As I opened the packages, I wasn’t really worried.
The people who sent gifts were all people I knew.
If they weren’t people I knew, they wouldn’t even have my ho address.
So, right now, I didn’t expect anything to jump out of a package.

I scread as I fell backward.
At the sa ti, I hit my head on the stack of boxes behind .

I couldn’t speak because of the pain.

I sat there for a mont, waiting for the pain to subside, then struggled to get up.
I went to see what had startled .

It was one of those toys that pops out when you open the lid.

I started rummaging through the package to find out who sent it, but—
“Ah, wait. I removed all the labels.”
I rembered that I had removed all the shipping labels earlier.
Since I didn’t want my address exposed on stream, I had carefully peeled them all off.

I had to do sothing before it got worse.
