A massive Void rift silently split the rose-red sky, appearing as though nothing entered or exited, yet a warship of the Elder Race had already erged from the rift.
When the Void rift closed, there was one more person on the ground.
Bai Zhongqi gracefully walked on this vibrantly colored planet, certain that this was a planet he had never visited or seen before. Previously, he preferred planets similar to Earth. But different types of intelligent life forms adapt to different environnts, so many howorlds of intelligent beings have unique colors.
The texture of the soil on this planet felt sowhat like moist sand, yet Bai Zhongqi could tell there was no quartz in it. Scattered vegetation reminiscent of a desert populated the ground, so growing three to four ters tall like cacti but resembling sea anemones on the ground.
He felt sowhat lonely since, before returning to the Second Universe, he and Zero had luckily found a small, underdeveloped universe where he spent so ti allowing Zero's Swarm to grow. Zero had been upgrading along the way and was now in her third dormant transformation. After this transformation, she would mature into the Swarm Empress, significantly amplifying the might of the Swarm.
Zero was now fusing herself with the Insect Nest, staying inside a ti chamber on Bai Zhongqi's warship. The warship could control the flow of ti inside the chamber; normally, it could take hundreds or thousands of years for a Swarm Empress to evolve, but with Bai Zhongqi, it might just take a few days.
After all, the ti chamber could only speed up or slow down ti, not reverse it to the past. Also, this control was limited, and with Bai Zhongqi's abilities, this was the extent he could manage.
Even without the presence of the Master Star Warrior or the Swarm Empress, Bai Zhongqi didn't feel endangered. He could summon his warship, which he had nad the Iridium Star Ship, stored in the key pendant around his neck at any ti. It could outmatch warships of High Level Civilizations. Furthermore, even if surrounded by a large enemy fleet, Bai Zhongqi could easily tear open the Void and escape, as others simply couldn't deal with him; after all, any matter without special protection would cease to exist upon entering the Void.
In terms of individual combat ability, Bai Zhongqi was now increasingly adept at using the Insect Emperor's Hand, and while he might not reach the level of a Master Star Warrior, becoming a High Level Samurai was no problem for him.
"Why did I travel to this place?" Bai Zhongqi wasn't quite accustod to the atmosphere of this planet; he could roughly discern that the air here had high oxygen and carbon dioxide levels but not much nitrogen, and it also contained three types of gases rare on Earth, making up over a quarter of this planet's atmosphere.
Ordinary humans from Earth couldn't breathe the air on this planet, but Bai Zhongqi was not only genetically enhanced and highly adaptable but also had Star Energy as a fallback.
Bai Zhongqi still couldn't determine which point in ti of the Second Universe he had arrived at; he was following a causal law thread, and if there were unresolved matters, he might return to the past.
"Since I've co here, there must be matters related to to resolve," Bai Zhongqi thought to himself.
So, like an ascetic, Bai Zhongqi began to walk on the ground of this planet. He could have conjured a vehicle for transport, but he wanted to slowly observe this sowhat mystical planet, perhaps to find so clues.
Just then, Bai Zhongqi suddenly stopped and looked in one direction.
From over a gentle hill ca a noisy sound, and he saw a young girl wearing a tight leather jacket and a sowhat tattered red scarf, along with a helt and goggles, riding a hovering motorcycle as she swiftly raced past him.
The young girl originally zood past Bai Zhongqi, who made no move.
But the girl suddenly gritted her teeth, circled around, and stopped beside Bai Zhongqi, shouting, "Mister, run! There are bad guys behind you, you'll get in trouble if you stay here!"
Bai Zhongqi had a clear view of the girl's features. Her face was sowhat round with a few freckles on her cheeks and fairly large, lively, and mischievous eyes. She was missing a canine tooth, which made her look a bit comical. Overall, she gave off a sowhat sloppy and careless impression.
However, Bai Zhongqi didn't understand what she was saying. The girl was speaking a language of the Primate Clan called Jian Tribe language. The Jian Tribe was a low-level Primate Clan civilization in the Galaxy, not particularly powerful, but their language had surpassed their abilities and beco the most used language in the universe.
The reason was simple, as the Jian Tribe language was very straightforward and user-friendly. It was an extrely regular phonetic script with tens of radicals and syllables. For example, all animals would use one radical followed by a sound, and these two combined would define the aning. Action words would also use a radical followed by a sound part, forming another word. There were absolutely no exceptions; every word was created this way.
Because of this strong regularity and its ease of learning, the Primate Clan began to use Jian Tribe language for intercommunication, and later many other races also learned this language, making it very common across the Galaxy.
But Bai Zhongqi did not understand this language.
The girl beca frantic. She saw dust rising in the distance, began pulling Bai Zhongqi, and exclaid, "Mister, are you illiterate? How do you not understand Jian Tribe language when you've co to Kiro Star to seek treasures? Co with quickly!"
However, the girl found that no matter how much she tugged, she could not move him.
Bai Zhongqi felt that this little girl didn't seem to bear him any ill will, otherwise, he would have already thrown her aside. But he absolutely refused to let her drag him away with her.
The little girl was instantly desperate.
Just then, an alien with gills on his face suddenly howled and jumped down from a slow-moving aircraft above, holding a beam gun, shooting at both the little girl and Bai Zhongqi.
"Oh no!" The girl, scared, imdiately jumped off the motorcycle. She was also very clever and decisive, using the motorcycle as a cover to protect herself, and she even reached out to try and pull Bai Zhongqi into cover.
But Bai Zhongqi wouldn't let her pull him under the motorcycle.
With a raise of his left hand, Bai Zhongqi's arm suddenly grew tens of ters, straightforwardly poking at the beam fired by the gilled man, which hit his arm like a squirt from a water gun, having no effect whatsoever.
Bai Zhongqi grabbed the gilled man's forehead with one slap, then pressed down sharply, smashing the gilled man onto the ground.
"What? You're a Star Warrior!" the girl exclaid with great joy.
