The man snarled and swung wildly. Geralt caught his wrist mid-air, twisting it sharply before sweeping the thug's legs from under him. The man crashed onto the pavent with a grunt. Before he could get up, Geralt placed his boot on his chest, pinning him effortlessly.
"You're done," Geralt muttered. The three n lay groaning on the cold pavent, barely able to move.
"I knew you were bored." Ciri said, jealously as she could tell that his father was just blowing off steam. He would have never done that if it was in his world.
"EDITH, call the cops and also deliver the footage. Make sure that they get proper dical treatnt, as I don't want any case on trial." Liam said.
"On it, Sir." EDITH replied from his watch. Geralt was smiling a bit after teaching them a lesson, not knowing that he had been fild from one of the windows on the hos in the neighborhood.
The face of Geralt would soon be all over social dia and a massive debate would start saying Geralt was a great a hero for stepping in. It would mostly be won who found him very attractive. While so keyboard warriors said that this fight was a skit for sure because no n could move or deliver punches so fast.
It was not possible and it could possibly be a skit or a movie scene. But the main point was, Geralt would be famous in the next few days. Liam didn't have any idea of it, nor did he care even if Geralt ended up on social dia. They called the driver around and soon left for their next destination.
A pub. Geralt and Vesemir had asked Liam to take them at a bar while the won wanted to roam around the city. Both of them ca to a settlent at the end. They would use their cars to see the city, the night life essentially and at the end, they would land at a bar.
Liam was okay with that. Though he would hate the traffic but at the end, Happy was happy to drive around the city.
The ride through the city was a mix of quiet admiration and occasional comntary from Vesemir and Geralt, who took in the glowing lights, towering buildings, and the general energy of New York at night. Unlike the congested chaos of the day, the streets now had a different kind of life—bars bustling with patrons, neon signs flickering, and the occasional street perforr entertaining small crowds.
"You call this a city? Looks more like a battlefield of lights and noise." Vesemir scoffed.
"Better than Oxenfurt." Geralt smirked.
"Trust , you haven't even seen the real night life yet." Liam assured.
After nearly an hour of cruising through the city, they finally arrived at Josie's Bar. It was a random bar that Liam chose to stop, not thinking too much as he was never a drinker and didn't have a general idea. Nothing in this city could hurt him anyways. But he did realize that they had ended up in Hell's Kitchen.
As they stepped inside, the sll of aged wood, alcohol, and faint cigarette smoke filled the air. The place was dimly lit, with a few neon beer signs casting a soft glow. There were no loud speakers or blasting music, just the low hum of conversations, the occasional burst of laughter, and the clinking of glasses.
"Now this," he muttered, "feels like a proper drinking hole." Vesemir loved the vibe here, and one could see it in his smile.
Geralt had to agree. It wasn't anything fancy, but it had a familiar atmosphere. Sothing about it reminded him of the rough inns he was used to.
They found a booth near the back, away from the main crowd but close enough to observe. Liam waved down the bartender and ordered drinks for everyone—whiskey for Vesemir and Geralt, a beer for himself. The others took their seats, relaxing after the long day.
Not long after, a man with red-tinted glasses and a casual but well-kept deanor walked in, accompanied by a blonde woman and a scruffy-looking man in a suit that had clearly seen better days.
Liam imdiately recognized them—Matt Murdock, Karen Page, and Foggy Nelson. It was then Liam realized why he was finding this place a bit familiar. This was the famous bar, the trio would often co to.
What the hell was this coincidence. But then again, Hell's Kitchen hadn't been the sa since Liam had uprooted major cris from this place. The Hand, the Russians and even the Kingpin. There was a rumor around that the Wraithborn watches over Hell's Kitchen and thus this place hadn't been the sa since.
Though EDITH did ntion once that a man in hooded mask had shown up once or twice in so public cara feeds taking over criminals, thus keeping the place cleaner. Seeing Matt here was a surprise for Liam.
Matt, despite being blind, seed to sense sothing as he walked in. His head tilted slightly in Geralt's direction before he turned to Karen and Foggy. Matt, of course recognized Liam, along with Foggy, but they didn't know if he rembered them as Liam wasn't famous back then when they t at the garage.
Liam could see the hesitation in Foggy's eyes and thus promptly raised his hand calling him to co. Chairs were soon drawn in with the group as they sat together. Liam also called Geralt and Vesemir from the near reception table to co and join as they had new acquaintances here.
Everyone was introduced and Matt being the blind charr that he was able to charm the hearts of Keira and Triss. Karen felt a bit jealous of how Matt was able to charm anyone. And even Liam was surprised how much of a rizzler this Matt was, even though these two won were mages in essential.
While Matt was being the magnet, he was actually a bit confused and could be even called as scared. He could hear the heart beats of everyone present here, well everyone except for one.
