As Legion watched it, they were sure that the crown would soon start to sink into the ground, and if no one stopped it, it would eventually bury itself in the ground and beco hidden from the world.
Legion couldn’t allow this to happen. They couldn’t allow what they’ve tried to acquire to get buried for nothing, so they quickly began an attempt to control the crown.
If nobles want to control the Crown of Nobility, they must possess the Vassal Maker divine ability. This Vassal Maker divine ability is a rank 9 divine ability, so only angels of nobility can control the Crown of Nobility.
But possessing the Vassal Maker divine ability is just the first requirent. One would still need sufficient power to subdue the crown.
The Vassal Maker divine ability allows nobles to designate other people as their vassals. Vassals are the subordinates of nobles. The life and death of vassals are controlled by the angel of nobility, and as long as the soul of a Vassal remains intact, the Vassal can be resurrected by the angel of nobility.
Vassals aren’t slaves, though. They have free will, and vassals can’t be acquired by force. Soone must be willing to beco a vassal before the Vassal Maker divine ability can convert them into a vassal.
Just like normal people need to be convinced before they beco a vassal, the Crown of Nobility also has to be convinced by the angel of nobility before the Vassal Maker divine ability can work on it.
In order to make soone agree to beco a vassal, angels of nobility can coerce with benefits or threaten with force. But for the Crown of Nobility, the only way to convince it to surrender to the Vassal Maker divine ability is to use the rank 8 Heritage divine ability.
The Heritage divine ability improves the power of a noble based on the size of their family, how wealthy they are, and how powerful their noble family is. The Heritage divine ability also grants nobles the qualifications to beco angels of nobility.
An angel of nobility with an impressive heritage will be able to convince the Crown of Nobility to submit. The god of nobles impressed the Crown of Nobility by converting angels of nobility into his vassals and using them to create the liege system with its core in the Empire of Nobles.
Legion is not a noble godclad, so they can’t repeat this thod. They don’t have the ti to create sothing so impressive either, which ans that they have to resort to other thods.
Despite not being an angel of nobility and despite the fact that they lack a powerful heritage, they still have two thods that they can try. The first thod is brute force, while the second one is enslaving the Crown of Nobility by force.
Anyone who can overco the repelling barrier of the Crown of Nobility, get close to it, lift it, and place it on their head without being crushed by the weight of the crown, gets to gain control of it. This is the brute force thod.
The brute force thod is for knights to use because they lack sophisticated thods to gain control of the Crown of Nobility. It is the thod that the god of justice would have used if he were still alive.
Legion is not a knight and can’t bolster their strength with the strength of the masses, and they can’t share the burden of the crown onto their followers as a knight can. So they will have to use the second thod.
The second thod is to use the Mark of Slavery divine ability to try to control the Crown of Nobility. But they still have to get close to the Crown of Nobility and touch it in order to use this divine ability on it.
They can easily create a mark of slavery, which they did. They can also put the mark in a virtual copy, so that their true body wouldn’t have to descend to control the Crown of Nobility.
All of these were successful. The virtual copy with the mark of slavery descended successfully and went over to the Crown of Nobility. But when the virtual copy got close to the crown, the repelling barrier around the crown pushed the invisible and intangible virtual copy away from it.
