After half a year away, Caelum could truly feel how different New Kirk had beco.
Humans, Divine Wastelanders, and people from all kinds of ga worlds had rged and mingled here, turning the place into sothing far noisier than before.
Technology, magic, mystic arts, bloodlines...
All kinds of civilizations had collided and blended in New Kirk, giving birth to countless strange new things. Trends, techniques, and inventions popped up one after another.
It was enough to make anyone dizzy.
To live here, no, to survive here, a strong heart and nerves of steel were absolutely essential. Otherwise, sooner or later, you would break down.
Boom!
In the middle of the night, a gang of street racers ca roaring out to blast through the streets. But this was New Kirk, so making noise was never going to be that simple. Their cars were the latest models.
Z Type No. 5 tires with absurd grip.
A brutally powerful Mana Heart V11 engine.
A shell made from the newest alchemical materials with incredible defensive strength, paired with the latest suspension chassis that could absorb almost any kinetic force.
The mont the accelerator went down, the speed was basically rocket level. It felt like your soul might get flung out of your body. The only drawback was that the Mana Heart V11 engine was ridiculously loud.
Wherever it went, it sounded like thunder rolling through the city.
Except that was exactly what these racers wanted.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Several racing cars roared past, dragging afterimages across the street while the thrusters under their chassis spat blazing tails of fire.
Then the cars suddenly jumped, launching straight from the street onto the side of a building. Climbing vertically at ninety degrees was no problem at all. Their tires clung tightly to the wall with terrifying grip.
They left long tire marks all the way up.
"What the hell? Do you know what ti it is? Are you letting anyone sleep?"
"You bastards, so of us still have work tomorrow!"
"You little punks, how many nights has it been? You co here every single night now?"
The residents along the entire street were jolted awake and started cursing at the top of their lungs. The racers only burst into laughter, ready to speed off in triumph.
Just as several cars were about to roll across the outer wall of soone’s balcony, that soone jumped out onto the balcony and delivered a clean flying kick.
The lead car was the first to go flying through the air. Before the ones behind it could react, they followed right after, crashing one after another down onto the street.
Every last one of them ended up flipped over like a turtle on its shell.
"Holy crap!"
"Shit, I almost died!"
The racers crawled out of their cars and looked at the bottomless abyss beside the apartnt building. They had nearly fallen in just now, and cold sweat instantly broke out all over them.
Bang!
Caelum jumped down onto the street with murderous montum, a feather duster in hand. Without wasting a word, he raised it and started whipping the lot of them.
At first, the racers were still ready to laugh.
"Hey, kid, do you know how much one of these cars costs? Tens of billions!"
"I... ow!"
"Bro, I was wrong!"
"Stop hitting , bro! Do not wake the neighbors! Everyone still has work tomorrow!"
They barely got two sentences out before Caelum’s feather duster ca down on them. Anyone who refused to sleep properly in the middle of the night and disturbed everyone else’s peace had better not expect rcy. Caelum’s temper after being woken up was no joke.
Boom!
The alchemical shell, tough enough to take a nuclear blast head on without a scratch, was as brittle as a biscuit under Caelum’s feather duster. After only a few hits, it shattered into parts all over the ground.
"My car!"
The racers looked like their hearts had been ripped out.
"Kid, I’m not letting this go!"
One young man among the racers was boiling with rage. He took out a power rental contract and tore it open. In the next mont, a powerful aura burst from his body.
Power rental contracts ca in two types. One was long term and continuous, but extrely expensive. The other was the kind this young man had, ant only for ergencies.
The price was relatively cheap.
Most of the contracts Fluffball’s company signed with clients were of this type. They offered the best value for the money.
"Kid, you are dead, I’m telling you!"
SS rank power?
Caelum’s face remained blank. With a backhand swing of the feather duster, he sent the young man flying. SS rank power was no stronger than a chick in front of him.
Bang!
The young man smashed headfirst into the wall, his face full of confusion.
"Huh?"
What just happened?
Had he bought a fake?
At that mont, Caelum looked like a war god in the eyes of the neighbors. Even the patients from the hospital beside the apartnt building had rushed out to watch the fun.
So of them were even cheering Caelum on, happy to make things worse.
"Handso, beat his ass!"
"I have been sick of these brats for ages. They tear through the streets every night. You might as well knock his brains out. The hospital is right here, so it will be convenient to carry him in!"
One minute later, the beating was over.
Several people lay scattered across the street, while the racing cars had all been reduced to piles of parts. The racers looked ready to cry, their hearts bleeding at the sight.
Caelum was about to head ho when sothing tugged at his senses. He turned to the side and saw soone crouching by the road, watching the show while holding a bowl of instant noodles and slurping away.
It was Aurelius.
Aurelius from the world of Immortal Ascension.
A group of doctors and nurses rushed out of the hospital. With practiced efficiency, they carried the racers onto stretchers and even pulled the one stuck in the wall back out.
Then they dragged all of them straight into the hospital.
Slurp.
Steam drifted up slowly. Caelum was also holding a bowl of instant noodles now, crouching beside Aurelius and eating with great satisfaction. He asked Aurelius, "What is going on with your Realm?"
Aurelius shook his head.
"I am just as lost. At the mont the Sea of Transcendence collapsed, I felt as though I had set foot upon the far shore. But the Sea of Transcendence no longer exists, so where could that far shore be?"
So, he was now at the half step Great Transcendence Realm of Great Freedom.
Though it looked like there was only half a step between him and Caelum, in truth, their Realms and strength were not comparable at all.
Aurelius estimated that even if he truly reached the far shore, he probably still would not be Caelum’s match. After all, this kid had not reached the Great Transcendence Realm of Great Freedom by stepping onto the far shore.
He had directly severed the entire Sea of Transcendence, reaching the Great Transcendence Realm in the most tyrannical way possible. Any ordinary Transcendence cultivator facing him would have no chance of winning.
Even so, Aurelius was at least an existence who had surpassed the ultimate limits of the Dao. In the current world, aside from Caelum, no one was his match. It would also be very difficult for any other opponent capable of rivaling him to appear later.
After all, half step Great Transcendence of Great Freedom was truly far beyond common sense.
"A ga invasion phenonon?"
"That should be the case."
Aurelius nodded.
After arriving in this world, he had learned a bit about the relevant information. Only a ga invasion phenonon could explain why he had appeared here.
"Speaking of which, your world seems rather interesting."
Aurelius looked at the racing cars shattered into piles of parts on the street, a fresh light flickering in his eyes. He had been in the Sea of Transcendence for far too long. Now that he had finally broken free and happened to arrive on Earth, there were many things he wanted to try.
Caelum said casually, "Just do not go too crazy."
"Rest assured."
Aurelius said, "I have always understood propriety and know where to draw the line. Considering the many years of friendship between us, I will not give you trouble."
No one understood Caelum better than him.
Aurelius had not spent all those years in the Sea of Transcendence for nothing. Besides, in the world of Immortal Ascension, the two of them were the only ones without any conflict of interest.
Without even realizing it, they had instead beco close friends who could speak openly with each other.
Aurelius looked toward Caelum’s apartnt.
"Do you rent rooms here?"
