The Controllers were unlike any enemy the Maquivina people had encountered before. They were not typical carbon-based life forms, but a group of formless yet substantial energy-based life. They were nearly immune to all forms of physical attack and extrely agile, with a high evasion rate against energy weapons. Of course, the most terrifying aspect of the Controllers was that, after using the Eternal Crystal Stone, they could rapidly reproduce infinitely in the face of the enemy and control human bodies to combat the adversary.
More unluckily, this was the Maquivina's ho star, where they could not employ unconventional weapons of mass destruction to wipe out the Controllers, as it would also result in the annihilation of their own planet and a large number of their fellow Maquivina.
The unprepared Maquivina were swiftly defeated by the Controllers. Not all Maquivinas died on their ho star; half of the Maquivina, upon realizing the hopelessness of their situation, escaped their holand aboard ships.
All the Controllers, enhanced by the Eternal Crystal Stones, illuminated the entire planet, making it glow like a light bulb. The Controllers, lacking much in the way of intellect or scientific knowledge, were instinctive hunters who sought out any beings with soul energy, extracted this energy, and turned these beings into their puppets.
After the Maquivina Star was essentially occupied by the Controllers, over a billion Maquivina on the planet had beco puppets of the Controllers, and the number of Controllers on the planet had grown from one hundred million to four hundred million.
Youtian Chongqing and Tanghuang Yunzhi approached the Controllers with so trepidation, by now aware that the self-proclaid benevolent benefactors were nothing in front of the Controllers.
"Your Excellency, we have completed our mission. May I ask if there are any further instructions?"
The Controller being questioned was controlling several Maquivinas, who were tidying up various materials. So cities had been severely damaged by the fighting, but many of the Maquivina Star's resources had fallen into the hands of the Controllers.
Though the Controller addressed appeared to be a lowly minion, that was not actually the case. Although the Controllers' civilization had a very strict and efficient division of labor, this division was not set in stone. The reason was that the Controllers fundantally lacked much individual variation, to the extent that all Controllers did not actually have individual nas.
Their societal structure was decidedly different from that of humans; they communicated differently and did not need nas as symbols.
In so respects, all Controllers were the sa, as they were a form of collective consciousness life. This didn't an that they were like bees or ants with a queen; rather, while each Controller possessed individual thought, they also ford a vast collective consciousness with all other individuals.
This collective consciousness was not individualized; instead, it comprised all Controllers. Each Controller was part of the collective, and the absence of one or two Controllers would not alter the collective consciousness.
In terms of social division, the collective consciousness would direct each Controller to engage in a task. There was no hierarchy or distinction in terms of dignity among Controllers; all were subjects fulfilling the intents of the collective consciousness. They were both the collective consciousness and subject to its rule.
Thus, the two benefactors seed to be communicating with a lowly minion, but in reality, they were conversing directly with the collective consciousness of the Controllers.
The Controller, manipulating a Maquivina, said in the Maquivina language, "Maquivina Star has been successfully conquered, and we have acquired all the Maquivina's important technologies. Among them, the most crucial is cross-space energy transmission, which for the Controllers is a ga-changing technology."
Chongqing You and Yun Zhi exchanged glances, both could see the astonishnt in each other's eyes.
"Your Excellency, shall we then launch a direct attack on Taoran Star?"
The puppet controlled by the Controllers shook its head and said, "No, just like when we defeated the Maquivena Civilization, we will obliterate the Earth Civilization's ho planet, Earth."
Chongqing You wasn't surprised by this answer. The Eternal Crystal Stone had been proven to be of utmost importance to the Controllers, which was exactly why they had to defeat the Earthlings and take back Taoran Star. However, starting from the past, the Controllers had never landed on planets producing Eternal Crystal Stone; they always sent Benefactors to do it. Chongqing You speculated that the Controllers must have so reason for not being able to land on Taoran Star.
This Controller continued to address the Benefactor, "The Controllers will directly take down Earth; the Benefactor will not be of much help in this operation. Nevertheless, you and the Teizene can engage in battle at the outskirts of the Star Alliance, to distract the Star Alliance's military forces."
Chongqing You nodded in acceptance of the orders. Now, they were placing themselves very low, seemingly as vassals to the Controllers, not at all as allies.
"Your Excellency, the Teizene side is still rather dissatisfied with the distribution of benefits after this war. They still don't want to easily disclose Earth's coordinates to us and hope to utilize our strength to capture the Danlu Interstellar Cloud, and in exchange, are willing to grant us the benefits of the local Bubble Star Region and Xunyi Star Zone."
The embodint of light of the Controller flickered, and Chongqing You guessed that this ant the Controller was very unhappy. As expected, the Controller said, "Have the Great Emperor of Teizene hand over the Earth's coordinates by tomorrow. If not, the Controllers wouldn't mind reducing the Three Great Enslavers to Two Great Enslavers."
The Benefactor now understood that the notion of the Three Great Enslavers was nothing but a joke—the Controller and the other Benefactors were not on the sa level. The Teizene might go on a killing spree in the Box Star Territory and even have so fa in the Galaxy, but truly facing the Controller—this terrifying Demon Lord—they would surely die miserably.
Chongqing You imdiately responded, "We will urge the Teizene side to comply with the Controller's wishes imdiately."
The Controller added, "They can take the Danlu Interstellar Cloud if they want, but the Danlu Interstellar Cloud cannot be kept secret from allies. The Controllers need to know how to enter for operational purposes."
Clearly, what the Controllers truly desired was the Eternal Crystal Stone, located on Taoran Star outside the Danlu Interstellar Cloud. Whom the Danlu Interstellar Cloud was given to didn't interest the Controllers.
The Benefactor had so cunning plans of their own, preparing to pressure the lizard-like Teizene with the Controller, given that the strategic value of the Danlu Interstellar Cloud was still very high.
"Very well, Your Excellency, I will heed your wishes. The Benefactor and Teizene Fleets have already begun to assemble, and within three weeks, we will be able to reach the Xunyi Star Zone and comnce combat."
The Controller said, "That's too slow. We have obtained ships from the Maquivina people that can fly at 4500 tis light speed. Use these ships to create a Warp Bubble to bring your ships over. Within five days, your Warships must open fire on the Star Alliance."
