"The reputation of a noble house is never wrong." Lyarra's thoughts, looking at the Heir of House Greyjoy. This content belongs to novęlfire

Lyarra didn't mind being ignored, the Sardaukar's cold reputation was more than common knowledge. Their coldness made mothers use them as a ans of disciplining disobedient children.

Of course, that was only when these children were still young, when they grew up, the most popular choice of the Twenty-Two Legions were the Sardaukar, who protected the God Emperor of Mankind. With such a mission and indoctrinated from an early age, most actually signed up for the Sardaukar battle courses.

Unfortunately, although the Sardaukar had the highest enrolnt rate, it also had the highest rejection rate.

"The inspection may last a day or two, but My Lady can find company with the other ladys and young lords currently on the Visenya Wall." Marik felt that he was more talkative than usual, perhaps because the girl in front of him was the son of Primarch Leman Russ of the Special Wolves.

"I certainly will." Lyarra replied and bowed slightly forward with an elegance worthy of a lady from a ducal house.

Marik didn't reply and signaled with his hands for all the Astartes present to return to their ships. Lyarra watched with a calm gaze as the ships left the hangar and disappeared before her.

"I still want to know how Jon manages to live next to those cold guys." Arya comnted with a sarcastic tone, but was unaware that her words made everyone wince, including Lyarra herself.

"Auntie, that's not very appropriate." Lyarra whispered to Arya with a worried look, but the woman simply shrugged and left with her sword.

How could Lyarra not know about the history between House Targaryen and House Stark? The punishnt on her great-grandmother was still in force even after almost twelve hundred years. The Emperor had forbidden Catelyn to leave the castle and that was still in force.

At the sa ti, because of the history between House Stark and Targaryen, she knew secrets that others didn't, especially about the Emperor's mortal na, before he beca a god worshipped by the human race.

Jon Snow.

That na was almost taboo, no one dared ntion it. Not because the God Emperor hated the na, but because the Inquisition didn't like the association that the God Emperor of Humanity was once a human like the rest of them.

Looking at the commander and the Officers trembling slightly, Lyarra knew that they weren't trembling because of the na said, but because calling the Emperor anything other than God, Emperor, God Emperor, was considered heresy.

And when it ca to terrorizing people, the Inquisition ca first. The number of people killed to consolidate this status of terror and fear could fill a planet with skulls.

"Go back to your quarters, you don't have to worry about anything else." Lyarra spoke with a gentle tone, calming the commander and the other officers present.

Letting out a sigh, Lyarra felt that her aunt was really irresponsible. Others might admire her for being one of the first to venture into this huge galaxy, discovering planets for the Imperium, but in her eyes, her aunt was soone who was ignorant and irresponsible, who shirked her duties.

"I have to talk to Grandpa so that my aunt, Grandma, doesn't get into trouble." Lyarra muttered, walking towards her room. She sensed that this trip representing House Stark was going to be a lively one.

Created in the Year 1002 of Imperium, the Visenya Wall was a great planetary wall, made up of several dwarf planets that prevented any being from entering the Solar System.

Around and within the Wall, travel in the Warp was even ineffective, as the rings covering the dwarf planets were made of a special tal created by Queen Visenya. When energized with sunlight, this tal could produce a peculiar radiation that stabilized the surrounding space and made it denser and harder.

This prevented travel in the Warp and anything else related to the Warp, making even Psykers as common as re mortals.

Lyarra entered one of the dwarf planets and looked up, still pressed up against the four rings in the sky, which revolved around the planet.

Under the company of dozens of maids, Lyarra quickly arrived at the gathering of nobles, who, like her, represented the noble houses on the queen's birthday.

It was a large square, with greenery and an outdoor table. Girls and boys of all ages could be seen chatting in small groups around the square.

'The old politics. Lyarra thought with a smile. She could see that these small groups were made up of political allies. Each group represented a small share of power in the senate and the Space Guilds.

House Stark was no different from these small groups, but instead of being just a small insignificant mber in the senate, House Stark had a lot of power. Which could be seen with many glances at Lyarra.

"Lady Lyarra." The first to greet Lyarra was the group of Nobles from the North of the Galaxy, houses such as Umber, Karstark and Reed. There were other noble houses, but they were only minor noble houses. They all gathered around Lyarra, as if they finally had a leader.

The second group to gather were the young lords of the noble houses, all of whom had only one goal, to marry Lyarra. Marrying Lyarra ant wealth, power and most importantly, it ant getting into the Emperor's good graces.

Who didn't know that the current Lord Stark, Robb, grew up next door to the Emperor and that they were practically brothers?

"Lady Lyarra, you look so beautiful today."

"Lady Lyarra, your eyes are so beautiful."

"Lady Lyarra."

The flurry of complints reached Lyarra's ears, but she remained smiling gently, giving false hope to these young n who thought they could marry her.

As a woman and a woman in politics, Lyarra knew how to use her gender to manipulate these n with shocking ease. That's what she was doing, smiling gently at certain young n and making them believe that they were really winning Lyarra over.

The third group to approach Lyarra were won from other noble houses, especially those with lower status.

"Lyarra, you took so long to arrive, was there a problem?" A lady from House Redwyne asked with a worried tone.

However, how could Lyarra not notice that this concern was false? But when it cos to politics, always hide your feelings well and befriend even snakes and jackals.

"My spaceships have been inspected, it's no big deal." Lyarra replied in a gentle, elegant tone, looking at the girl before her with a calm gaze. You could be friends with that kind of woman, but you could never really trust her.

"Those monsters only know how to follow orders, always despising us, the nobility." The girl said with a genuine tone of anger, apparently having also had her spaceship inspected by the Sardaukar.

The girl's words won the assent of everyone present.

"Lady Lyarra, shall we have a drink?" A handso young man with black hair and eyes looked a little pale. There was a dangerous aura around him, but that would make these young ladys even more delighted.

Lyarra smiled and politely refused, but still asked the young man his na. "I'm not feeling well enough to drink, but thank you, Sir?"

"Garan Greyjoy." The young man spoke with a mischievous smile as he looked at Lyarra with a calm gaze, but behind this calmness, a feeling of lust was well hidden.

"Ahh, the salt rapists." One of the other young n, who was jealous of seeing Garan next to Lyarra, comnted sarcastically.

"My ancestors raped won, but at least they were human won. As for your father, I hear he has a harem of insect won and other races." Garan said with a smile, but didn't hide the contempt in his words.

The young man's face turned red at Garan's words, and he took a step forward with the intention of punching his love rival, but was stopped by his friends.

Lyarra finally knew who Garan was. Heir to House Greyjoy. Unlike the other Great Noble Houses, House Greyjoy didn't remain a great noble house, not just because it annoyed the Emperor, but because it didn't have the population to bear such a title.

So, from a great house to the current Viscount, this was the current House Greyjoy in decline. Although Lyarra has heard that House Greyjoy was involved in space piracy and trafficking in other races.

You could say that House Greyjoy still had a bad reputation, even after a thousand years.
