After dinner, everyone hung around for a bit... Mia, Anna, and Claire were watching TV while Beatrice ca to ask
permission to look around in hopes of finding new, interesting things. Ellie, Licia, and I dealt with washing the dishes. It was a surprisingly calming mood even though so people were watching action movies at a high volu.
But still, Licia and I were talking a bit with Ellie and Beatrice seed to be entertained while trying to understand so of the things she found all over the place, it took a while for
to satiate her curiosity, and it felt like I had yet to see the end of that.
Seeing everyone doing their own thing while getting along gave
a strong vibe of a family living together. It's sothing that I'm not really used to since for most of my life I've lived with my sister, and our parents were rarely, if ever at ho.
Even after Licia and Claire arrived things hadn't changed so much, at least when it ca to the feelings I felt when at ho. Though it always felt nice having them around, the feeling was close to that of roommates sharing a house, mostly due to Claire though, since she only leaves the TV to eat and sleep.
It was already way better than being by myself all day but now it's almost like you're always close to soone, sharing an activity or a conversation. If I stay silent for a second I can hear people speaking from multiple directions... everything feels livelier and I am a little bit proud of that.
I know there's a lot on everyone's mind. Hell, even I'm worrying about the event that will co soon... but still, right now I can tell by the current mood that they're, even if a little bit, distracted from all of that. Here they are secure, away from whatever hurts them.
They are surrounded by people who understand their experience better than anyone else probably could, and all the while, though it might not amount to much, I have my mind set on doing what I can to make their experience the best possible.
I stand to gain from all that I'm doing for them, but to be honest, I don't think anything is more rewarding for
than knowing that whatever I'm doing, be it small or big, is having a positive impact on them.
The contrast between what I have now and what I used to have is becos even more clear as soon as those who live in the [Kingdom] leave to rest, leaving only Licia, Claire, and I in the house. Though it's what I was used to before today, suddenly, it feels a bit empty, as if sothing was lacking.
Claire: "I'm beat, do you mind if I go to bed first?"
Miwen: "I think I'm also done for the day, so shall we go together?"
Claire: "S-sure..."
There wasn't anything else for
to do since I was also sure to spend any remaining mana, leaving only enough to avoid the side effects of spending it all.
Miwen: "What about you Licia?"
Licia: "I'll join you later. There's still one thing left I need to do..."
Miwen: "I see, do you need help?"
Licia: "Oh? No, no. I'll be fine, really... more importantly... It's better if you go now."
She was very flustered while saying this and I couldn't help but get a bit worried since normally she'd take any chance to be around , but whatever it was, it seed like she'd be able to handle it, so I decided to leave her be.
Miwen: "Hm... alright."
After parting with her, it didn't take long for
to figure out why she wanted to stay by herself for a while.
Actually, it was pretty fast, as soon as I stepped foot in my room, the reason beca obvious.
The image of that cute girl undressing right before my eyes was enough to send a shock through my system that almost seed to wake
up from a dream. Yeah, of course, what have I been thinking about all this ti? It surprises even
that sothing like that slipped my mind. I guess since her deanor didn't change I also didn't get too conscious about it.
It's a sha that I couldn't watch her undress from head to toe, but catching the final monts also had its appeal, it felt like I had gotten lucky and saw sothing I wasn't supposed to.
Claire: "So... uhm... shouldn't you do the sa?"
Miwen: "Ah... yeah, I guess so."
At this mont, Claire had my complete attention, even while undressing, all I could think of was how she seed less assertive, even her voice being softer than usual.
Though it was cute seeing her like this, I also wanted to make her comfortable, so after closing the door, I walked towards the bed, where I lay down next to her.
Ever since I started to approach her it was noticeable that a little embarrassnt was growing every step until I was by her side, where it culminated.
Miwen: "Do you want
to turn off the lights? Or perhaps you'd feel better under the sheets?"
Claire: "No.. It's just that I don't know what I should do, so..."
