Bai Zhongqi was left completely stunned. The Elder Race was nothing like he had imagined—far from the infinitely wise and truth-holding human creators he had pictured. What made it even harder for him to accept was that he himself was a mber of the Elder Race.
Young Bai Zhongqi shrugged helplessly and said, "Actually, everyone gathered here today for a welco party because, after all, you've co to our place and officially beco a mber of the Elder Race. But as you can see, everyone just loves to bicker when they et, and after the quarreling is over, they just go about their own business and probably won't offer you any benefits."
Bai Zhongqi hadn't expected these incredibly peculiar supre beings to provide him any Golden Finger; he asked, "Do you understand my situation?"
Nibbling on his wafer candy, young Bai Zhongqi said, "We roughly know, yes. After all, the birth of a mber of the Elder Race inevitably causes intense ripples of causality across several universes; we can't possibly miss it. Here, we can see the trajectories of the Elder Races that are still growing,"
Bai Zhongqi was shocked, "You can see everything?"
"Yes, you could say that."
Bai Zhongqi felt his scalp tingle and awkward, thinking these people could even see his privacy.
Bai Zhongqi tried to ease the awkwardness, then asked, "What exactly is the Elder Race?"
Young Bai Zhongqi smiled and said, "You might think of it as destiny, but from the mont you were born, vast ripples of causality have revolved around you. In the first half of your life, your task is to follow the path causality has outlined for you; otherwise, neither the First Universe nor the Second Universe could truly exist.
To illustrate, the tilines of the First and Second Universe progress linearly forward, and no beings other than the Elder Race can step into two different rivers of ti. However, because of your arrival, those two universes connected. You were born in the Second Universe; you got Ga and, using the Supre Command, established the Iridium Star United Empire, making it a powerful empire in the galaxies of the First Universe.
Then, the R19 Fleet ca to the Second Universe, and you established Star Alliance there until you were betrayed by your subordinates, entering the First Universe five thousand years ago through the Void. Ah, that's right, anything that enters the Void will be erased from existence, except for the Elder Race and the Crimson Gemstone. Causality drew you into the First Universe five thousand years ago, and then you unified Yimoduoya without realizing it, defeated the dragon groups, united humanity, and ultimately ford the Iridium Star United Empire.
After completing all this, causality will force you out of this universe because you've completed the integrity of the tilines of both universes. You first established Star Alliance, then the Iridium Star United Empire. Your life's crossover between the two universes' tilines is what made the history of both universes linear and cohesive.
This is essentially the situation all Elder Races face; our first half of life must follow this annoying destiny, because if we don't complete it, a logical error occurs in the interconnected universes, and then the universes just collapse, like mismatching puzzle pieces. If these two universes were destroyed, and you hadn't entered our 'elderly activity room' of the Elder Race before completion, you would have perished along with the universes."
Young Bai Zhongqi spoke sentintally, adding at the end, "Your situation is relatively simple. I've seen so unlucky ones tangled by causality across dozens of universes, hopping back and forth like rabbits, and only settling down after a few thousand years. Now, you're basically finished; however, I think you still need to deal with the usurper. That's your personal hobby, and you just need to handle it yourself."
Bai Zhongqi took a long ti to digest this massive amount of information. Apparently, for the universes to maintain continual linear spaceti, they must be walked through by the Elder Race, navigating different ti periods across various universes. Only when these steps are complete do the universes truly stabilize.
Young Bai Zhongqi stroked his chin and said to Bai Zhongqi, "I warn you, don't seek your own death. The progress of the two universes you belong to is now normal. The universe doesn't have the problem of ti travel, so there are no temporal paradoxes. The only ones who can travel through ti are us, the Elder Race. But you shouldn't try to change anything, as that would disrupt the continuity of the universe's spaceti and likely lead to destruction."
Bai Zhongqi shook his head, "I have no idea how to travel through ti."
"Ruins, the mothership of the Elder Race. We bored people like to place them in different universes; if a new mber of the Elder Race finds one, then they can use it to travel through ti. Being able to travel is one thing, but causality will resist your actions. If you do too much, you might be directly torn apart, and causality will stop playing with you. However, synchronizing ti points across universes is not much of a problem."
