When Fu Yan said this, the air suddenly turned cold. Fu Yan's expression was ice-cold but his posture was more relaxed because he knew that the mont anyone fired, the defense chanism of the suit would be activated and that person would die without him doing anything.
Though he was in enemy territory, he did not care because he was the Librarian and even if he was to kill them all, no one could hold him accountable.
These thoughts flashed through his mind for a while, then suddenly, as if he woke up from a trance, Fu Yan sighed.
"Was I just thinking about killing them all? When did I beco this cold-blooded? I need to control myself or else I won't be myself." Fu Yan thought as he looked at the roof of the city colored blue like the sky. He would not believe that he was inside of a tree if had not entered through the tunnel.
As he was wondering how to handle this situation, the door on that giant pillar suddenly opened, and he saw a person with golden armor coming out. After that, many other people in golden armor followed him.
It took them more than five minutes before all of them ca out, and they assembled themselves in the formation at the orders of a guy who obviously looked like a commander.
Fu Yan looked around and saw that all the other soldiers and people were looking at these gold-armored soldiers with awe and respect. Even the ones pointing their guns at him had lowered them and straightened themselves.
While he was wondering what all this was about, one of the golden-armored soldiers stepped forward and gave a salute to Fu Yan with one of his hands on his chest.
"Respected guest, I am the captain of the royal guards, Yslian. I apologize on behalf of the Queen that she was not able to co down to welco you herself. I hope that you will forgive for being late."
When Yslian said this, Fu Yan could see that everyone had an expression filled with awe and amazent. It was as if they could not believe what they heard. He just glanced around for a second and then shifted his attention towards Yslian.
Then he gave a slight nod. It's not that he wants to be welcod like a state guest and that the Queen should co personally to welco him.
"It's not a problem. I know it would be hard for her to co here given I ca suddenly, so no worries."
Yslian gave a deep bow when he heard this and replied with a firm but thankful tone.
"Sir, I am grateful to you for your understanding. I have seen what happened as I ca down, so as for these ignorant n, I will deal with them personally. I hope that Sir won't mind."
Fu Yan shook his head when he heard this and gave a warm smile.
Seeing this, Yslian turned around and looked at the soldiers who were pointing their weapons towards Fu Yan a mont ago.
"You will all be sent to prison for pointing your weapons towards the guest of the Queen, and you are to be stripped of your ranks and any benefits that you were getting. Now go, get out of here, I don't want to see you appearing near our respected guest ever again."
Fu Yan chuckled when he heard this. He understood what this captain was trying to do. On one hand, he was trying to please Fu Yan and on the other, he was giving hints to the soldiers that Fu Yan was a royal guest and they should not appear before him. As for their punishnt (that will not happen) and other things, they will deal with it after Fu Yan is gone.
Fu Yan shook his head slightly and shifted his attention towards the royal guards who were still standing in formation.
All of these golden-armored guys were standing tall, standing in a neat formation, and looked as if they were statues.
"Royal guards! Well, one thing is certain: They are well-trained and that armor is not just gold, I think so advanced technology is involved, so they might look like knights who were just covered with gold, but they are more lethal than top soldiers from the earth." He evaluated and compared them.
While he was engrossed in looking at them, Yslian ca to his side and spoke in a low and respectful tone.
"Sir, let's go. I will take you to the royal palace. The Queen is waiting there to welco you."
Fu Yan nodded and started to follow him. After walking a while, they ca near the door where the royal guards had erged from before and went in.
When he went inside, Fu Yan saw that this was a golden room that was engraved with complex patterns similar to those found on circuit boards.
Yslian walked in front of him and guided him in. After that, he placed his hand on the wall and patterns began to glow with green-colored light. Soon the room shook a little and Fu Yan could feel that it was moving upward.
"So this was an elevator." Fu Yan thought, then he shook his head. "Well, if they can build flying cars then what's hard about an elevator?"
Fu Yan then shifted his attention towards the patterns that were glowing on the wall. He started to study them to try and understand their purpose and whether they were similar to circuit boards, connecting different components together.
While Fu Yan was busy studying the patterns, the Royal Guard Captain was looking at him with a keen eye as if he was trying to study Fu Yan.
The reason? Well, he was suddenly called by the Queen with the ergency summoning thod that could only be used when the Queen was in danger or needed help urgently. When he reached her, he found nothing unusual other than a soldier who was from lower levels.
At first, he thought that this soldier had done sothing and was prepared to escort him to the dungeon, but then the Queen told him that he was to go down to the lower level and welco a guest in her place. He was told by the Queen that he needed to welco this person as if he was above her. When she said this, her tone was full of fear and respect. It was as if any mistake were to be made, she would not be able to handle the consequences.
Yslian was shocked when he heard this because he had never seen the Queen acting like this. Ever since he had beco the Captain of the Royal Guards, he had only seen her pure and majestic side.
Since he had sworn to follow the Queen no matter what happened, he obeyed her command and ca to get the guest, but to his surprise, this person belonged to the lowly Nuir race. They belong to slums and did not have any authority on "Anuvis". They were the lowest on the chart.
But sohow he felt that this man was different from others of his race because he gave an aura of a leader, a ruler; and from the calmness in his gaze, he could see that he did not place any of them in his eyes, as if he could get rid of them at any mont.
Yslian let out a sigh and straightened up his back. He knows that no matter how much he pondered on this problem, he wouldn't get an answer so he decided to wait and see. To see what this man had to offer and what he possessed that even the Queen had to be respectful.
