Whittaker jumped back covering a wide distance away from the contestant killers. The sand scattered left and right as from within ca out huge creatures that were a mix between human and scorpion, and at the sa ti, the sand dunes on each side of the young boy quaked and then scattered revealing dozens of the Scorpion-kin.
Standing in the middle of them all was Whittaker. He had entered their trap!
It was a common trap that the race of Scorpion-Kin used to hunt down their prey. They would burrow their entire bodies within the sand just like a scorpion and wait for soone to fall into the center of their trap before revealing themselves and killing the prey.
"Wow!" Whittaker was excited to see these creatures in real life. He saw that these creatures have the head and arms of human and tallic pincers of scorpion; however, their heads had many shiny scales like those of scorpion, with two giant and pointy teeth jutting out from their mouths. Their lower bodies were covered with the sa copper scales, and they all had a sharp, thick, and black tails behind them. They were far larger than himself, about three to four ters each.

Rank: Their powerful bodies are Comparable to D-rank battle master. Their sharp pincers can even cut E-rank weapons as easily as beaking a twigs in two. These creatures are natural-born warriors and their combating experience has been honed through decades of hunting.

Noah notified Whittaker who cautiously gazed at them as they moved about to encircle him from all sides.
'These Scorpion-Kins have a really strong sensing ability and Heat resistance. It's impressive how they can easily burrow their bodies in this hot scalding sand. Furthermore, since they are classified to have naturally strong senses by Noah then they must have felt the vibrations made by running on the sand.' Whittaker thought.
It's just as he thought, they were anticipating his arrival for a while with murderous intent. However, these scorpion-kins with ferocious expression and intimidating bodies felt weirded out because there was not even a hint of fear in the eyes of the boy they were about to kill. Rather, he was staring at them with scrutiny and interest.
They certainly didn't like the way he was looking at them. Hence, they all brandished their tails towards him.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Dozens of tails dripping in toxic poison that even lted the grains of sand whisked towards him but before the tail could reach him, Whittaker used Flash's step and disappeared from his position.
The very next instant, he reappeared right behind a Scorpio-Kin with Blood Drinker in his hand. Each of them was still surprised by his sudden disappearance and didn't notice where he had flash stepped to.
Using this opportunity to his advantage, Whittaker surprised attacked the being from the behind.
"Three-Clawed Blood Slash!"
Blood Drinker shone in a scarlet light as he activated Three-Clawed Wolf Slash, and it then shot out three scarlet beams of light right at the neck of Scorpion-Kin.
"Gah!!!!!" Before they could notice what's happening, three scarlet beams of light pierced through the neck of one of their kin.
Poor guy shrieks were cut-low as the Scarlet Claw ripped apart its entire throat.
[ 1 Royal Credits] One of them had instantly died under the hand of his stealthy and powerful combo. Angered, the rest of them pounced at him at the sa ti.
He was alone and did not have any companions while there were dozens of them.
'I will be exhausted of my mana and battle energy if I keep on fighting them like this.' He thought.
The mana in the air is scarce and it was a foolish choice to fight them with spell and battle skills. Hence, he decided to finally use a talisman combo to end this fight in an instant.
"Fla Serpent Talismans! Wind Blast Talisman! Wind Wave Talismans! Elental Boosting Talismans!" As he watched the Scorpion-Kin pouncing at him, Whittaker thought. With a single thought, multi-colored light flashed in his hand as dozens of talisman with distinct magical rune designs appeared in his hand.
"Wind Blasts!" He activated multiple Wind Blast talismans in his hand and tossed them out at the Scorpion-Kin pouncing towards him.
"Swish" With a booming sound, the talismans went ahead and exploded in the air creating giant gushes of wind that blasted all of them away.
Just like a rag doll hurled away, they crashed on the sandy ground. Painful groans resounded as they tried to stand up. However, this was just the start of their plight.
"Fla Serpent Talismans!" Imdiately after, two red talisman flew out from his hand, and great serpents made out of fla dawned on the group of Scorpion-Kin.
"Now, it's ti for the combo! Wind Wave talisman, Wind Blast talisman, Elental Boosting talisman!" With another toss, various talismans rushed out of his hand and activated in midair.
The Wind Wave and Wind Blast talisman activated in the air to create giants waves and gales of wind. Whereas, the Elental Boosting Talisman released a mystical energy that boosted the elental effect of all elental types attack in the surrounding by 50%.
"Roar!" The Serpents from before made contact with the gales and waves of wind and triples in size. It beca even more powerful when the Elental Boosting talisman was activated. The Fla serpents seed as ferocious as Red Dragons as they rushed in the directions of the Scorpion-kin.
"Talisman Combination AttackSupre Serpent Scorching Blast!!!"
Pushed by the Wind, the great fla Serpents Whittaker had created through using multiple talisman rushed forward and to the surrounding. The great fire serpents engulfed everything in their path, and at the sa ti, swallowed the entire group of Scorpion-Kin.
"Chi...chi!" Their natural resistance against fire was not helpful in the face of this devasting attack and the cracking sounds of at being roasted filled the air.
"Gulp!" Whittaker gulped excitedly and scaredly as he stared at the devastation he had caused to take down the group of contestant killers.
