At this mont, within the Lingxiao Palace, Bai Zhongqi had invited Mo Laitong, Linyin, as well as Xu Lanzhou and Du Peng, among others, to watch the major discovery beneath the surface of Mars together.
Tens of Dragonfly Drones were ticulously conducting a comprehensive scan of the Sky-Piercing Pyramid; even they, who had seen many cosmic wonders, were astounded by this discovery.
Engraved on the side of the pyramid, like seals, were countless symbols. Upon seeing these symbols clearly, Linyin's expression changed dramatically, she exclaid, "It's the script of the Elder Race!"
Bai Zhongqi was also extrely astonished. The term "Elder Race" was still relatively new to him, but he was clear enough about the force and history represented by these four words.
As the most nurous intelligent life in the Galaxy, if not the Universe, the Primate Clan or the Human Race is believed to generally originate from a distant ancestor, just as Earth's humankind is considered to have all descended from specific groups in Africa.
While the Primate Clan thrived and evolved on various planets across the Galaxy, becoming groups with the sa genetic fragnts but many different characteristics, the people of Iridium Star believed that this common distant ancestor that created countless primate humans, was the so-called Elder Race.
There is plenty of evidence in the cosmic archaeology of Iridium Star, both direct and indirect, that points to a Galaxy that has existed for over ten billion years, with two periods of civilization flourishing and two periods of decline, mirroring Earth's geological eras.
The Elder Race lived during the first prosperous period of civilization in the Galaxy, and were also recognized by the people of Iridium Star as the only civilization that once completely ruled the entire Galaxy (of course, the Galaxy wasn't as vast at that ti).
The first prosperous period of civilization, also known as the Remote Ancient Universe by the people of Iridium Star, occurred approximately forty billion years after the birth of the Universe and likely represented the first wave of intelligent life to erge. Iridium Star had no knowledge of how the Remote Ancient Universe fell.
What followed was a long period known as the Dark Universe, which is widely believed to have seen only a handful of civilizations in the Galaxy, with a severe decline in the level of civilization.
It was not until around 3 billion years ago that the second period of civilization flourished, known as the Ancient Universe. During this period, many powerful civilizations erged, and the Galaxy experienced a turbulent power struggle where more intelligent races erged and developed a variety of unique civilizations, many of which left traces that survive to this day.
The destruction of the Ancient Universe was known to the people of Iridium Star, caused by prolonged wars and so civilizations possessing weapons that were too powerful, along with the invasion of mysterious beings from beyond the Galaxy, leading to the weakening or downfall of nearly all the civilizations of the Ancient Universe.
It was rumored that so civilizations had mastered the power to manipulate dinsions and escaped to other universes, but this could not be confird.
What could be confird was that after the Ancient Universe, a war-ravaged Galaxy once again entered a dark age, historically known as the Primordial Universe.
After more than three billion years of destruction and rebirth, the Galaxy once again welcod a prosperous era of civilization, with a plethora of powerful civilizations erging, but no civilization ever reached the heights of those in the Ancient Universe.
Erging civilizations like Iridium Star, which were not a continuation of the civilizations from the Ancient Universe but self-evolved, were not in short supply. Yet, the remnants of the Ancient Universe civilizations, or the vassals of the strong civilizations of that ti, even if they had only received so trivial things at the beginning, have now beco formidable civilizations themselves.
The people of Iridium Star naturally heard of a type of civilization that called themselves "Observers of the Galaxy," with a civilization history of millions of years considered relatively young. They did not interact lightly with erging civilizations and were even hard to find. But if one foolishly engaged in war with them, destruction was certain to be one's own fate.
Bai Zhongqi had previously thought that all this was rely part of a ga setting. In the ga, he had excavated the archaeological ruins of the Elder Race, and he had even engaged in diplomacy with the Envoy Ships of the Galaxy Observers. But Bai Zhongqi had never imagined that the Elder Race would actually appear in the real world.
"Could it be that the ga I've been playing isn't just a ga world, but a real parallel universe? Are the things in the First Galaxy actually the sa as those in the Second Galaxy?" Bai Zhongqi couldn't help but tremble at the thought, these, of course, were not to be shared with Xu Lanzhou and the others.
He had considered this possibility, but the thought of a ga he controlled connecting to a real universe was even more chilling than the scenario of fleets traversing in a ga.
No one knew what Bai Zhongqi was thinking at this mont. Linyin's beautiful eyes were filled with light as she concentrated on the symbols on the Sky-Piercing Pyramid. She said, "The academic community has always been divided, believing that these symbols are not the script of the Elder Race at all, but a technology itself.
Each symbol represents a segnt of information that could be countless zettabytes in size. Our scholars have spent three thousand years deciphering only about ten symbols through rough guessing. Several of the successfully decoded symbols have even advanced the technology of Iridium Star."
Mo Laitong's face was filled with solemnity as he said, "The two-stage Warp Engine we have successfully developed was obtained through the deciphering of the inherited symbols of the Elder Race. But in deciphering these things, we have been purely guessing.
If we guessed correctly and applied it sowhere, even if it was successful, we ourselves wouldn't know if that was the original intent of the Elder Race. Even though we use powerful computing and exhaustive thods, without the creative thinking and connection thods of personnel, we wouldn't achieve any results."
Linyin's beautiful eyes were full of excitent, and she even broke protocol sowhat by seizing Bai Zhongqi's arm as she excitedly said, "The United Empire had previously only acquired 131 symbols of the Elder Race, the majority of which were considered indecipherable. In three thousand years, we managed to decipher ten.
Your Majesty, and now we have discovered a gigantic pyramid hundreds of kiloters high, with inherited symbols on each level. Even if there are repeated ones, the value of just this Sky-Piercing Pyramid alone is imasurable!"
Compared to Linyin's excitent, Bai Zhongqi appeared more composed. This gave the others a profound sense of his unfathomable nature.
Xu Lanzhou then said, "It seems that there is a significant connection between the First Universe and the Second Universe. Perhaps the Elder Race, like us, ca from the First Universe to the Second. If we can obtain sothing useful here, it may help us return to the First Universe."
The Universe Army's valiant female Commander watched Bai Zhongqi's retreating back with bright eyes, her voice tinged with excitent as she said, "The entire United Empire will welco the return of the Chancellor, Your Majesty!"
