Advancing to godling in two pathways is not only about having the required number of souls to sustain the two pathways. There is also the requirent of having an innate talent that is compatible with not just one pathway, but two pathways.
At the level of a legend, godclads stop being able to use divine artifacts and the divine abilities of other pathways when they enter their liberated state. But they can still use the divine abilities of a second pathway once they leave their liberated state.
However, there is no option to use the divine abilities of another pathway once one becos a godling. The repulsion of the divine body is so strong that a godling will beco unable to use the divine abilities and divine flesh of any other pathway in the body. And this effect is permanent because the divine body is permanent.
Once a godclad becos a godling, they stop being a human. They permanently beco the divine beast form of the first pathway to advance to the godling rank, and they can’t acquire a permanent divine body of another pathway because there is usually no way for the two permanent divine bodies to exist together.
Legion didn’t know all of these because they don’t have access to this kind of information. But even in their ignorance, they were smart enough to figure out that without their innate talent, which allows their body to shift and adapt to various adverse conditions, they wouldn’t have survived the process of becoming a godling in two pathways.
After the pathway of undying and the pathway of slavery advanced to the godling rank, they grew stronger in many ways. Their bodies beca stronger, they gained more divine energy, the rate at which they fused with the Mind Palace beca faster, and they gained two more rank 10 divine abilities.
The rank 10 divine ability of the pathway of undying is called Death Adaptation. This is a divine ability that will take effect after sothing kills them and they resurrect. Once the Death Adaptation divine ability takes effect, whatever was responsible for their death would lose its effectiveness on them.
Normally, as undying godclads, they can resurrect from the dead. But they could still be killed again in the sa way. So, unless they gain new divine abilities and power, whatever killed them before is likely to kill them again.
The Death Adaptation divine ability serves to prevent the sa thing from killing them more than once. It will increase their immunity to whatever killed them, thereby reducing its effectiveness on them to 50%.
In fact, the Death Adaptation divine ability can reduce the effectiveness of a thod or type of attack on them to 99%. That way, they would slowly beco immune to everything that can kill them in the universe.
When they gained this rank 10 divine ability, they were reminded of the guardian curse that the giant had placed on them, and thought that the Death Adaptation divine ability would have been very useful to deal with it.
When the Seal ultimate ability was first used on them, it locked away all of their divine abilities. Even their physical strength and divine energy were slowly being sapped away. The only divine abilities that could continue to work in that state were their ultimate divine abilities and rank 10 divine abilities.
The Environntal Adaptation, in particular, had been very useful in helping them break out of that predicant. The Independence ultimate ability would have helped them escape the white fabric instantly, but only the Environntal Adaptation divine ability was able to help them build immunity to the white fabric, so that they would be able to use their normal divine abilities.
Unfortunately, the Environntal Adaptation divine ability didn’t get enough ti to build up the necessary immunity to the white fabric. Then the white fabric was used to curse them to guard the Ocean of Blood.
The Environntal Adaptation divine ability was still working even when they were cursed, but its progress was slow because the curse was having very little direct effect on them. The curse didn’t stop them from taking the Ocean of Blood. It only really showed its power after they had taken the Ocean of Blood.
But the ti it used to display its power was short. It was too short for Legion-2 to use the Environntal Adaptation divine ability to gain resistance to it. Before they could gain resistance to it, Legion-2 was already dead.
They believe that if they had the Death Adaptation divine ability when the curse killed them, they would have surely gained a lot of resistance to it, and the power of the curse would be reduced to 50% next ti it was used against them.
All in all, the Death Adaptation divine ability is a divine ability that they don’t hope to have a use for because it requires them to die before it can take effect. But if there was ever a situation where they would need the Death Adaptation divine ability, they would surely be glad to have it.
Their third rank 10 divine ability was nad the Offensive Adaptation divine ability. They called it this because it would help all of their other divine abilities beco more effective against their enemies.
Each of their rank 10 divine ability was influenced by the pathway that created them. Both their innate talent and the divine flesh in that pathway had a part to play in what rank 10 divine ability the divine fragnt turned into.
They gained the Environntal Adaptation divine ability because the divine form of the pathway of killing was fluid and highly malleable. So the Environntal Adaptation would be able to easily change its bloody form to adapt to adverse external conditions.
As for their Death Adaptation divine ability, they gained it because the pathway of undying was all about overcoming death. But for the pathway of slavery, the goal was to overwhelm other people and gain control of them.
