The Hunting Group headed for the Shelter 101, where Bai Zhongqi and others' two-wheeled vehicles matched the speed of Bu's motorcycles, which Bu and Bang found astonishing. Especially when they saw Bai Zhongqi press so button on the third vehicle, the two-wheeler transford super coolly into a cubic form, extrely portable.

Although Hu was silent at the beginning, he still spoke up during the journey, "You're from Tuoluo Shan Country, aren't you?"

Bu had heard from Bai Zhongqi that Hu was also from Taoran Star and didn't pay much attention to it.

"Tuoluo Shan Country has already perished; if anything, my great-grandfather was from Tuoluo Shan, he managed to survive five or six years after the nuclear war, and finally died of radiation. My grandfather only lived to be twenty-six, barely managed to have my father, who was a bit luckier, living to thirty-three and had several children. Only two survived, my father and Bang's father. My grandfather did tell my father a bit about Tuoluo Shan, and my father passed so of that on to , but now I can hardly rember any of it," said Bai Zhongqi.

Hu's expression turned sowhat lancholic as he spoke softly, "I didn't expect that Tuoluo Shan, once a great nation adored by myriad people, would end up with so few legends passed down."

Bu explained, "So Shelters preserve so historical books from the Tuoluo Shan period, but such things are no longer the most crucial for the people of this era to survive. Moreover, Shelter managers wouldn't leak unnecessary information to common residents; knowledge has beco a privilege of the ruling class."

Bai Zhongqi found this conversation interesting; from what Bu implied, in the Shelters of Taoran Star, there existed a class system. Moreover, history had beco knowledge associated with class privilege, and ordinary people were no longer allowed to learn it, so people like Bu only knew a little bit about Tuoluo Shan. They had no knowledge of what happened over the thousands of years.

Bai Zhongqi also noticed that when Bu ntioned the ruling class, there was a flicker in his eyes and a twitch at the corner of his mouth, indicating that the leader of this Hunting Group was very dissatisfied with the powers that be in the Shelter.

Bai Zhongqi even speculated that Bu might hope to get help from the Earth people of Iridium Star to take power in this Shelter.

As they were about to arrive, Bai Zhongqi and the others saw a large flock of dog-headed bats flying across the sky. Bai Zhongqi asked Bu, "What are these creatures?"

Bu, looking at the swarm of dog-headed bats, said, "These are the rulers of the sky, Flying Gnawers, and also the only flying creatures left on the planet. Years ago, there were other flying animals in the sky, but gradually they were all exterminated by the Flying Gnawers. Flying Gnawers are not particularly vicious, but they are very aggressive towards anything that can fly, insisting on knocking them to the ground before they stop. Actually, Flying Gnawers don't attack humans; their main prey are so small rodents and fish species."

Bai Zhongqi nodded, having already guessed the situation roughly.

Nan Ma, on the other hand, thought Taoran Star, filled with radiation-induced genetically mutated creatures, would be perfect for a survival reality show. Previously, Flashpoint Company had tead up with Bear Grylls, who was at the top of the food chain on Earth and could even compete with the people of Teizene, to film in the Legendary Continent of Erald Sea Star. The show was very popular, and surviving on Taoran Star was evidently more dangerous.

"So, are there any other dangerous creatures to be aware of in this grassland?" Nan Ma asked.

Bu explained, "The grassland may look calm, but it's actually full of dangers. The grassland giants we hunt this ti are one such danger; they hide underground and attack almost anything that passes overhead, like humans. There are quite a few grassland giants, and they're big, so an ordinary person has a hard ti dealing with them alone. Other threats include the Ghost Wolves which are pack animals mutated from the radiation. Each might not be as formidable as a hunting dog but is still quite dangerous when in packs. Of course, the worst are the Stiff Ghosts."

At the ntion of Stiff Ghosts, Bai Zhongqi noticed a sense of unease appeared on the faces of the other mbers of the Hunting Group.

Nan Ma continued to inquire, "What are Stiff Ghosts?"

Bu sighed, "Stiff Ghosts were originally human, but they were exposed to radiation too long, leading to radiation sickness. However, the radiation sickness didn't entirely claim their lives, instead, it destroyed their body structures, caused their skin and muscles to rot, emitting a foul stench and toxicity. They could very likely infect other healthy individuals and turn them into ghastly creatures like themselves. These people start losing their sanity, even harboring a strong desire to attack others. Once such individuals appear in the Shelter, they're driven out. Then, these individuals roam alone or in groups outside, with the radiation making their bodies as horrendous as corpses, but often they also gain so special abilities, and their strength becos greater than that of humans. They hate humans and attack other human beings on the grasslands. Thus, these beings are called Stiff Ghosts."

At this point, Bang also added, "The radiation on the ground is no longer as deadly; we've been able to move around on the surface freely these years, just like the ancients. The surface has wind and sunlight, which is much more comfortable, but it's also dangerous. The people inside the Shelter are used to the safety of underground life, even giant creatures can't penetrate the thick steel-reinforced concrete and compound Armor that fortify the Shelter's walls. No one wants to venture above ground."

Bu also sighed, "I've heard from so nomadic Hunting Groups that so Shelters have tried to establish settlents on the surface, but without exception, they have all failed. The mutants are too nurous and strong, and the number of Stiff Ghosts keeps rising, as does their animosity towards humans. They raid any human settlent on the surface and turn everyone inside into monsters like themselves."

At this, Bu also fell silent. They were all born to live underground, but each one of them had a natural longing for the surface and the sunlight.

Bai Zhongqi felt so sympathy for them, even feeling the impulse to help the people of this planet out of trouble. Hu, on the other hand, seed much more indifferent; he had beco distracted after hearing that Tuoluo Shan was no longer well-rembered. They walked, and he simply followed the group.

This operation was originally his idea, but at this point, it was Bai Zhongqi himself who seed more keen on it.

Finally, the group reached the outskirts of Shelter 101. It was built amidst a hill filled with chaotic boulders on the grasslands, with the entrance constructed at the foot of a small hill.
