“You an to say that we can communicate easily with all Ascended races and we are protected as long as we don’t provoke them?” Anna was shocked to learn that, much like Judy she very much saw the potential as a rchant.

“I wouldn’t put that much trust in that protection.” Aurexion corrected. “Sure right now almost all Ascended races see it as a very poor decision to risk anything but if there was sothing of real value here so of the stronger individuals would be willing to move.”

“Like sothing we could pull out of the dungeon.” Anna nodded. “Especially now that a few more of us can actually take things with us.”

“There are more of you capable of beating a floor boss twice your level?” Aurexion was interested since even for Ascended that was an unusual level of power.

“No there aren’t.” Ajax answered. “But there is a slightly weaker version of the Achievent that is given to every mber of a group that kills a floor boss so long as the floor boss is twice the level of the highest among the group.”

“Floor bosses can still handle groups of people much better than most others. Sure it’s not as impressive for a group of twenty to kill it but it shows that humans are a little underestimated.” Aurexion tried to give credit.

“That slightly weaker Achievent can be tricked.” Ajax said with a smirk.

“Oh, how so?” Aurexion, like all Ascended, was very interested in any System exploits.

“Easy, so long as everyone taking part is lower level than I am and can survive in the proximity of the floor boss they all get the Achievent if they contribute a little to my opening attack and then I kill it by myself.” Ajax bragged. “Though I have to say I am not confident if facing a level one hundred and thirty floor boss and that is the next one based on my current level.”

“Stay still.” Luna chastised Ajax for the slight movent as she and the royal healers were working on regrowing his arm. Despite the grueling work, headaches as well as fatigue from running through their Mana so fast both royal healers were very happy for the project as it gave their Skills a new way to push forward, sothing that was giving them good experience as well as Skill levels. “This is hard enough as it is with how tough your body is naturally and we have to match that, struggling will lead us to mistakes, and you don’t want that. When removing a scar I saw soone's skin be made too tight. They tore it open when they flexed.”

“I wouldn’t be too worried about getting anything too valuable. The dungeon hardly generates anything of real value to Ascended beings before the level one hundred jump.” Aurexion returned to the original conversation. “And if you start pulling out truly valuable things above level one hundred you’ll have a much bigger issue of destroying your dungeon despite the number of people you have feeding it Mana.”

That was clearly not the right thing to say as it drew attention from everyone including the healers working on Ajax. Seeing his caretakers distracted like that, Ajax used [Mana Syphon] to stop their work until they refocused.

“What do you an destroy the dungeon?” The king asked.

“How are we feeding it Mana?” The crown prince asked.

“Can you intentionally destroy a dungeon?” the spymaster asked.

“Of course dungeons can be destroyed.” Aurexion answered the questions one after another. “Dungeons draw in Mana from the surroundings, beings with full Mana naturally release a little extra Mana in their surroundings and dungeons draw this in, why do you think the ambient Mana in your lands is so anemic. You have dozens of dungeons drawing it in. As for destroying a dungeon, even yours that are more vulnerable would take soone much stronger than you.”

“I still haven’t found out how to make a dungeon.” Ajax complained to his bond.

“Too much work and too high a cost.” Aurexions waved Ajax’s concern aside. “You’d be better off spending your resources to travel to other dungeons and delving them.”

“We’re not glossing over this.” The king said, despite his age he was powerful, close to the level of a champion, if not quite there, but his social Skills more than made up for the difference in his presence. “How do you destroy a dungeon?”

“Dungeons are run on Mana.” Aurexion didn’t even seem to notice the change at the pressure the king’s Aura was putting out. “They also drain the Mana in their surroundings and everything that happens inside of them. They use that Mana to create their floors. Send in a physical fighter and have them clearing out high level floors while collecting as much of everything on the floor to move on to the next and eventually the dungeon won’t be able to keep up with the cost from its reserves.”

Aurexion’s words did a lot to calm the worries of all those present since there wasn’t anyone strong enough to do that to their dungeons. “Why are our dungeons more vulnerable?” Lexi asked.

“Because they are too close to each other.” Aurexion answered. “This ans that once their reserves reach a certain point they start to draw on each other. This ans they burn through their reserves faster. This also makes dungeons more likely to have things you can take out of them spawn on their floors more often.”

That was sothing Ajax had in fact observed yet it wasn’t a connection he made. The dungeons in the Wild Lands had a lot less he could remove from their floors compared to Gryndor’s dungeons and now he knew why.

“I think this is a good stopping point for now.” Luna said as Ajax’s arm was regrown all the way to the wrist.

“Really?” Ajax complained. “But you’re so close to being done, all that is left is the hand.”

“Just the hand, he says.” Luna was a little on edge after hours of intense focus. “Do you know how complex the hand is? The number of nerves is imnse and trust

you don’t want us ssing those up.”

Ajax knew enough to look chastised, he had learnt enough biology back on Earth that he knew the hand was the most complex part of the arm. “Can I start using this arm now, even with the hand missing I start getting used to it.”

“No, not until we are done.” Luna denied it as she put his arm in a sling. “As you can see we sealed off the end of your arm or you would bleed out, that is not ant to be there but it took a lot of effort for us to put it in place without damaging anything else.”

“You should co to my manor.” Anna quickly turned towards Lexi as they all stood to leave the royal palace. It was still mid afternoon and none of them wanted to go to the royal court. “It’s been so long since you were in the capital.”

“I’d rather get back to the information on Fire Mana you had back there.” Aurexion said as he turned towards Duke Manashaper. “I feel like I am on the brink of a realization.”

“Aaaahhh…” Ajax drew out the sound. “Aurexion, Anna’s family is arguably the richest in the kingdom, with only the royal family having more. Not to ntion Anna here has a Legendary Fire boosting Skill.”

“Well you should have led with that, which way are we going?” Aurexion’s attitude did a one eighty.

“Before you leave we do have to discuss the small incident that happened today in the streets.” The crown prince looked pained to bring up the subject.

“What incident?” Ajax asked, confused.

“Your bond attacked the son of a Viscount.” Xavier reminded Ajax. “One who is decently talented and most likely in line to be the next Viscount.”

“He insulted dragons, in the presence of a dragon.” Ajax pointed out. “I’d say he got lucky by just being knocked into a wall.”

“First of all he went through the wall.” The crown prince let out a long sigh. “Secondly that is not how insults should be handled.”

“Little runt should be happy that's all I did.” Aurexion grumbled.

“Aurexion, I am sorry to say but that was the wrong way to handle things.” Lexi said, but the smile on her face had the king and the crown prince trade worried glances. “You should have had Ajax challenge him to an honor duel on your behalf, since he is older and higher level than Ajax he would have had to accept the challenge himself or paid for the insult .”

“The duel wouldn’t hold up.” The eldest prince said, though from the sound of his voice he wasn’t pleased by the status quo. “Insulting a bond verbally isn’t considered standing since, until now they couldn’t clearly understand speech.”

“I know that.” Lexi’s smile didn’t move an inch. “When they try to bring that up we’ll be sure to remind them of it when they want to ask Aurexion any questions about any knowledge he might have.”

“On second thought, while I would like to ask for restraint in the future, this outco doesn’t seem so bad.” The crown prince quickly tried to change the direction of the discussion. “I’ll make sure there should be no further insults.”
