The governor’s building really wasn’t that far away anymore.

Destruction at this place had reduced quite considerably, and it was due to the berserk act of Julian a few minutes ago.

By the looks of it, the surviving spaceship (battle ship) probably would have gone to the others and told them about Julian.

Julian was certain the commander of the opposition would be planning to get him at this point.

He was ready for them, by the way. He wasn’t afraid one bit.

"You guys still have any spare weapons remaining?" Julian asked the soldiers.

"Yes, we do. In this goddamn galaxy, we’re in the top four planets with weapons, and that really is so achievent considering that there are many planets here."

Julian kicked a pile of debris in front of him and looked at a towering building, which he was sure would collapse at any given mont.

"Where is it stored?" he asked the soldier.

"Well, it’s stored inside a building but underneath, and it’s governed by a pretty lady who is the head of all weapons."

Julian seed to have gained their trust for them to divulge such information to him.

They ought to, by the way, he concluded. Not when he proved to be a demigod so minutes ago and singlehandedly took on a horde of well-equipped soldiers.

It wasn’t sothing you see every day.

’Pretty?’ Julian thought.

Why did the soldiers use the word ’pretty’? Or was she so stunningly beautiful they had to put it in her na?

He decided to ask cautiously, not to trigger any false reaction from Rehul. It was not that he promised her anything, or that he loved her so dearly, but he was just the type that was never to disappoint.

And moreover, she wasn’t Luiin, so he didn’t quite give a fuck anyway.

"Why do you say she’s pretty?" he asked the soldier.

The soldiers exchanged glances, almost laughing.

"Damn, you should see her. She’s as pretty as hell!" the soldier said. "I’ve always asked her out, but she has always turned down on any occasion."

The soldiers laughed like all hell had been let loose.

"Not only , but all of us. And it’s not that she’s as large-assed or breasted as the lady with you. Hell no! Instead, she’s got a breast one could cup in one’s hands. With all my fantasizing about her, I imagined it to get soft and supple..."

Julian grinned under his helt. This was getting so cringe. He looked at Rehul. She was smiling—not necessarily about the description of the lady’s body, but just how silly the guard looked saying it.

"And have you seen her bum? Damn!" the soldier continued. "I an, I haven’t seen it raw, but by the looks of it under the clothing—the way it twitches with each step and turns—damn!"

Julian grinned again under his helt. By the way they were describing her, he knew she wouldn’t be large-assed and large-breasted as Hurijaa and Rehul were.

He could picture Luiin, but with the descriptions, he yet again concluded that she wouldn’t be as immature in shapes as Rehul was.

He concluded that she would be curvy and very sexy.

So far, he had just two won. Perhaps this wouldn’t be a bad addition.

"But she’s a rejecting type. By the looks of it, she seems not to like talking to n. She only does when it’s important. She doesn’t like won either, and she likes to be alone."

Julian’s hopes towards her were suddenly watered down.

Soone like this would be as tough to get as wanting to kiss the sun.

"She had a tough ti growing up. Lost both parents to an invasion back then, which we won. The governor then, finding her too cute to abandon, brought her in, and as she grew, she trained. And now, she’s the head of all weapons."

Julian didn’t say anything so as not to arouse suspicion that he wanted anything with her.

At this point, he didn’t even want to. Rehul and Hurijaa had been the ones that wanted him, but with the lady, it might be vice versa, and it would take ti.

Taking ti in the sense that he would have to assure he wasn’t the bad type, that he was affectionate and caring and reliable. That he wasn’t like other n. It would take so ti to gain trust also.

That was if the lady in question wanted to fall in love, which he doubted.

Well, right now, that wasn’t his focus. His focus was on eting the governor and ruling this damn planet.

But before that, he would have to engage in a big fight. A very big fight, actually. A planet-destructing type of fight.

They turned right and were now facing a large expanse of land. All the buildings standing as a wall by the sides had all been fallen. Reduced to debris (my apologies for using this word a lot in recent Chapters.)

The ground littered with bullets...

The soldiers in ch opened their eyes wide in shock. Julian looked at them, not understanding why they were doing so.

"What’s wrong?" he finally asked.

"I thought they wouldn’t get here!" the soldier who had been talking all along about the weapon-governor lady said.

"If so then..."

They heard the firing of bullets.

Loud!

Shooting through glances, through flesh.

The soldier shouted.

"They’re after the governor. They are after the gov—"

Windows shattered, tals fell. Bullets reeled through the building.

It was a really cool building, by the way. Giving this ’high power’ vibe.

The building stood like a stubborn block of steel at the far end of the large expanse of land. It wasn’t tall or showy like the skyscrapers from the city—it was wide, low, and built like a bunker. Panels of scorched tal ran across its walls, so cracked, others still holding their form. A few of the panels blinked with dying lights, hanging onto whatever power source was still left.

The front was broad, scarred from attacks, with the remains of defense drones still stuck to the outer walls. Parts of the structure looked recently hit—one side was partially caved in, with smoke trailing from the impact. Three towers curved at the back like watchpoints, each one humming faintly from their power cores.

The entrance gate had been blown inward. Wires stuck out like lifeless veins, and parts of the security grid were still active—flashing dim red, barely responding. As it seed, all of the soldiers were inside, and as bullets rattled and fell with clattering sounds inside, it was very well certain that it was under attack.

Above the doorway, the Drayyors emblem was half-lted into the building’s surface, stained with soot. It looked like the place had been through hell and just refused to fall, but as it seed, it was likely it would.

Julian was very well alerted. He imdiately summoned the ch rifle and then costral blade, gripping it tight like his life depended on it in a way.

"Where’s the governor!" they heard a voice.

"Find the damn governor! Find the fuckin’ governor!"

They heard loud footsteps.

Julian looked around, gripping his sword very tightly.

"They want to kill the governor. They want to kill the governor!"

The soldiers around him shouted.

Julian was surprised. Didn’t they call him a weakling? That he was weak to be a governor?

Why were they suddenly worried about his well-being?

Perhaps he was being too ruthless. He seed not to value life so much.

Xea must have read his thoughts through his expression, and he said:

’[Wondering anything.]’

"Yes," Julian said, very inaudibly that he was sure no one would hear.

’[Well, it’s this planet’s tradition. It’s a brutal one, actually. Whenever they want to fully conquer a planet, as a sign, they cut off the governor’s head, thrust a sword into it, and take it to their planet. Even though they don’t actually destroy your planet. That is a sign that they won. Not many planets have this been done to. Even the weakest avoid it. And now, the soldiers might consider their governor a weakling, but they don’t exactly want his head thrust into a sword taken back to their planet.]’

Julian was genuinely surprised. Then if that was the case, why didn’t the opposition want to fight them instead first, and after they win, they can do whatsoever? Why do they want to take the shortcut, going behind to take the governor’s head off without facing him?

Julian squinted his eyes under his helt. It seed they were afraid of him?

"Where are the rest of the soldiers?" Julian asked.

"Seems they are still fighting in the battlefield."

Julian gritted his teeth.

Just when he was about to co up with a plan, he saw the opposition throwing, forcefully, dead and bloody bodies of soldiers.

Julian shook his head. He had to co to a decision.

"Four of you should follow inside. The rest should look for the other soldiers!"

The real war was just beginning...
