Whittaker and Shadow summoned their Class weapons. The Frost spellbook materialized over the head of the snow-haired boy while Shadow gripped the Dark Thruster Dagger in his right hand.

Last ti he wasn't able to see Shadow class weapon clearly as the room was dark, this ti Whittaker saw that the dagger has two attribute lines, a purple one and a dark one.

Purple attribute line defines Space! Dark attribute line Defines darkness!

Whittaker seems to recall the saying of his sister,

"Whittaker, in this world, the rank of lee class weapons is determined by the amount of the attribute lines they have. The more the attribute lines the lesser the rank. Your sister has four attribute lines, so I have a C-rank class weapon, ah you probably won't understand until your awakening ceremony." This was what his sister had said in one of her many letters.

He was born intelligent and definitely understood what she ant at that ti, but now he has seen it with his own eyes!

Shadow Class weapon was the sa rank as his, an A-ranked class weapon!

Whittaker crystal snowy eyes showed more interest than ever in Shadow who utilized his battle skill, Defense Break!

"Effect: Ignore all types of defenses and deal true damage to the enemy."

The Dagger glowed all over with a life-threatening purple glint. Shadow took a cautious stance while his eyes opened wide and his ears flinched.

Having trained in the ways of Assassins since the age of three, over the last 9 years, his senses have surpassed even D-rankers. He could hear the sounds of twelve snow wolves coming towards their location. One crouching extrely near, hiding behind a tree.

But its breathing couldn't escape his extre hearing senses!

The snow wolf jumped out from the tree beside Shadow. The wolf, as soon as it landed on the ground, leaped towards Shadow's exposed neck in one go.

"Roar!" Its jaw wide open threatened to reap Shadow's life in the most grueso way.

He had been getting for a sneak attack like this one, so almost imdiately, he swung the dagger in the direction of the rustling sound.

It was a perfectly executed reply to the sudden attack.

Swish! The sharp edges of the dagger stabbed in the wolf head, blood gushed out imdiately. The wolf stopped in it its track!

Snow wolfs are fearso magical beasts that have very strong defensive furs and they were feared because of their sturdy bones and hard flesh, but this dagger shattered through all three defenses and pierced into its head!

The Snow wolves spat out a pained howl but this was just the beginning of its misery.

Right then, Whittaker called out multiple tis, [Frost Bolt]... [Frost Bolt]... [Frost Bolt]

The Frost Spellbook brightened up with glacial lights multiple tis and spat out three frost bolts, one by one.

The three frost bolts cost him 45 Mana, but his mana regeneration was too strong, 8 points of mana were restored every second. In six seconds, the mana point bar would be refilled.

One by one, the frost bolts crashed on the back of the snow wolf. It was nudged ahead and Shadow dagger shoved deeper into its head. The wolf wriggled around and threw a seizure-like fit as if it was under a great deal of pain. In the sa instant, it died due to the sheer pain. Shadow pulled out his dagger from the head of the snow wolves, it crashed on the ground, lifeless but still twitching.

Blood gushed out of its wound and decorated the ground, scarlet.

Shadow reflexively shook the purple dagger and the blood tainting it scattered on the nearby snow.

So ters behind him, Whittaker stood in a slight daze. A system notification has popped up, [User Killed 1-star snow wolf. Gained 100 XP]

Whittaker's eyes opened wide in surprise, a 100 experience points were so easily obtained. He didn't even do much to kill the snow Wolf! Just three Frost Bolts and that's all. He thought in glee, 'So, hunting magical beast was really the way, the fastest way to grow stronger.'

Shadow shouted, "Good work. Even though it is your first ti, you're still better than many others that I have tead up with."

Shadow has tead up with many fellow students. But most of them ended up disappointing him so much that he had started to hunt solo unless necessary. His Class weapons and personal strength allowed him such freedom.

In response, Whittaker bead a wide smile.

However, the joy of victory was temporary!

He saw two Snow wolves with heavy fur coats rushing towards them.

[Exceptional vision: User sense of sight is ten tis stronger than normal humans. It can be used as a defense versus certain types of illusion and deception] Such was the skill description. Due to these skills, he saw the snow wolves 50 feet away from them, rushing 10 yards (30 feet) per second.

He alerted, "More are incoming!"

Shadow replied with a slight smile, "I have already sensed them!"

The snow wolves bared their big fangs and closed the distance in an instant.

Shadow's expression hardened exponentially.

Thick killing intent, that was all that filled his eyes.

One of the Snow wolves faltered under the stare while the other targeted his face and leaped up.

It shot straight towards him, but he was expecting it and evaded the attack by sidestepping at the last second, leaving the wolf wide-open and defenseless, a purple dagger stabbed into the chest, and almost imdiately, three Frost Bolt smashed into its face!

A red line was drawn on its stomach as the snow wolf drifted back due to the Frost Bolts. It crashed into one of the many trees, cracks imdiately ford in the tree trunks and it shook. After the initial impact, the snow wolf plunged into the snow and so leaves fell over the corpse.

The system notified Whittaker, [User Killed 1-star Snow wolf. Gained 100 XP]

The other wolf, taken over by rage, attacked almost imdiately at the defenseless neck of the black-haired boy whose back was turned towards it.

But Shadow has sensed it moving, and a killer smile ford on his face.

Who was the hunter, and who is the hunted?

That's totally up to bloody glinting purple Dagger to decide!
