625 Lightning Tribulation Part 3
"Can I still do it?" The doubt arose in his heart, but the Lightning Tribulation didn't allow him to think about it as it sent another Lightning Spear to Alex.
Alex looked up and clenched only his sword this ti while narrowing his eyes. Spiritual Energy began gathering around his sword before the tip glowed in red color. His Pure Fire started covering his sword and concentrated on the tip, creating an imasurable pressure on that single point.
He pulled back his sword like he wanted to thrust it to the sky.
"The lightning spear has the sa function as a normal spear, which is to stab. In other words, it has a power amount of piercing power. Even without my Spirit Eyes, I can clearly see it. The only way to counter this is to have another attack with piercing power. I have used my Fla of Extinction to hold it back previously, but I doubt it will work this ti since it will be stronger than the fifth strike. I can only use this."
Alex took a deep breath and thrust his sword forward, shooting a powerful laser-like attack toward the spear.
"Mythical Spear Cannon (Sword Version)."
He had once used his Mythical Spear Cannon in front of Atlas when testing the strengthened weapons. The spear shot out a powerful and quite large attack at that ti, emphasizing power like its na 'Canon.' Yet, his Spear Throwing Art that he couldn't use anymore because it was too weak inspired him once more, and he arrived at this Mythical Spear Cannon.
If the previous one was Mythical Spear Cannon (Spear Version) that looked like his Power Throwing Art, this Sword Version was similar to his Spin Throwing Art.
Unfortunately, whether it was because this was his Spear Original Skill or any other reasons, he couldn't combine it with his Original Sword Skill, Triple Draws. The most he could do was to use it with his two weapons alone.
However, he didn't necessarily hate it as he knew the power that ca from this Original Skill was far higher than any other Martial Arts, including his Blade of Conquest.
The mont he used his Mythical Spear Cannon, the attacks weren't that big, only slightly bigger than his spear. Yet, the amount of piercing power behind this attack was imasurable.
It clashed with the Lightning Spear and created another shock wave to the surroundings. The Lightning Spear tried piercing the Mythical Spear Cannon while the latter tried breaking the spear, especially its tip. It ended up pushing each other back and forth.
Alex didn't stop there and sent out his phoenix together with his firebirds.
*Boom!* *Boom!* *Boom!*
The sound of an explosion echoed through the entire Special Realm as the fire from the phoenix started burning the spear again, trying to burn the entire spear. However, Alex found that the firebirds weren't as effective as the previous.
Alex looked at the lightning spear that had yet to be broken despite a minute of exchange. As expected, the energy inside the spear was too much to the point it was ridiculous. He had experienced the different level of Lightning Tribulation, but this was really absurd, making him think whether Heaven actually wanted to kill him.
*Bam!*
After pushing each other for two minutes, the two destroyed each other, causing a huge explosion that even engulfed Alex. Fortunately, it didn't do a single thing to Alex as he brushed the explosion like nothing.
"That was insane for the sixth strike…" Alex sighed. "Normally, I will only use my Pure Fire to strike the Sixth and Seventh Strike alone before going with my Martial Arts. This ti is very different, like there was actually soone boosting the Lightning Tribulation."
He ended up shaking his head and threw such a thought from his head. "Rather than complaining, I should use that energy to beat this Lightning Tribulation. I don't know what will happen if I fail this Lightning Tribulation."
Closing his eyes for a second, Alex did his best to regain his calm heart.
*Rumble!*
As if it was undergoing an evolution, the sky flashed in purple color before a sword appeared from within. The sword was made of Lightning entirely and shone in purple light. Its size was very gigantic compared to the spear. Alex thought about Qeigess, the Dragon Prince that had a big body and felt he could use this sword to stab him and use it as a stick to barbecue him. It showed how big the sword he was looking at.
Alex took a deep breath while formulating the plan to destroy the seventh strike. If he couldn't use one attack to destroy it, he just used two.
He thrust his sword once more before the Lightning Tribulation ca down before creating a phoenix that would burn the sword.
As if it was responding to his attacks, the Lightning Tribulation launched the sword at the sa ti as he sent his attack.
"Mythical Spear Cannon!"
"Fire Phoenix Art, First Stage. Phoenix Summon!"
*Rumble!*
The three powerful attacks clashed up high. It created another shock wave, but surprisingly, not enough to blow those dark clouds away. Instead, the dark cloud glued with each other as if it had a magnet inside them.
Luckily, his Mythical Spear Cannon managed to stop it for a second. Alex felt the power behind the sword, but could still endure it for so ti before the lightning managed to break his sword. Hence, the help of his phoenix would be very helpful as it could burn most of the Spiritual Energy inside the Lightning Sword.
Alex could only grit his teeth and continue to hold on, depleting as much as the energy he could.
At the sa ti, he clenched his spear and gathered a huge amount of energy. His soul also stepped on the ground, giving him a surge of energy before converting it to his strength.
The sa as his Dragon Aura. It let out another roar that shook the ground even though Alex's Mythical Spear Cannon hadn't broken. Alex did sothing like this because he was convinced that he would lose in this exchange.
