Suddenly, they sensed a dangerous aura rising above them, as thunderous magic echoed throughout the arena.
An unleashed power made their skin crawl.
’A Master-Rank Soul Mage,’ Elliot thought, turning abruptly.
Then he saw a huge, strange cloud that had ford across the arena, and lightning began to strike.
"World of Falling Lightning." As these words left the Soul Mage’s mouth, lightning began to strike his enemies.
Elliot and the others were forced to jump aside, but Rich, Andy, Philip, and Andrew didn’t have ti to do so. All four were struck fiercely by the lightning bolts.
With quick and effective movents, the Control Mage not only trapped them with vines but also literally knocked three of them to the ground, forcing them to endure successive magical attacks.
At the sa ti, the swordsman fighting Jenna knew it was ti to leave. He imdiately judged that he couldn’t beat that woman.
They were more or less equal in strength, but she was an absurdly exceptional swordswoman, so he couldn’t beat her no matter what he did.
Therefore, he took the opportunity to escape with the help of his companion, who focused his attacks on her, forcing Jenna to defend herself and retreat.
As the team was in chaos, they didn’t notice that the magical swordsman had approached Rich and Andy, who were standing very close together, amid flashes of lightning. He didn’t co alone; the other swordsman, who was wounded in the chest, arrived alongside him, and between the two of them, they fiercely attacked Rich and Andy’s defenseless bodies, managing to wound them severely and slam them against the walls, sending them straight into unconsciousness.
"Richard, the other swordsman!" one of them shouted, but then they realized that the one whose na was Richard...
Was out of the fight.
’How?’ they thought.
It was just then that they saw Elliot.
He had quickly slipped between them, completely removing the assassin from the fight, and finally approached the Control Mage, taking advantage of the fact that the two tanks were fighting fiercely against Andrew.
"So fast?" The two tried to run there, but they were too far away.
In the end, they could only watch helplessly.
But the Soul Mage was already aware of this, which was one of the reasons Elliot didn’t approach him: if he did, he would be out of the fight before he even got close.
And the Control Mage was completely off guard, so he couldn’t defend himself.
Running at full speed, Elliot soon caught up with him.
But just then, the Soul Mage spread both arms wide and slamd them shut. "Suppress!" he roared.
Then, the clouds above the entire arena suddenly shrank to a small cloud, approximately a square ter in size, directly above Elliot. At the sa ti, this cloud seed to roar, and a bolt of lightning as wide as the cloud shot down toward the ground.
*VROOOOM*
It was so fast that it would reach Elliot before it hit the Control Mage.
With that, the Soul Mage smiled triumphantly. "Die, you worthless misfit." The ferocity on his face, unbecoming of an 18-year-old, beca apparent.
And soon he struck.
It was such a powerful blow that it shook the combat arena. That had been a Master Rank strike in all its glory. He was using more than his full capacity by suppressing the size of the magic and increasing its strength, so it was an attack that made Steward jump up abruptly from where he stood.
Nurous other people were surprised, and murmurs imdiately began to spread throughout the place.
When everyone seed to be in shock, a shadow erged from the impact site and rushed forward with force to strike the Control Mage. He was hit squarely from behind, causing his mind to imdiately disconnect from his body and fly through the air until he hit one of the walls, knocking him out of the fight.
"What?2 The Soul Mage imdiately sensed that sothing was wrong.
’Impossible. The attack obviously hit him. How can he be unhard? What the hell did my lightning strike then?’ He felt his body tremble, for this made no sense.
Even so, he acted quickly. "Damn it, if you dodged one, you won’t dodge another attack!" He roared, but this ti he withdrew his magical ability and focused on launching lightning attacks from his position in all directions.
Elliot quickly thought of running towards him, taking advantage of the advantage he had right now.
’That single attack killed my Rat completely, and if I hadn’t gained agility in ti, it might have hit too and injured . Such a vicious attack...’ He wanted revenge.
But then his body stopped when he felt two strange abilities take hold of his mind.
’Tanks?’ He turned around, still feeling his legs tremble from a strange earthquake.
Then he saw that the two tanks had knocked out Andrew. And it made sense. Even though he was strong and could perhaps match both of them, it was difficult to win against two.
"Shit." He quickly looked across and saw that Chris and Philip were also out of action.
The only ones left were Jenna and he.
Jenna ran fiercely toward the two swordsn standing in her way to help Elliot, and when the Master thought she was going to face him, she made a bold and fierce move over him, managing to pass him and fall before the swordsman who was already wounded.
Then her black sword appeared in her free hand, and she attacked in both directions at the two swordsn.
His magic sword struck the stronger one, while his other sword traced a horizontal attack at the other’s stomach. It was so powerful that the swordsman flew through the air, knocked completely out, and required urgent dical attention.
anwhile, his other sword plunged into the side of the more powerful magic swordsman, very close to his liver.
’Dark magic?’ the man roared inwardly and imdiately turned around, finally activating his magic ability, realizing that this woman was far more dangerous than he had imagined.
