This is actually a good thing, he thought. Knowing the locations of two groups of players ans that when the Mobile Detachnt cos after us, we'll have options for escape.
At this mont, the System's notification announcing player Si Wenbin's death at the hands of the Resentful Demon chid. Liu Wu Dai, who had been driving silently, narrowed her eyes and pursed her lips slightly.

Liu Wu Dai's expression was impassive, as though she hadn't understood the subtleties of Li Ang's statent at all.
When players from two different teams encounter each other, a Ball Technique with a one-thousand-ter radius activates. Within this Technique, players on the Moon God Crown mission cannot interfere with anything in the Grey-white World. Conversely, the Mobile Detachnt within the Grey-white World loses track of player targets. In other words, by actively maintaining contact with players from other teams, one can continuously remain within the Grey-white World, thus avoiding capture by the Mobile Detachnt.
Given this, why would any player proactively kill an enemy from another team? Li Ang wondered. Why relinquish their greatest defense against the Mobile Detachnt? The logical approach would be to incapacitate hostile players—break their limbs, disable their ability to resist—and then use the Ball Technique to render one's own team effectively invincible to the Mobile Detachnt.
Liu Wu Dai exhaled slowly. "There are three possibilities," she said.
"First, the Resentful Demon and Si Wenbin belong to two player teams we haven't encountered yet. They might know soone took the Lunar Phase Locator but be unaware that the Mobile Detachnt is involved. This is plausible. Gulu Lugu has the Lunar Phase Locator, yet the Mobile Detachnt hasn't found us directly. This suggests Gulu Lugu hasn't tipped off the Special Affairs Bureau, possibly because it's still being pursued by the Mobile Detachnt and lacks the opportunity."
"Second, Si Wenbin's teammate managed to escape the so-called Resentful Demon's pursuit at the last mont and successfully fled."
"Third, the deceased Si Wenbin had another teammate, and this teammate has also been subdued by the Resentful Demon and is now under its control."

Li Ang had no intention of revealing his identity as "Li Rising" to try and get closer to her. He simply said, "Nothing much. I was just wondering if you have access to any serious hardware—things like grenade launchers, cannons, howitzers, mortars, anti-aircraft guns, armored vehicles, EMPs, or thermobaric bombs?"

Liu Wu Dai's expression shifted slightly, and she looked at Li Ang with an odd glint in her eyes.
"Don't look at
like that; I'm thinking about our safety here," Li Ang said with a grin. "Longqing Sea Transportation is in the mariti trade business, after all. It wouldn't be too hard to go to chaotic regions like those in Black Africa, purchase heavy military equipnt, and disassemble it. Players could then transport the parts back to Yin City in their inventory slots and reassemble the weaponry for use. Even if you're concerned about System penalties for carrying heavy weapons, you could stash them in hidden locations around Yin City as a contingency. And now that we have the Ball Technique, friendly fire isn't an issue. It's the perfect ti to bring out those trump cards...."
