For a ti, the Plague Doctor was locked in a struggle with the decaying humanoid in Room 0608.

The decaying humanoid's attacks were extrely bizarre. With a wave of its hand, it could Cut Space, grabbing objects from afar and bringing them close. Its palms were covered with a corrosive black liquid; once touched, equipnt and items would corrode and deteriorate. Skin and muscle drenched by the black liquid would also rot and break down, and had to be excised entirely with a scalpel to stop the corrosion. Moreover, such injuries couldn't be healed by common treatnt thods; dical skills applied to the wounds were extrely slow to take effect.

The Plague Doctor barely held on with the skills and equipnt he possessed. Each breath he took would be detected by the decaying humanoid, which would then attack and interrupt him. The creature seed to have a particular fondness for targeting the Plague Doctor's limbs, especially his wrists and ankles. As ti went by, the decaying humanoid's reaction speed grew ever faster, leaving the Plague Doctor with less and less ti to breathe.

The decaying humanoid could pass through solid matter and move through connected building structures—for instance, from outside a door to inside, from one side of a wall to the other, or from the ground to the ceiling. With each passage, it would leave black liquid on the solid dium, and its speed would surge when it traveled over this residue.

The Plague Doctor's room for evasion shrank. The tendons in his hands and feet were destroyed, making his movents clumsy and difficult. anwhile, the creature, its black-bean-sized eyes lifelessly staring straight ahead, chewed on flesh torn from the Plague Doctor. Its mouth was so damaged that air audibly leaked through it as it awaited the Plague Doctor's next breath.

Just when the Plague Doctor felt he had reached a dead end and was about to self-destruct, the door to Room 0608 opened. Bai Haozheng and 13MARK entered from the corridor. They had seen the note the Plague Doctor left outside and understood enough of the situation, so they ca in to help.

The three players took turns breathing. If one was trapped, the other two would step forward to assist and try to minimize the damage. With the help of his two teammates, the Plague Doctor finally had a mont to devise a strategy.

He and Ω were both mbers of the notorious Demon Scientist Alliance. Ω specialized in distilling souls into liquid to extract dreadful energy, while the Plague Doctor was adept at ergency treatnt, toxin attacks, and Body Modification.

The Plague Doctor took out an item called the "Unlicensed Surgical Knife" and made an incision on his own chest. The "Unlicensed Surgical Knife" had a Special Effect: it could store the records of twenty surgeries. The user could perform surgeries on themselves or others in advance and save the effects. To use it, one only needed to make an incision on the recipient with the knife and maintain it for a period; the stored surgical effect would then be directly released. It could be used for battlefield first aid, suturing wounds, or Body Modification. It could also be used to cut tracheas, perform craniotomies, or extract hearts. In short, it was versatile, equally useful for offense and defense.

The Plague Doctor perford a Body Modification surgery on himself, urgently adjusting his respiratory system. He caused his stratum corneum, hair follicles, sebaceous glands, and sweat duct openings to enlarge and expand, allowing him to absorb nutrients from the air and achieve cutaneous respiration, thereby reducing his reliance on lung breathing. Afterward, the Plague Doctor perford the sa procedure on Bai Haozheng and 13MARK, enabling all three of them to breathe through their skin.

This strategy proved effective; the decaying humanoid's reaction and attack speed dropped significantly. However, before the Plague Doctor and the others could rejoice for long, the decaying humanoid cracked a smile. It suddenly pressed close to the Plague Doctor and, with a bag in its hand, attempted to cover his head.

The Plague Doctor instantly lost control of his body. In a daze, he saw within the bag a severely dilapidated building resembling an underground parking garage. The lights there were dim. Concrete was flaking off the walls and ceiling, revealing rusted rebar. In the darkness, he could vaguely make out a pile resembling human corpses. These bodies seed to wear uniforms, but due to the poor lighting and the dried blood marring their surfaces, it was impossible to discern the style of their clothing.

The Plague Doctor felt as if he had been inside the bag for a re second, yet also for a hundred years, until a loud noise shattered his trance.

Bai Haozheng, who was beside him, had rescued the Plague Doctor from the decaying humanoid's clutches. Risking black liquid splashing onto his palm, he plucked the Plague Doctor from the bag. With a backward swing, Bai Haozheng flung the Plague Doctor out of the door and directly into the open elevator car (they had jamd the elevator door with a heavy object when they arrived).

13MARK joined the Plague Doctor in the elevator, pressed the ascend button, and they returned to the eighth floor. Afterward, the elevator descended, then carried Bai Haozheng up to the eighth floor, where the three reunited.

This concluded the Plague Doctor's personal experience. The other individuals who had received notes were Li Ang, the Mule, Wanli Fengdao, and 13MARK.

「Li Ang」

The note he received instructed him to 'Go Take a Shower.'

He received the note around 00:20 and subsequently entered the washroom. Following the note's instructions, he turned on the showerhead and began to wash himself.

During this process, the washroom's light bulb flickered, then suddenly burst and went out. Chilling laughter echoed from the darkness. Li Ang faintly sensed an otherworldly entity lurking in the washroom; with the advent of darkness, it began to draw nearer to him.

Composed, he used the Origin of Life to evolve firefly photocytes, which congregated all over his body. They shone like Ultraman's flashing lights, illuminating the washroom as bright as day and dispelling the darkness. Then, he used Alchemy to create a new light bulb and installed it, restoring light to the washroom. He even found ti to pick up the shattered glass from the floor. He wrapped it carefully in several layers of tissue paper, secured it firmly with duct tape, and labeled it "Glass Shards Inside" before disposing of it in the trash can. This considerate act was intended to prevent the cleaning staff from cutting their fingers on the glass pieces.

Unfortunately, such civilized behavior did not elicit any admiration from the otherworldly entity lurking in the darkness.

While Li Ang continued his shower, the clean water from the showerhead suddenly turned into foul, stinking bloody water, filling the entire washroom with an eerie, rank odor.

Unfazed, Li Ang grabbed so dirt and used Alchemy to craft a water purifier with multiple filter layers: PP cotton, granular activated carbon, compressed activated carbon, a reverse osmosis mbrane, an ultrafiltration mbrane, and a post-activated carbon layer. This enhanced its filtering ability to the extre, allowing it to easily remove particulates, heavy tals, bacteria, viruses, residual chlorine, sedint, rust, and microbes.

Afterward, he installed this unique, self-created water purifier on the showerhead. The water flow reduced significantly, but correspondingly, the bloody water spraying from the showerhead was filtered into clear, clean water. Li Ang even provocatively crafted a coffee cup and, using the hot water, made himself a cup of coffee, leisurely sipping it. He did this to demonstrate the power of the water purifier.

This ti, the otherworldly entity lurking in the washroom remained silent for a full twenty minutes, making no move and just silently watching as Li Ang finished two cups of coffee.
