Xic looked at Fu Yan's cold face and started to wave his tentacles rapidly as if he was anxious.
"Sir! I don't know anything about it. This planet of mine is uninhabited and no one lives there."
Fu Yan shook his head and brought the transparent screen towards Xic.
"Then how are you going to explain this." Fu Yan asked while pointing at the screen which was playing the scene where Lizards had fired on the Collector and the barrel was still emitting smoke.
"I don't care whether it was done by you or not. All I want is an explanation as to why my property was attacked."
Xic looked at the screen and when he saw that it was the Lizards who attacked the Collector, the anxious waving of his tentacles slowed down.
"Sir! If these people are the ones who attacked your worker then I can explain." Xic said in a calm tone while pointing at the Lizards on the screen. Then he started to explain.
"Sir these Lizards are pirates and from what I understand when they saw that the planet was not habited, they might have created their base on it and, when your worker tried to collect the energy from my planet, they attacked him to destroy any evidence. If I am correct then there should be a bounty on their head. Please forgive for not investigating the planet beforehand. I will imdiately go there and kill them myself."
Fu Yan calmly listened to Xic and after hearing what he said, Fu Yan found it reasonable. First, there was no rit in Xic attacking the Collector and Second was that Xic knew about the power of the Library so he wouldn't dare to attack anyone from the Library even in his dream.
"Well, there is no need for you to go and destroy them now. They have been disintegrated by the Collector. But that does not an you can go without any consequences. Since it was your fault for not preparing the optimal environnt for the Collector to work."
Xic again started to wave his tentacles anxiously upon hearing this. He looked at the screen which was playing the scene of Lizards being disintegrated by the ball of light and said.
"Sir I know it's my fault and I am ready for the punishnt."
Fu Yan smiled and replied.
"Well don't be nervous. We like to do fair business and, since it was not directly your fault, the punishnt is very light."
Xic looked at Fu Yan and asked in a dispirited tone.
"Then what will it be, Sir. Though I said that I am ready for any punishnt, please consider that we urgently need this engine. The prosperity of our race depends on it!t."
Fu Yan looked at the Xic who looked at him dejectedly and said in a calm tone.
"Ok, your punishnt is that the period for which you can keep the book will be reduced by 10 years. I have only canceled the bonus, so it won't affect you much. Again, though it was not your fault, rules are rules."
"No sir, I am ok with this punishnt. Thanks for being lenient on ." Xic said in a happy tone.
Fu Yan smiled and pointed at the book.
"Ok, you can take the book now. Rember to return it within the ti limit, or else we have to co and collect it ourselves, and you might have to pay the sa amount of energy as you would for a late fee."
Upon hearing this, Xic imdiately took the book as if he delayed anymore it would vanish. He turned towards Fu Yan and thanked him again. After that, he started to walk towards the teleportation portal.
This portal was different from the portal that the workers and Fu Yan use. This one could only transport the person holding the badge to a fixed position and, if they wanted to co to the Library, they had to co to that position to be teleported.
After reaching the portal, Xic waved his hand towards Fu Yan and gave a bow, then a pale white light shined and he was teleported away.
Fu Yan watched him being teleported and then prepared to return to Earth as well. But, before going back, he called Casper and gave him so instructions about the Library as well as picking up a book on the developnt of a file transfer system.
This was a cloud-based system and was closely related to the projects that he had done before.
Though there were many technologies available in the Library that could revolutionize the Earth's technology by decades and bring his company to the zenith, but he refrained from doing so.
He knew that a building without a strong base would collapse easily and his foundation was not that strong yet.
He planned to do everything step by step and lay the foundation as solid as he could. The reason why he was releasing technologies related to each other was that he wanted to give the impression that his company has managed to develop a very strong algorithm regarding the cloud-base system and these technologies were just extensions of it.
He knew that the mont he showed any weakness the hungry beasts in the tech industry would devour him in a second. He was not going to give them a chance and, for his future on earth, most important his future in the Library was depending on it.
Right now he was only focusing on software technology which did not require much investnt and power, so he was able to develop it easily, but when he was going to enter other fields, he was going to need a huge amount of money and workforce, and for that, he needed to be strong and have power on earth.
He picked up the book and returned to his house. After going back to Earth, he went towards his study room and saw that Qing was still gathering data and sorting them out. He checked the ti, it was 8:16 pm. Only 2 hours and 19 minutes had passed from when he went to the Library.
He checked the sorted material to see if there was any problem with it but everything looked normal.
After glancing at it, he went towards the bedroom to rest. The room was still in ssy shape with walls and furniture destroyed. He sighed and took out his phone to call Fei Hong but, after thinking for a bit, he decided to look for the new house himself.
"I can buy a new house, but what about the money. Looks like I have to call Fei Hong after all."
He dialed her phone number and after ringing for a while, the call connected.
"Fu Yan, how are you? Do you need anything?" Fei Hong asked the mont the call got connected. It looks like she understood that Fu Yan won't call unless he needed sothing.
He coughed embarrassingly and replied.
"Well, I am going to buy a new house and noticed that I don't have that much money in my account."
Fei Hong imdiately replied when she heard this.
"Ok, I will ask the finance departnt to transfer money to your account imdiately. "
When he heard this, Fu Yan hastily said.
"No, don't transfer it to my account. Transfer it to the offshore accounts. Rember to pay the local tax, I don't want it to beco a problem later. After you transfer it, give a call. I will handle the rest."
Fei hong on the other end of the call nodded and asked.
"Ok, I will do it this way. So how much would you like to transfer? We have $148 million in our company account."
"Then transfer $30 million to the account. Though it's going to strain the budget a bit there is going to be a big deal in the coming days so there won't be a problem." Fu Yan said after thinking for a while.
"Sure. I will call the Finance Departnt to imdiately start the procedure." Fei Hong replied.
Fu Yan nodded when he heard this and said.
"Very well. By the way, have there been any movents from Google's side?"
"No, there was no contact from their side in any form." Fei Hong imdiately replied.
Upon hearing this Fu Yan went silent for a while and then said in a calm voice.
"Well, don't worry about it. If my analysis is correct then they will contact us in 1 or 3 days. Anyhow, call if anything happens."
"Ok, I will." Fei Hong replied and disconnected the call.
Fu Yan laid down on his bed and started to think, after a while, he sighed.
"Let's deal with it when the ti cos. There's no point in worrying about it now."
