Exploring a star sector is not quite the sa as navigating with a clear objective. A reconnaissance spacecraft tasked with exploration will often drop out of warp speed because their mission is not just to explore planets. For peculiar astronomical phenona or even unusual signals, exploratory vessels will make stops. Frequently, ships intentionally exit warp speed in the most desolate of areas to carry out a series of detection operations.

Such exploration missions are tedious, complicated, and can potentially involve certain risks, and soone of Bai Zhongqi's stature would not typically be expected to undertake them. However, Bai Zhongqi had a strong interest in pioneering unfamiliar space. This vast, magnificent, and mysterious universe—how many treasures and adventures are still waiting for humans to discover?

About 8 light-years from Lingge Star, there is an unnad star system that is not even docunted in the star atlas almanac of the Galactic High Governance Council. Not even a body like the Galactic High Governance Council has the resources to na each of the 200 billion stellar objects in our galaxy, especially those remote and lifeless places.

The universe is always loneso, it only gains a trace of aning in the monts it is perceived by life.

When naming on the star map, the Star Alliance adopts more of its own customary thods, that is, the thods of Earthlings. This is particularly the case with constellation sequencing, which is entirely based on positions observed from Earth, with an added comparison of relative luminance. For aliens, this thod is basically aningless.

The Star Alliance did not adopt the naming conventions of the Galactic Council for the local star region but instead nad it the local Bubble Star Region. The Loop-I-Bubble star region, in turn, was officially called the Xunyi Star Zone.

The Sacred Falcon exited warp speed on the periphery of a dazzling nebula. The dreamy, variegated colors firmly captured the eyes of the Earth-bound Chancellor, a beauty comparable to the most splendid in the galaxy, inspiring longing and wonder.

Humans from Earth had once captured photographs of celestial spectacles like the Pillars of Creation and the Eye of God, their beauty astounding. But to be stationed alongside a nebula offered a view even more awe-inspiring.

Shades of dark red churned, the motion of the material was slow, but in Bai Zhongqi's eyes, these substances were constantly forming images that existed on Earth. At tis they resembled a circling eagle, at others like waves crashing against the shore, sotis as a maiden in the flush of youth, and at other tis like mountains competing in height.

"Beautiful things, yet they are laced with poison. That nebula contains strong magnetic field interference. The interference is so potent that even our own energy shields cannot block it. If we get too close, most of our electronic equipnt could be greatly affected, and might even damage other systems on our vessel," he said.

Linggazed at that expanse of nebula with equal amazent. Since becoming a true life form, she had moved from simply viewing things to appreciating them. All bionic humans possess so form of emotional simulation and are able to analyze art and visual effects, but they only analyze from a technical standpoint and cannot truly feel the emotional power behind images or music.

Now, Lingcould feel this, it was a door she did not even know existed before.

Bai Zhongqi looked out into space from the ship, suddenly pointed to a spot, and asked, "You say there is great danger in the nebula, so what the hell is that ship doing, heading straight into it?"

Lingpaused for a mont, quickly noticing the vessel Bai Zhongqi was pointing at, a spacecraft of modest size, heading towards the nebula.

"No, that ship hasn't started any engines, and it isn't broadcasting any signals to the outside world either," Lingimdiately said.

Bai Zhongqi was sowhat puzzled and said, "If the engine isn't running and there's no signal, is it a ghost ship?"

It's common knowledge in the universe that a spaceship doesn't always need its engine running to move. In the near-vacuum of space, ships need propulsion to accelerate, but they can maintain a steady speed without assistance. A spaceship will continue at a constant velocity. For all interstellar civilizations that have broken the speed of light, such a way of traveling seems fuel-efficient, but the slow speed makes it impractical as it's unknown how long it would take to reach the destination.

And for any space warship, it's not easy to just turn off their propulsion engines. Starting and stopping engines take ti, and space warships need to maintain high maneuverability. So even if they don't need to travel quickly, they wouldn't shut down their engines.

"It doesn't look like a warship. It actually resembles the space shuttles from Earth, just much larger. Judging from its construction, this ship seems to co from a less advanced civilization," Bai Zhongqi analyzed briefly.

Ling attempted to hail the ship speeding toward the nebula on a public channel but got no response.

"Maybe it really is a ghost ship, with no one left on board," Ling couldn't help but speculate.

Thinking it over, Bai Zhongqi said, "Regardless of whether there are people on it or not, we need to go check it out." Continue your adventure at My Virtual Library Empire

Ling was alard, "Your Highness, you want to board that ship? No, it's too dangerous."

Bai Zhongqi chuckled lightly, "I'm not reckless, but there is another way I can get on that ship."

Soon, Ling saw a bionic human who looked seventy percent similar to Bai Zhongqi, dressed in the Chancellor's custom Individual Armor.

"This is..."

Bai Zhongqi smiled and said, "There are many things I want to try, but I'm too cautious and reality does not allow it. So, I've created this body. This is an 'Agent' warrior made from our strongest bionic cells and chanical tissues. With a highly integrated condensed energy core, I've even fitted this Agent with an energy light beam emitter, heh. In terms of physical strength, it's more than twenty tis that of an ordinary person from Iridium Star, able to survive in extrely harsh environnts, including outer space. The Agent uses a Deep Sleep System for consciousness connection. This was the most challenging part since there is no reality in the dreams of deep sleep, but when using the Agent, it requires a feedback of real sensations to the consciousness. It took so ti, but the results are very good. With this, we can turn humans with tactical knowledge but poor physical conditions into the most terrifying war machines."

Ling pursed his lips and said, "Is this thing the sa as the Terminator? I admit it might serve so elite warriors well, but if ordinary folks use this, I doubt they could utilize much of its power. Besides, just from your description, it seems quite troubleso to make. Would mass-producing these Agents or creating a larger quantity of bionics with AI be more cost-effective?"

Bai Zhongqi waved his hand slightly awkwardly and said, "Let's not talk about the cost-effectiveness. It's used in different fields, after all."
