Barbaro's psychological advantage over An Kui quickly disappeared as the Iridium Star Commander, Xu Lanzhou, refused to attend the Snow Dragon Alliance eting because the Iridium Star United Empire had no intention of joining such an alliance or being commanded by it.

Although Barbaro had known from early on that the people of Iridium Star had no plans to join the alliance, such an action was truly a snub to the Snow Dragon Alliance, making many representatives of civilizations within the alliance itch to curse out loud.

Xu Lanzhou was not one to beat around the bush. She had co under the orders of Bai Zhongqi, and those orders did not include fostering good relations with the Snow Dragon Alliance. Iridium Star saw no need for this, as the United Empire's eyes were already devoid of entities at such a level.

Yet, this still deeply offended the Snow Dragon Alliance.

Di Maquan spoke very seriously to Xu Lanzhou, "If the Iridium Star United Empire is willing to join the Snow Dragon Alliance, then we believe it should not expect to share intelligence and other resources with you gratuitously, nor will we take you into battle. Because we cannot be certain of Iridium Star's true intentions, whether you genuinely wish to defeat the Spiral Mosquito people or might drag us down or even stab us in the back is unclear to us."

Barbaro, upon hearing Di Maquan's words, also felt a sense of helplessness. What Di Maquan said was not without reason, but Barbaro did not believe that Iridium Star would act against the Snow Dragon Alliance, at least not in the event of the Spiral Mosquito invasion. Although he could not fully determine Iridium Star's hierarchy, Barbaro felt that Iridium Star was likely stronger than both the Light Valley and Klaren civilizations, and dealing with the Snow Dragon Alliance should be no problem; hence, there was no need to harm them.

Xu Lanzhou was not surprised by Di Maquan's reaction. Anyone facing a military force they were unfamiliar with, especially during a period of such great enemy threat, could not afford to be careless. It would be strange if the Snow Dragon Alliance readily accepted them.

Xu Lanzhou was not angered by Di Maquan's rejection; her temperant had beco much steadier than before. Years of being confined to her own ntal world had taught her patience and adaptability.

"General Di Maquan, the fleet of the Iridium Star United Empire is here to confront the Spiral Mosquitoes," Xu Lanzhou said. "Regardless of whether the Snow Dragon Alliance wishes to fight alongside us, it makes no difference to us. We will not leave, we will wait for combat with the Spiral Mosquitoes. If the Snow Dragon Alliance wishes to drive us away, then I welco you to try and see if you can actually do it."

The Knight Miss's tone was calm, but her words were very heavy, brimming with provocation.

Upon hearing this, Barbaro's guts turned green with regret. Iridium Star was an uncontrollable variable for them, and now it seed it was not going to be an advantage but a problem. He already saw several civilization representatives looking at him with eyes sharp as knives.

Di Maquan weighed his thoughts carefully and eventually cut off the communication without making any response to the Iridium Star Fleet.

This was not a ti for complications. He actually believed inwardly that the people of Iridium Star had co to help, the exact motives unclear, but from various indications, they seed interested in annihilating the Spiral Mosquitoes.

So, in a state of half-standoff, half-ignoring the other's presence, after a week had passed, Di Maquan decided to lead the Snow Dragon Alliance fleet to launch an attack on the Spiral Mosquito Fleet before their rest and reorganization ended, aiming to achieve a victory to prevent them from encroaching on new civilizations.

By now, Bai Zhongqi had already arrived among Xu Lanzhou's fleet. Xu Lanzhou's flagship this ti was a Sacred Falcon Class Battleship Cruiser nad Sacred Lion. Before the expedition, it had undergone so system upgrades, the most notable of which was the enhancent of the energy output devices and the installation of a twin-mounted Incandescence Cannon turret.

"It seems that the Snow Dragon Alliance is finally about to make a move," Bai Zhongqi said with a smile.

At the mont, Mr. Chancellor seed to be uninvolved. When he had taken control of the Empire again, various matters could be managed by his subordinates. Not to ntion the officials of the Iridium Star United Empire, the three institutions he personally controlled were also very useful subordinates. The Twelve Knights of Destiny now basically each had their own assignnts, and Bai Zhongqi's greatest purpose was occasionally to act as a courier, sending his power to different universes and regions.

Xu Lanzhou said, "The Snow Dragon Alliance hasn't sent us any information about military actions, but Barbaro has provided us with so data. They plan to attack the smallest of the Spiral Mosquito Fleets. This ti they are dispatching six thousand warships, with the fleets from Light Valley and the Klaren as the backbone. The warships from other civilizations are just there to wave the flag and shout. If a real conflict breaks out, I doubt they will be of much use."

Bai Zhongqi now basically affird that the Spiral Mosquito Civilization had developed to a very high level, with their technology even surpassing that of the 27th-level Iridium Star United Empire.

"The Spiral Mosquitoes have always been a civilization with strong military capabilities. When we originally competed with them for dominance in the Galaxy of the First Universe, we paid a heavy price. Now that they have beco stronger, we cannot afford to be careless. Let the Snow Dragon Alliance go ahead and face the music. After all, we did not co here to rescue them. We will observe how the Spiral Mosquitoes fight first. If necessary, I will directly deploy your fleet to the battlefield to end this battle," he said.

Xu Lanzhou was also clear that in the war against the Spiral Mosquitoes, the Iridium Star Fleet would be in an invincible position. However, the outco and extent of the victory were uncertain. Bai Zhongqi's expedition to the Third Universe was with the intention of testing the fleet's strength, with no plans to utilize his Swarm power. Xu Lanzhou, too, yearned to secure a victory as an Iridium Star general.

When Di Maquan led over six thousand Snow Dragon Alliance warships away, the Iridium Star Fleet seed to have fallen asleep, simply remaining at Juhe Star without taking action.

Di Maquan glanced over there and asked his adjutant, "Are you sure you've let Barbaro inform those Iridium Star people of our movents?"

The adjutant nodded in affirmation.

Di Maquan's frown deepened, uncertain, "These Iridium Star people, coming under the banner of dealing with the Spiral Mosquitoes, now seem to have no intention of making a move, and they're also too calm. But if they're thinking of making a move on Juhe Star, they won't succeed, as I've left half of the fleet there, far outnumbering them."

At that mont, Di Maquan still did not consider Iridium Star to be an exceptionally powerful civilization, nor did he see them as on the sa level as Light Valley and the Klaren. Therefore, the alliance's fleet remaining at Juhe Star was more than sufficient to handle the Iridium Star Fleet.

Shaking his head to disperse these distracting thoughts, Di Maquan began to adjust his mindset and prepare for battle against the Spiral Mosquito Civilization. As a general of Light Valley, he knew the pressure he bore. If the Spiral Mosquito Civilization could not be defeated, all civilizations in Sector C would face a trendous calamity.
