"Be careful!"
Ares warned, his body glowing with cold light. A dozen flying swords shot out, cutting through all the vines in their way.
Constantine and the others didn’t hesitate. They attacked without delay, their War Hamrs roaring and magic flying.
These vines were strange and strong, but they couldn’t threaten the group.
Red liquid flowed as the vines were cut to pieces. But more vines ca out of the mist.
"George, can you feel where the real body of these vines is?" Ares walked calmly, easily destroying the vines that ca at him.
But these weren’t the real ones. Killing them didn’t do much damage.
George felt a sharp pain in his forehead and shook his head. "I can’t sense it, but there are a lot of Bloodvines here. The whole Bloodmist is full of them."
Ares frowned. He already knew so things from adventurers who had entered the Bloodmist before. If they got trapped by the Bloodvines, they would die when their strength ran out.
"Can you hold on a little longer?" he asked, not worried about himself but worried about George.
"No problem."
George looked at Constantine and the others. Destroying these vines was easy. Even if sothing happened, he could quickly run into the Abyss.
"Okay, keep moving."
Ares controlled his flying swords with all his power, speeding up the killing, and moved deeper into the mist.
George followed closely, protected by the group.
Plop, plop! Red liquid sprayed as countless Bloodvines were destroyed. They couldn’t stop the group.
"We should have entered the deep part of the Bloodmist by now," George said, frowning. His demon mark burned more and more, and the pain was unbearable. The vines around them were more and more, and even stronger.
Ares could easily destroy the vines, but George’s friends were having so trouble.
The group had to close their ranks, protecting George and fighting hard to destroy the Bloodvines.
"Can you feel the real body of the Bloodvine?" Ares asked again.
George rubbed his forehead and pointed to the right side. "There."
He couldn’t sense the real body, but moving in that direction made the pain in his forehead worse.
"Okay, stay close to !"
Ares warned, and his flying swords increased to more than thirty. The vines that ca at them were cut into pieces.
His pressure was high now. The vines weren’t too dangerous, but controlling so many swords used up a lot of his ntal power. If he didn’t kill the real body quickly, it would be dangerous.
George kept the pain in his forehead, and followed Ares closely.
Suddenly, a loud, painful scream ca from the depths of the Bloodmist. The mist moved, and countless Bloodvines rushed out.
"We found it!" Ares’s eyes lit up. He shot a few cold lights into the deep mist.
"Roar!"
A painful scream ca from the Bloodmist. The surrounding vines beca even more violent.
"This is really stubborn!"
Ares looked serious. He shot dozens of cold lights, quickly cutting down the vines attacking them.
But there were too many vines. They attacked the group wildly, and they couldn’t move forward quickly.
"Ares, don’t worry about . You kill the real body first," George knew these vines couldn’t trap Ares, but he was worried about himself and didn’t want to go deeper.
"What about you?" Ares was still worried.
George said, "Don’t worry, I’ll be fine. And if we don’t kill the real body, we’ll all die."
"Okay, be careful," Ares knew this, and warned him. Then he controlled dozens of flying swords, destroying as many vines as possible, and moved deeper into the Bloodmist.
"No good! The real Bloodvine can move!" George’s face turned serious. He felt the real body of the Bloodvine moving fast.
"Relax, I can sense where it is," Ares’ voice ca from the Bloodmist.
George was surprised. The Bloodmist was thick. Even the Crimson Crystal could only clear a hundred ters. But Ares could still find it.
"Lord, this old man is strong. Especially his Intellect," Eliex said.
Intellect was powerful and rare. Few warriors focused on it.
George thought about Ares’ class. He had heard about Ares’ legend yesterday and did so research. ntal Sage was a rare and powerful class that focused on Intellect.
"Roar, roar..."
Suddenly, a loud, angry scream ca from deep in the mist. The Bloodvines around them started to disappear, and the pressure on George and the others dropped.
It was Ares and the real Bloodvine fighting.
"Let’s go check it out," George said, ignoring the sharp pain in his forehead, and ran toward the sound of the fight.
The Bloodmist moved, and he could see a big black shape in the distance.
It was a thick, dead tree, covered in red vines like whips. They swung wildly, creating many shadows and covering Ares.
"Ten Thousand Sword Art!"
Ares sneered. He shot out a bunch of sword lights, and the incoming vines were all cut into pieces.
Wow, so strong!
George was shocked inside. Even Constantine and the others together might not be a match for Ares.
War God was definitely not soone to be taken lightly.
"Roar!"
The tree let out a painful cry and moved, trying to run away into the deep mist.