Young Bai Zhongqi added, "The spaceti of a universe has only past and present; there is no future. This is probably the greatest joy of a life like ours, where ti has no aning, living across different worlds. Because we, too, don't know what the future will be like. Causality drives everything."
Bai Zhongqi nodded, even though all this content was incredibly sensational, his long-standing confusions had been thoroughly resolved.
Becoming part of the Elder Race allowed Bai Zhongqi to understand why his life trajectory had been like this.
"Alright, once you've got a decent understanding, you can leave. I don't want to stay here either, listening to these people argue is truly annoying. You will be increasingly rejected by the First Universe from five thousand years ago, because once your job is done, you should get lost. If you go back to the Second Universe, haha, I don't even know what ti point it would be—it might be when you were expelled, it might be before that, or it could even be in the future."
Confused, Bai Zhongqi asked, "Didn't you just say that the future does not exist?"
The young "Bai Zhongqi" shook his finger and coolly said, "You've been in the First Universe from five thousand years ago, and the ti in the Second Universe didn't pause, it naturally moves forward; the relative ti speeds of the two universes are different. Hey, don't even ntion universes, even planets have different ti speeds. So, it's pretty likely that you will end up in the future, but as to how far, I can't say. If you appear in the past, it only ans your luck is really bad, and you still have so unfinished dirty and tiring tasks to fill in the continuity of space-ti in the Second Universe. But this probability is quite low because you have already co to our elderly activity room."
The youth finally smiled and said, "About that thing, from five thousand years ago on Iridium Star, where the ancestor of a later usurper resides, I think you might have so ideas, like killing him to prevent his descendants from later causing you trouble. I advise you, be smart, causality is not so easily fooled. Since the continuity of space-ti has been fulfilled, no matter what you do, Xiao Yu will appear, and you will be sent to Iridium Star in the First Universe from five thousand years ago."
Bai Zhongqi glanced at the youth, feeling like so of his thoughts had been seen through. But Bai Zhongqi didn't respond or admit to any of his thoughts.
"I have another question, what exactly is the Supre Command? Does every Elder Race have one?"
The youth spread his hands: "How would I know? Anyway, we didn't make that thing, you did. Be alert when you get back, maybe there's sothing you haven't finished, like this issue of the Supre Command. Get to understand it, wipe your ass clean, and then return to the correct ti point in the Second Universe. Whether you prefer revenge or cultivation, it's all up to you."
The youth turned and clumsily climbed over the table as if just a kid.
After flipping to the other side of the table, the youth giggled at Bai Zhongqi a few tis and said, "If you don't do your job well, it's no big deal, at worst your two universes will be destroyed, and you'll be finished, but that won't affect and other jerks at all. Elder Races, one more won't hurt, one less won't matter."
Then he pulled a backpack from under the table, rummaged through it, and pulled out an old Nokia-like cell phone. He made a call and shouted, "Hey, taxi? Co pick up, I'm in a hurry to go ho and do howork."
Bai Zhongqi was utterly confused, looking at the noisy scene in the entire conference room, not knowing how many "Bai Zhongqis" there were: so were reading gossip magazines, so were playing gas, and many more had already vanished, presumably returned to their own universes.
Bai Zhongqi didn't know how to return, but just as he thought about going back, he suddenly snapped back to reality.
When his eyes opened, he was still in the room of the White Jade Pillar, in the Ruins.
"Chancellor, you've woken up!" Ling excitedly rushed over to hug him.
Bai Zhongqi nodded with little energy.
"Chancellor, you've been in a trance for seven days! Outside, the Twelve Knights of Destiny have already started a battle with the dragon hordes."
Bai Zhongqi uttered a sound in response.
Ling seed surprised, as if Bai Zhongqi had lost much interest in the war against the dragon hordes in Yimoduoya.
Bai Zhongqi casually found a place to sit down, seemingly deep in thought. Ling didn't dare to disturb him; she didn't care about what was happening outside, as she was content simply by staying by Bai Zhongqi's side.
After pondering for a while, Bai Zhongqi stood up and paced back and forth. Eventually, he looked towards the White Jade Pillar, holding his key pendant, and once again inserted it into the column.
His eyes brightened, and he thought to himself, "Just as I suspected!"
