"This is ’Extre Cold’."
In the insect nest of the Earth’s Pacific Ocean trench, Li Ang watched the images playing on the living screen and slightly raised an eyebrow.
The scene of the Sea Snake Dragon and what looked like a Hollywood B-grade monster movie on the screen were all handiworks of the insect nest.
The insect nest first dispatched stealth scout bugs to monitor the Atoka sailboat for a period of ti,
and then used so special soldier bugs to remotely invade the minds of every sailor on the ship, gradually increasing the intensity.
After confirming that the Atoka had no more secrets, they followed the captain’s plan, released the sea beast, swept all the sailors away, and used the beast’s abdominal cavity as a temporary base to study the sailors and the ship.
This world indeed has intelligent civilizations whose main race looks very similar to humans, with almost no apparent differences.
The only difference is a tubular organ next to their lungs in their chest cavity, used to filter toxic chlorine from the air.
Apart from humans, this planet also has Half-beasts (possessing both animal and human traits, with varying degrees of mutation and civilization levels, ranging from empires to Raw at Blood),
Halflings (who are half the height of normal humans and live a nomadic lifestyle similar to Gypsies on Earth),
Subterranean people (with pale skin, weak vision, always wanting to reconquer the surface),
rfolk (with fish tails, living in the sea),
these intelligent humanoid creatures are widely distributed across the planet’s continents, forming their own civilizations and nations.
It is unknown whether it’s a universal rule for intelligent beings or species similar to humans are especially combative,
the known history of this planet is also a history of wars between civilizations,
stretching back over four thousand years since the earliest recorded history, low-intensity, high-frequency wars have never ceased.
The Age of Navigation that began two hundred years ago opened intercontinental communication and, like on Earth, gave rise to colonization activities, colonial wars, and slave trade.
"Overall, this planet has six continents, over four thousand years of civilized history, and a population of about a billion people,
with an overall technological level approaching the mid-steam age, having developed steam-powered engines, invented factory production, assembly lines, fertilizers, textile machines, and steam trains and ships."
Li Ang looked at the mind-reading results compiled by the Brain Worm on the screen and thought to himself, "Moreover, according to the mories of Johnson Good and others, this world has transcendent forces.
Ordinary people can sense the Qi within their bodies through diligent training or bloodline inheritance,
and at high levels, they can tear steel and kill Magical Beasts with their bare hands.
In Johnson Good’s Wester Duchy, there are specialized academies that teach how to use this Qi,
and noble families also have inherited Secret Manuals and training thods.
Besides Fighting Energy, there are also Mages and Chosen Ones (similar to Druids) who reside in seclusion in the forests."
Li Ang paused and said, "All the major kingdoms nominally believe in a polytheistic Divine System composed of fourteen Deities.
This system includes the Earth Goddess, Storm Goddess, God of War, Dragon God, and others.
Half of the fourteen Deities have lost their followers and temples,
while among the remaining deities, the most revered is the Goddess of Life, whose Temples and Clergy are spread across every corner of the world.
The Goddess has never explicitly bestowed divine grace throughout history, but her Priests can perform Divine Arts that heal injuries.
Overall, it’s a worldview similar to a modern fantasy setting, with elents of steampunk, knights wielding Fighting Energy, and magical Divine Arts.
Weak Transcendents are only slightly stronger than ordinary people, able to handle a few ard thugs,
while powerful Transcendents can demolish buildings with a single blow."
After reading Johnson Good’s mory, from the expressiveness reflected in the mories, the pinnacle of human transcendent power in this world is roughly equivalent to an ordinary LV20 player,
though the deities have nurous followers and stories, they have never truly appeared.
For large organizations in the real world wanting to invade such a planet, it indeed presents so difficulties,
as the kingdoms on this planet have been through endless wars, their mories and concepts of war are not outdated, and the populace has long been imrsed in a culture of transcendent power, with the military well-integrated with transcendent power systems.
Johnson Good’s Wester Kingdom, one of the world’s moderately powerful countries, maintains a standing army of 200,000 regular troops and a navy comprising 400 warships, even without indulging in aggressive militarism.
Among the navy, there are steam-powered sailing ships and ironclads,
as well as floating ships powered by the magic of Mages—mages trained at the Imperial Academy serve in the military for several years to repay their high school loans, whereas those of noble birth have no such concerns.
When a certain number of ships gather to form a fleet, its combat power becos considerable.
For the superhuman organizations on Earth,
invading such a planet requires long-term and careful planning—they cannot underestimate it just because its technological path diverges, or they risk getting bogged down in prolonged wars.
However, Li Ang and the insect nest have no such concerns.
To be precise, the intelligence provided by Johnson Good gave the insect nest more confidence in expansion—
The insect nest’s expansion had been slow due to the harsh natural environnt in the doldrums making wild animals too formidable,
and being cautious of possible intelligent civilizations on the planet, fearing detection if the insect nest showed itself.
But now, having a general understanding of this planet’s intelligent civilizations’ technological level and overall strength,
the insect nest no longer needs to deliberately conceal itself.
"Brainwash Johnson Good and the others, transform them into spies for the insect nest, then send them and the sailboat back to the land.
Similarly to the real world, deploy Gene Thieves for covert expansion."
Li Ang made a decision and casually instructed the Brain Worms on either side listening attentively, "Brainwash, parasitize, paralyze, corrupt, win over, and control.
You are permitted to use any ans, infiltrating the middle and upper layers of each kingdom in the shortest ti,
collect key intelligence, gather biological samples, and subtly control the situation.
The most important thing is to find out one thing.
Is there truly a deity on this planet?
If there’s no true Deity, then go forward with no reservations."
"Following your will."
The Brain Worms inside and outside the Star Gate bowed in unison,
Li Ang nodded, turned around, and walked out of the insect nest, leaving the scene to the Brain Worms.