Even so, the battle between his Mythical Spear Cannon and the Lightning Sword still lasted for a minute before his attack began falling apart. The sword continued to push it and split his attack into two.
Alex simply smiled when he watched this. According to his Spirit Eyes, the Sword only had around forty percent of energy left.
With his spear gathering enough energy, Alex could concentrate on his sword and accumulated the sa amount of energy on his sword. He raised both weapons and waved them, sending six Sword Waves simultaneously.
"Triple Draws!"
"Blade of Conquest!"
The Six Sword waves flew toward the sword with their own blazing fla. The size of the sword made it an easy target and without much energy left, Alex's Blade of Conquest gradually destroyed it.
*Crack!*
A sudden cracking sound echoed in his ears as he saw the tip of the sword start to crumble. Sadly, Alex couldn't let out a single smile because the Sword managed to drain his Sword Waves power beyond his imagination.
The battle suddenly beca a close fight, where it was hard to predict who would win. Alex's Spirit Eyes told him that the energy of this attack would be depleted before his sword, but Alex still raised his sword and spear to prepare for the worst-case possible.
*Crack!*
Another cracking sound resounded across the field, alarming Alex. That broken sound ca from his swords, making his heart skip a beat,?albeit the Lightning Sword was shattered right after.
Alex looked up, dumbfounded. "Is that seriously the Seventh Attack?"
The sweat covered his forehead as Alex tried to think for a way to pass this Lightning Tribulation, but couldn't picture him winning this. Just as he was about to fall into deep thought, the sky sent out another Lightning Sword that was supposed to be his Eighth Wave.
Knowing he had no ti to think, Alex pulled back his sword and spear at the sa ti, releasing the sa attack simultaneously.
"Mythical Spear Cannon (Sword Version)."
*Boom!*
The first two attacks alone should have insane power. When it was followed by a Fire Phoenix and let it burn the Lightning Sword, it turned out to be ridiculous.
The two attacks Alex released managed to hold back the sword for a while, letting the fire burn the Lightning Sword. Yet, it only stayed around for a minute despite using both weapons simultaneously.
As soon as the Lightning Sword shattered his attack, he launched his Blade of Conquest coupled with his Triple Draws, sending a total of six Sword Waves.
The collision between them and the Lightning Sword was very intense. Alex didn't want to leave a single detail because even one might determine the fate of this Lightning Tribulation. He found out that the Sword Waves wouldn't be able to win, so he raised both of his swords and infused his Fla and Spiritual Energy inside it.
Alex suddenly leaped toward the Lightning Sword, appearing right beside it. He slashed it six tis with his glowing sword and spear.
"Triple Draws!"
"Heaven Light Slash!"
Every single Heaven Light Slash struck on the sa spot of the sword, which was a bit further from the tip.
Surprisingly, the six slashes managed to shatter a little bit of the sword, making it unstable. His six Sword Waves took this chance to push the sword.
That shattered piece suddenly made the sword tilt because it couldn't handle the pressure from the Sword Waves. The Lightning Sword broke as the Sword Waves moved forward to destroy the rest of its body.
Seeing the job had finished, Alex descended to the ground and let out a relieved sigh. "It's already the Eighth Wave… I can use my Lightning Rod Array to handle the ninth wave… Can I?"
With how the thing proceeded, Alex had absolutely no confidence that his Lightning Rod Array could handle this Martial Monarch Lightning Tribulation. No confidence might be an understatent because he was sure the Lightning Rod Array couldn't even hold a candle against the ninth wave.
The proof ca not long after when the Lightning Sword that signified as the ninth wave appeared. From the Spiritual Energy alone, Alex was sure that the Lightning Rod Array would explode right away when it tried to contain the lightning.
In other words, he needed to weaken the lightning first before using the array, like he did when Mithra guided him in his Martial Lord Lightning Tribulation.
Alex proceeded with the sa attack again, starting from his Mythical Spear Cannon to his Heaven Light Slash, albeit it only managed to chip away sixty percent of the energy before breaking.
The lightning finally made its way toward Alex as the Lightning Rod Array was fully activated.
*Bam!*
The spark of the Lightning Sword began to spread around. As for the sword body, it stopped right in front of the Lightning Rod Array as if there was an invisible barrier.
The Lightning Rod Array gradually absorbed the Lightning from it and channeled it into the ground. Alex also used his Space Elent to increase the Absorption Rate by making a few Lightning Rod Array inside the Blue Colored realm.
He was sweating profusely while controlling the Lightning Rod Array. Hence, it could withstand the lightning for a whole two minutes.
However, the situation suddenly changed when he heard a cracking sound coming from the Lightning Rod Array. His Spirit Eyes imdiately locked onto the array and *Gasp!*
The lightning from the sword started overwhelming the Lightning Rod Array, forcing it to go over the capacity to cause an explosion. It was at this mont, Alex channeled more Spiritual Energy, trying to hold the Lightning Rod Array.
"Co on!" Alex shouted while gritting his teeth, looking very serious in dealing with this.
Yet, despite his sword, an explosion occurred.
*Boom!*
