The assembled royal guard ca from the capital and from those stationed here in the kingdom. It is assud that they had co with other intentions, given the number of betrayals and other events that were discovered in this place and were being made public.
They did not co with the intention of killing a figure like this, but...
They knew about Prince Christian's mission.
To exterminate the Clarks.
Perhaps because of their many betrayals, because of their mysterious blood that could give birth to powerful figures every generation, or for other reasons, but the royal family had entrusted the prince with the least support in the kingdom with a mission, so that he could even realistically compete for the kingdom.
It was an important mission, not only for the royal family, but also for the one who could be the future king.
That is why the royal guards, although initially hesitant, once they understood all this, could only think of one thing: if we help him get rid of his enemies, when he becos king, we could reach the top.
Therefore, the spears and swords of these n clanged on the ground at that mont.
"At your command, Prince!" they shouted.
Then they closed in on Elliot with perfect movents, seeking to be the first to strike.
Elliot suddenly found himself facing nurous weapons seeking to kill him. All mbers of the Royal Guard, the symbol of the empire. Powerful Awakened ones with high-level weapons aid at his neck, his heart...
He was surrounded... but not desperate.
He was filled with an inner rage, and the hatred of seeing his girlfriend die in front of him overwheld him. "DAMN YOU, I'LL KILL YOU ALL!" he roared.
He flaunted his skill, flaunted his strength, and flaunted his abilities, moving among them with his summons and killing several of them.
But there were too many of them.
He didn't have eyes in the back of his head, so his back was soon pierced and his mind filled with despair. His body trembled, he turned around and struck the soldier behind him, but due to his dizzy mind he couldn't hit him accurately.
He didn't kill him, he just pushed him away.
And this served him another stab in the side.
"ELLIOT!" Andrew, after recovering a little, jumped towards the soldiers and swung his hamr desperately at them when he saw his friend being stabbed over and over again.
He wasn't going to allow it!
But...
If Elliot, who for unknown reasons had his power increased, couldn't do it, neither could he.
His hamr was blocked. The attack, which had been canceled by Rich many tis before, now barely had the power of a low-level master. It was no match for dozens of trained royal guards.
Not only was his weapon blocked, but his body was also t with the spears of several soldiers. Although he dodged a fatal blow, blood still reached his mouth and he vomited.
'Shit.' He desperately watched what appeared to be the end of one of the brightest stars the future could have.
The sa thing happened to people in the dark.
Many watched this death indifferently.
It was the norm. It was what was going to happen.
A summoner couldn't live freely out there, let alone one as talented as this one. He had to die or beco a slave.
Everyone understood that. Even Elliot himself.
But should he really accept it?
No, it's not that he should accept it.
There were simply no alternatives.
Soon, one of the soldiers moved his hand to finally destroy his heart. It was ti to die.
And since he was going to deliver the final blow, wouldn't he get the best part? He could obtain a good amount of attribute energy...
He smiled coldly and accelerated his attack.
But his smile faded, along with his existence, when his body was split in half by an oppressive force.
Suddenly, all the soldiers were struck at the sa ti, their bodies hitting the walls of nearby buildings, so of which were in ruins.
Elliot then fell to the ground, but soone ca to his aid.
"Geniuses are often destined to die horrible deaths, little one. But you'll be fine." It was a soft, slightly cold voice, but strangely loving.
Elliot felt exhausted. That strange state had passed, and he didn't even have the strength to keep his invocations out. Still, he opened his eyes with difficulty.
"Master Anna..." he whispered.
Anna smiled at him. "Don't worry, everything will be fine." She patted him on the back when she saw that a feeling of sadness had hit him.
The royal guards couldn't get up right away, and Chris tensed up the mont he saw this woman.
But just then, soone appeared in front of him to protect him. He wasn't surprised when he saw the ss, but he did frown when he saw her.
"Anna Hathaway," he said. "What the hell are you doing in our territory?" He clenched his hands and summoned the strength from his feet to crack the ground as he tried to attack Elliot.
Anna moved her hand forward and stopped the attack from a distance, simply smiling.
"Since you ca to save your prince, old minister, why shouldn't I co to save mine? I believe that, as Pri Minister of the Runic Kingdom, it is my duty to do so," she replied.
"Hmph." He attacked her again. "This is my territory, Anna Hathaway!"
But once again, the attack was ineffective.
"Since you betrayed us, a part of our territory remained here, old minister. So stop throwing tantrums," she said.
Under her intense gaze, she grabbed Elliot, Andrew, Jenna, and also several items that were scattered around the dead (loot) and left.
"Minister..." Christian was about to say sothing, but the man in front of him shook his head.
"Don't expect to ss with that crazy woman, Prince. She won't kill you because I'm here, but if I get into a fight with her, she surely will," he replied. He was the nation's Minister of Awakened Ones.
Christian frowned and looked at his hand. "I'll have to spend a lot to recover, and I didn't manage to kill that bastard."
He was furious.
But he had to keep quiet and resign himself to it. He looked at Rich's body but ignored it. The body of a criminal, even if he had been supporting him for a long ti, had no value.
After that, he had to go with the minister to be treated.
Things in the City were going to get ugly.