"Now you want to run? Too late!"
Ares sneered. His sword lights gathered around him, forming a huge sword.
"Cut!"
He shouted, and the huge sword cut into the Bloodmist.
Plop!
A soft sound, followed by the Bloodvine’s painful scream. The Bloodmist around them started to disappear, sinking into the ground.
George saw everything clearly. A big dead tree was split in two, and red blood was flowing out.
"Is that it?" George was surprised. He walked over with curiosity, while Constantine and the others followed closely.
"Phew," Ares sighed, and his strong sword aura disappeared. His face was a bit pale.
Killing the Bloodvine wasn’t as easy as it looked.
"Jade Elixir!" Eliex shouted, attracted by the clear liquid flowing from the tree’s cut.
"Is this the Jade Elixir?" George asked, curious. The tree was killed by Ares, and he didn’t get any ssage.
He hadn’t expected the Jade Elixir to be such a clear liquid.
"Great stuff," Eliex said. He pulled out a porcelain bottle from nowhere and quickly moved to the tree to collect the liquid.
George felt awkward and looked at Ares.
The tree was killed by Ares, so the loot belonged to him.
"Don’t worry. If you like it, it’s yours," Ares smiled. The Jade Elixir was rare, but for him, it was easy to get.
"Thanks, Mr. Ares," George didn’t refuse.
The Jade Elixir was a key material for George’s attribute fusion potion. It was very important to him.
"Old man, give us so of this too," Eliex pulled out a red vine from sowhere and said to Ares.
George glared at him.
Ares didn’t get angry. "All the loot is yours. But I want to take the tree back for research."
"Thanks," Eliex didn’t hesitate and collected all the loot that fell from the tree.
"Let’s go. We should head back to the Sovereign City," Ares said, seeing the Bloodmist was gone and the danger was over.
Suddenly, the ground under their feet moved. A small Bloodvine shot up and rushed directly at Ares.
"Be careful!" George shouted, surprised, and imdiately called out a warning.
Ares reacted fast. He backed away quickly, but the Bloodvine was faster. In a flash, it wrapped around him.
He panicked and raised his wrist. At the sa ti, a cold light shot out.
The weak Bloodvine was broken apart, but Ares looked angry. He looked at his wrist and saw red blood dripping down.
"Guess I got taken down in a back alley."
He glanced at his injured wrist, then his sword light surged, forming a huge sword that quickly ca toward himself.
"Shit! Constantine, stop him!" Eliex saw Ares’ move and was shocked.
Thankfully, Constantine was closest. He imdiately threw his War Hamr.
Boom!
The War Hamr smashed the sword light apart.
Ares frowned and looked at Eliex, angry. "What the hell was that? I was already infected by the Bloodvine. If I go berserk, no one in the Sovereign City can stop ."
He was telling the truth. Among the War God strongn in the Sovereign City, he was one of the best. After being infected by Bloodvine, his strength would increase a lot. That would bring a big disaster to the city.
"Old man, you sure are brave," Eliex said, a little impressed. He was ready to kill himself without hesitation.
He saw Ares about to attack again and quickly said, "The Blood Poison doesn’t take effect that fast. Just cut off your arm and you’ll be fine."
"Do I really not have to die?" Ares was surprised. That was a lucky break. A sword light flashed, and his right arm was cut off. He didn’t even flinch.
"Elise," George quickly called out.
Elise understood and imdiately cast a healing spell. Ares’ cut arm stopped bleeding and started to heal.
Ares nodded in gratitude to George. Then he looked at Eliex and asked, "Are you sure this won’t make infected?"
Eliex floated in front of him, shining with holy light. He checked and said, "Relax, you’re not infected."
He looked at Ares’ cut-off arm on the ground and added, "Actually, you just need to cut it off at the wrist."
"Doesn’t matter. It’s just one arm. It doesn’t affect at all," Ares said, not caring at all. He even gathered sword light and crushed the arm.
This Blood Poison was too weird. He was afraid the arm might co back to life.
Eliex looked impressed and said, "There are a lot of people here. I guess so adventurers have entered the Bloodmist before, right?"
Ares nodded and frowned. "So, can people get infected just by entering the Bloodmist?"
He looked at George.
George had also entered the Bloodmist. If he was infected, he would feel guilty.
"No," Eliex explained. "Only if you get pierced by a Bloodvine will you be infected with Blood Poison. But the speed of infection varies from person to person. For soone like you, it would take at least three months before you start going berserk. For weaker people, it can happen in just one day—especially at midnight."
