Chapter 128: Fast Metabolism [200GT Bonus Chapter]

Lukas had to admit, his imagination had really been narrow.

When he’d heard they’d be riding in a coal train, his mind had gone to the old coal trains that had been used back on earth, but the monstrosity before him was different.

The first thing he noticed was the width. This train was much wider than normal trains, which meant it would be much more spacious.

The second thing he noticed was the reason why there were no train tracks.

The entire length of the train hovered a few inches off the ground, as if it had invisible wheels, not even moving an inch.

Dark smoke reminiscent of a coal engine poured off the bottom of the train, but instead of clogging up the air, they immediately dissolved into nothingness, giving the train a cool steampunk look.

Even Akira and Melody beside him stared at the creation in wonder. He should have expected it but it was clear the train had been built by not only [Engineers], but also [Artificers].

There was a short yet loud whine from the train, and when it stopped, the doors opened, each one manned by a ticket inspector.

Lukas, Akira, and Melody made their way to one of the doors, presenting their tickets before they were allowed to enter.

The ticket inspector stamped their tickets, before making a note on the small pad he kept attached to his belt.

Inside, they couldn’t keep their eyes off the interior.

Unlike what would be expected of a normal train, the interior looked like what one would expect from a house.

There was a small lobby, with signs on the various doors leading to different parts of the train.

At the front of the train was the driver’s compartment, which Lukas later learned was big enough for the man to live comfortably, with a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and of course, a toilet and bathroom.

Next were the luxury suites for the VIP customers, which the Le Fay family had taken when they were coming and leaving Havenhart. They were self contained apartments, just like the driver’s, complete with butlers to attend to their every need during their journey.

And after that were the bar, lounge, and then the dining area. This was the place that separated the wealthy from the ordinary folks. Because even in a world like this, there were still class differences.

For example, it would take an insane amount of luck and time for an individual to accumulate the kind of wealth a family like the Le Fays had.

And people like the Le Fays valued privacy and security. Which meant it was almost impossible for a normal passenger to cross from the normal section to the VIP section. Not without first gaining entry to the exclusive lounges.

After the dining rooms were the single rooms where normal passengers could book. And after that were the bunk rooms. Lukas had bought a whole room for themselves.

The remaining carriages were for cargo.

Lukas, Akira, and Melody made their way through the passageways until they found the door to their bunk room.

Lukas opened it, and what he saw was exactly what he was expecting, except bigger.

Along both walls was a bunk bed each, but in the middle of the room was a small table with one chair on each side.

Opposite the door was a rectangular window that spanned the entire length of the wall. Fortunately, it didn’t extend from floor to ceiling but was from head to chest height, providing a panoramic view of the world outside.

Right now, all they could see was the walls of the train station, with hundreds of people waiting for their own train on the other side.

"I want top bunk." Akira said immediately, pushing past Lukas to climb the small steps on the side of the bunk beds.

She flopped onto the top bunk of the bed on the left hand side, grinning widely.

As for Melody, she walked into the room with a smile on her face. She turned to Lukas. "Guess you’ll be sleeping on the bottom bunk."

Then she climbed to the top bunk of the bed on the right hand side.

As for Lukas, he didn’t bother to dispute their claim. He was perfectly fine sleeping on the bottom bunk.

Instead, he headed to the side of the room, where a small door fitted into the wall. He opened it to see a bathroom, complete with a toilet seat. The room was half the length of the bunk room.

Nodding at the accommodations, he finally made his way to the bottom bunks, sitting on the closest one.

Just then, Akira’s stomach growled. Melody sat up immediately, her smile widening into a grin. "You’re already hungry?!"

Akira rubbed her stomach, her grin still on her face. "Must be my fast metabolism."

"High metabolism my ass." Melody chuckled. "Just admit you’re a glutton."

"A glutton," Akira acted as if she was offended. "With all the exercise I’ve been doing lately, it’s a wonder I haven’t been eating more."

"What exercise?" Lukas asked with a frown, genuinely confused. "You’ve been lazing about for the past two weeks, haven’t you?"

"You weren’t saying all these when you had me bent over the table, fucking me raw." Akira muttered. "And now you’re telling me all that didn’t count as exercise?"

Lukas chuckled at her words. "Guess I’ll have to stop giving you so much... exercise. Wouldn’t want your metabolism to collapse from all the activity."

"Don’t you fucking dare," Akira hissed, glaring at him. "If you remove the most constant joy I’m getting in my life right now, I’ll tie you up and ride you till you’re empty of all fluids."

"Don’t threaten me with a good time." Lukas held her gaze, giving her a wink.

"And what if that’s what I want?" Akira’s grin turned sly.

But before Lukas could answer, a translucent blue screen appeared before his eyes.

Ding!
