chi.

Sylas' blade danced, every step he took, at least two died, and then three after, and then four after that.

Sylas exhaled a heated breath, sparking lines of lightning and fire lighting in his wake. His head slipped to the side of a glaive, his fist driving into the body of a Unitaur with such force its spine ejected from the back of its horse tail.

He vanished, appearing behind it and snatching the line of bones out of the air.

He tossed it into the skies, his scythe flashing and splitting it into its vertebrae. Slapping out a palm at the churning winds, Runes blood across its body and in a flash, they shot out like the shards of a grenade.

Pa. Pa. Pa. Pa. Pa.

The second weakness of this place was that in order to pull all this off, the Monkey King had no choice but to piggyback off of the existence of a Split Realm. On his own, he had no ability to travel to the past, that was why they were here in the first place.

The problem with that was that the entire realm was capped to whatever Sylas' tier of strength was.

This alone wasn't that much of a problem, especially if the Monkey King could just throw more enemies than Sylas could possibly keep up with at him. Even now, the numbers of Golden Race mbers were only increasing faster than Sylas could even kill them. At this rate, no matter how powerful or good Sylas was at cutting them down, he would eventually run out of energy.

However… the Monkey King hadn't known exactly what tier Sylas would be in when he entered. As much as he planned, he couldn't account for everything, especially not when he couldn't truly go into the past or guess what level Sylas would be at in the future.

As such, he had been forced to tweak the Split Realm into one any tier could enter.

That had led to the fluctuating Wills Sylas had experienced when he first started fighting the golden monkeys. They oscillated in strength, sotis plumting, and sotis skyrocketing.

The easiest way to take advantage of this was timing his death blows when they were at their weakest. He could account for the entire battlefield at the sa ti, so doing this was easy for him. However, this wasn't enough to win.

Again, the Monkey King could just keep creating and keep sending them at him, and only when he was sure he could win would he be able to take a step forward to end things himself. All this ti, he wouldn't even have to lift a finger.

The best part for the Monkey King? The reason he had had Sylas kill the others first was in order to absorb their strength into his own and stabilize his Will from the weaknesses of the Split Realm with an external source.

That was to say that when Sylas was forced to kill Thessa like he had instead of sealing her, the Monkey King's Will had shed the weakness he hoped to take advantage of.

And yet, there was still a mistake here, one that Sylas had seen through from the very beginning, and the reason he had chosen to kill Thessa anyway.

Sylas roared and a wave of might spread out from him. His Charisma spilled out, large swaths of Runes spontaneously twisting and shaping themselves around him.

A world with broken rules was hardly a world at all. A world that was hardly a world was easily manipulated.

The Monkey King had essentially created Sylas' own personal playground, and the mont Sylas gained enough control of it… Chi.

Erald lightning sparked and almost spread like a fire, suddenly and imdiately through the skies, leaping from star to star as though it was blazing in an inferno of spontaneity.

The stars lit up in a formation of Sylas' creation and then their gravity warped, Spaceti changing the curves around them until they rolled and shifted to new positions.

The Monkey King had truly pushed him to new limits. That was why he was grinning so much. He hadn't had to think this hard in a very long ti.

But the act of forcing him to think was a problem for the Monkey King.

Sylas in deep contemplated could only ever end a single way.

The stars clicked into place, forming an enormous Life Seal above them all.

In that instant, every mber of the Golden Race froze in place, including the familiar figure of Supre Commander Ros who had appeared far off in the back and was preparing a more organized charge.

Sylas' body stopped in the air, having pulled his scythe all the way back. He held out a hand as though for balance and his gaze flashed.

"Die." He said coldly.

Chi.

BANG. BANG. BANG. BANG.

The entire army was wiped out in a single swing.
