Jiang Ming was dumbfounded at the system prompt while the hot water was splashing on his naked body.
'Current predicant?' Jiang Ming exclaid inwardly. It was the first ti he had found a clue or any ntion regarding his transmigration.
"This damn system really knows how to strike one's nerves." He comnted in annoyance. The GLCS had never forced him to do anything he was unwilling to do, but at the sa ti, it technically gave him no other choice except for its plan.
Of course, Jiang Ming could easily ignore the ancient ruin that was about to comnce, but the cost would be about his curiosity. A curiosity that had always pricked his skin to no end.
With the sudden prompt, Jiang Ming lost all mood to shower properly as he made a quick rinse and dressed in the new clothes. Tidying his clothes slightly, Jiang Ming headed back downstairs and saw Yang Liqin already sitting at the table, waiting for his arrival.
"Finish showering? The food's still hot." Yang Liqin said.
Jiang Ming held a calm expression as he nodded his head. Taking his seat, he proceeded to start picking up each dish that was cooked to perfection from her.
The scrambled egg was creamy and full of richness that lted in one mouth. As for the pri steak, it was cooked to a dium-rare temperature and oozed out the aty juice. Everything was of five-star Michelin quality. He could feel how blessed he was with such an amazing aunt.
"Aunt, you are amazing in everything." Jiang Ming gave a thumbs up. He was sincere about praising her and not bootlicking her to get into her good book.
"Fufu, stop praising and just finish them all." Yang Liqin giggled softly. "The greatest honor for a chef is not the praise, but when they finish eating all of their dishes."
Jiang Ming nodded his head.
Within a few minutes, he had quickly finished every dish that was on the table. After using System Personification and overusing his brain cell in Lavender Heaven, he was exhausted. Luckily, Yang Liqin's dish seed to have so special effect that helped him restore his stamina and strength.
"Haaa, that was so fantastic dinner." Jiang Ming rubbed his tummy in joy. He had a satisfied look on his face, clearly enjoying her cuisine.
"Alright, let clean up the dishes for you," Yang Liqin smiled and grabbed the empty dishes. She then headed over to the kitchen and began washing the dishes.
"Why don't you have the maids do the cleaning, aunt?" Jiang Ming asked. "I recall ordering Hong Ling previously to hire so maids, but how co I don't see any maids around?"
It was only at this mont that Jiang Ming realized that the house only had Hong Ling and Yang Liqin living with him, subtracting the house spirit Xue Daiyu.
"I don't trust outsiders much, so I told Hong Ling not to hire any maids. Not to ntion, I don't like it when the house is filled with many beautiful won." She kindly replied.
However, Jiang Ming could subtly tell a dark aura was rising up from her, prompting him to stop asking about this kind of topic. He swallowed so of his saliva nervously as he nodded his head.
"Is that so… we'll forget about hiring any maids then." Jiang Ming decided to laugh it off. His life was more important than having so beautiful maids running around his house.
Soti later, Jiang Ming took a deep breath as he walked over to his aunt, wrapping his arms around her waist.
"Aunt, I've heard rumors that an ancient ruin is about to appear around the Northern Continent, and I plan on going there." He whispered sweetly. He could feel his aunt trembling slightly when he whispered those.
"Have you already made that decision before informing ?"
"Un, I know you are worried about , but as a cultivator, one must be ready to risk their lives to achieve sothing. Currently, I'm still in the lowest realm possible and I'm prone to get targeted whenever I leave the city to explore outside."
"Then why not just stay ho and cultivate diligently. Why are you trying to risk your life by going to so ancient ruin? There's a reason why it's called an ancient ruin because it's from a long ti ago. Who knows how many deadly traps and chanisms are filled there?"
Jiang Ming was stupefied by the counterclaim from Yang Liqin. Every point she made was logical and almost made him rethink his decision twice.
Alas, the main point of him trying to enter it was not for so lucky chances, but for the completion of his mission. If it's possible, Jiang Ming wouldn't mind telling her about his system, but it was just too complicated for her to understand.
Not to ntion, he could tell that every ti he tried to tell another person about his system, it would react strongly and send so sort of electrocuting signal to him.
"Sigh, there's no point in trying to convince you." Yang Liqin placed the plate at the sink. She turned around and stared at him solemnly.
"Instead of letting you take risks alone, let's explore together this ti." She suggested.
"At least that way, I can prevent others from having nefarious intent on you when we enter the ancient ruin. They will have to think twice before making a move on you."
Jiang Ming was baffled for a mont before flashing a cheeky smile. "Since you insist on doing it this way, then so be it." He agreed with her suggestion.
Similar to him, his aunt was also extrely stubborn whenever she made her decision.
"Then when is that ancient ruin going to appear?" Yang Liqin asked. She needed to prepare for everything before leaving for a long period. Ancient ruins would typically last for a month or even longer, depending on the rarity and resources available.
"About 2-3 days from now. The other clans are also prepping for it. Though I still don't know where they get their sources from."
