Thus, the day passed quickly, and soon it was the Tournant’s fourth day.
It was a decisive day that, unusually, dawned with a certain tension in the air. There seed to be no celebrations on this day, but everyone watched intently to see what might happen in the coming hours.
In the current era, System Tournants, or those that follow the rules set by the System, are the greatest source of sports entertainnt.
While other sports, such as soccer, are played by both normal people and awakened ones, they are not as impressive as the battles in the arena.
One team against another, facing off under strict rules in search of a trophy, recognition, and much more.
Large fan clubs have ford for many teams throughout the history of this competition, so their fans enjoy every ga with fervor.
Today, only four teams remained in the tournant. Three of these have a strong and nurous fan base in the city, and the other has the most loyal fans of all the remaining teams.
The Clark Group, Broken Leaf, and the Elental Academy have nurous fans in the city and even in the surrounding areas, thanks to Tyler Clark. While Angelic Wave has the fewest fans, all of their fans remain loyal and support them at all tis.
Furthermore, it is known that Angelic Wave has the most powerful backing alongside the Elental Academy, so each of these remaining guilds was highly respected in the city.
This led to an almost palpable tension in the air, as everyone wondered which would be eliminated. In addition, two matches will be played today.
In both cases, individual MVP awards would be given, so today could decide the winner of the Tournant MVP award or give rise to a new contender for it.
Nothing was certain when the starting trumpets sounded throughout the city, and everyone who could began watching television.
The first match of the day was Angelic Wave against Broken Leaf.
Thanks to their unique fighting style, Broken Leaf had a clear advantage during the first few minutes. However, that changed when the mbers of Angelic Wave began to move satisfactorily, maintaining very good coordination and a trendous offensive.
Broken Leaf wasn’t really weak; despite not having a Master in their ranks, what always characterized them made them shine once again on the battlefield, even when facing a Master and an unhinged Elliot who seed to attack them with hatred.
And it makes sense. They were allies of the Clark Group and even dared to sell him out during the trials.
He didn’t kill anyone because he understood Steward’s concerns about his guild; he understood that he couldn’t go too far when he had been helped by him and his guild to be here right now.
But with both of them doing such an exceptional job, there was no way for Broken Leaf to think about winning.
The fight wasn’t the shortest, but it lasted 10 minutes, making it one of the shortest in the tournant.
When the fight ended, Elliot and the rest of his teammates left the arena without even looking to see who the fight’s MVP was.
[MVP of Match 1 on Day 4]
[Elliot Clark]
...
In the team’s dressing room, instead of Steward, Elliot gave the rest of the team a pep talk.
"The next match is crucial for us, as we can reach the final with a win and secure several Star Knight spots for our mbers," he said, beginning his speech.
"Not only that, but most of our team, four of us to be exact, have been victims of this group’s plot before in the Tall-Ar Forest. Dying was the least of our concerns in those circumstances, so now that we’re here, we must take revenge."
"Chris and Rich, you may be the least aware of what happened that ti, but it was the Clark Group that attacked us and almost killed us all. So far, I know you haven’t shown us everything you’ve made, so how about you decide to show us this ti? I’m not asking you to reveal all your trump cards, just to fight fiercely once again."
Chris stared at Elliot for several minutes.
"Are you sure it was them?"
"Absolutely sure," Elliot replied. "You should know that I belong to that family, well, I used to. They want to kill , so that ti I went and got the team into trouble, but that doesn’t change the fact that we were attacked."
Chris nodded and thought deeply. Then he drew his sword and stood up. He grabbed it and pointed it at the ground, with his fist pointing toward Elliot.
"We’re teammates, and I’m sure we can be good friends in the future. So, for your sake, I’ll fight with all my strength in this match."
Elliot nodded at him and looked at Rich, who smiled as usual and got up quickly.
"Since Chris is going to do it, I should too. Although you shouldn’t think of as soone strong, I’ll show you that I can help you get revenge."
Elliot smiled. "I’m satisfied with your words. I do need to show the Clarks that I’m not soone they can easily offend." Then he looked at Jenna.
"I think we’re on the sa page, right?" he asked.
She simply smiled and didn’t respond. Her expression alone told him that she would help him in any way he wanted and that she completely agreed with his plans.
Today was his day to shine, so she wanted to let him shine as much as he wanted to. That’s why she was already preparing everything she had to show what he wanted the team to show: superiority and lethality.
Suddenly, soone spoke. "I’m with you on this, Elliot. We may not know each other very well, but you were entrusted to by Master Steward, and even though you’re really stronger than I, let lead the team to victory. I’ll destroy those bastards’ confidence." Andrew declared from the side, pulling out his huge hamr and letting it hit the ground.
"My skills are ready for this battle. So I hope you won’t hold back." He smiled in a friendly manner.
During the few days they knew each other, they beca good friends because they had to devise strategies and implent them for the team. Andrew saw Elliot as one of the team captains. In fact, before implenting a strategy, he would first run it by Elliot.
Although he may not have much experience in so areas, Elliot has a natural talent for battles and battle strategies. Andrew values the ability to connect the dots and turn sothing simple into sothing amazing, as he is the complete opposite.
He can devise amazing strategies, but does not connect the dots to make them work. That’s why they beca good friends in such a short ti, as they spent a lot of ti together.
Elliot was more than willing to let him lead, as he had a better way of doing things, and the last two battles were proof of that. He knew exactly how each strategy worked, so he had very good control of the field, even though he was always at the front.
Usually, team captains stayed in the back, as with Thomas, the Soul Mage and Captain of the Elental Academy.
But he was different.
"You have a natural ability to lead, and it would insult your talent not to let it shine. So don’t worry, we’ll listen to you during the fight."
"Haha, okay. Then let’s all trust ourselves and take on those bastards. I don’t want to hear anyone say they lack the confidence to face them." He said, looking at Rich, Andy, and Philip, as he knew they might have started to doubt themselves, given the other team’s strength.
But this ti, everyone agreed that they would do their best to destroy Clark’s Group.
--
In another dressing room, that of the Clark Group.
Given the destruction in the room, it looked like a major earthquake had struck. Broken vases were scattered on the floor, flowers were strewn everywhere, and even so of the furniture had been overturned.
All this resulted from the anger of one person with much backing.
Thomas Lecrow, Captain of the Elental Academy. Next to him, supporting his tantrum, was Master Roy.
And near them was the entire Clark Group team.
Thomas was breathing heavily because of his rage when he saw the MVP results on the screen.
"That bastard... Did he buy the judges?" he roared again, but nothing was left to break.
The leaders present couldn’t say anything.
They understood the judges, too, and Thomas could understand them if he didn’t feel hatred toward Elliot.
It was a fair award; there was nothing else to be done.
The thing was, with this MVP award, it was almost guaranteed that he would get it unless...
They were eliminated.
Thomas stared at the mbers of the Clark group intently then.
